It's a very short pre-season in France because Ligue 2 begins july 31. I had to substitute big parts of my personal staff and needed to hire six new scouts. It appears to exist a lot of exciting talents in Auxerre. Four pre-seasons games was played and we won only one of these and got three draws, two against ligue 1 teams. Actually I don't have any idea of the quality of my team and with no money I can't sign any new Messi, unfortunately. I will update after half season played and we'll see what's happened. Cheers

Half season played in beautiful Ligue 2. Very fun to play this league, including two nonseeding cup. Since 1 september I kept struggeling with the tactic, I thought I find one but after time passed I scored too few goals. Defence has been quite good all season. I made a few changes, but it's in fact the same tactic but not so offensive. I call it 4-5-1 with inverted wings (midfield left and right). I like when my wings go to the inside on his defender, it was much more effective on FM15 but it works okey on FM16 as well.
Unfortunetaly I loosed against Ajaccio in the League cup but I have one more chance to succed in the French cup. Hope I have luck with the draw there. My goal is still reachable this season. Hope my good form keeps going.

The economy in Auxerre is not the best so the second mercato wasn't a lovely one but I managed to sign a few loans that satisfied me.

Auxerre is predicted 17th and odds 301.00 to win the league. Results has been very satisfying, but the economy isn't. My board lowered the wage budget and i'm having trouble there
If I win all the remaining games MAYBE I can win the league but PSG is too strong, and I think it will take 3-5 years to win the league. Not so hard to do good as a newcomer in Ligue 1 but it is one of the most difficult leagues to win I think.

A horrible month. Started good with a 2-0 win against Dijon in French Cup but in that game my fantastic goalkeeper got injured and gone for 5-6 weeks. With his absence Auxerre can't win. Before the defeat against Saint-Etienne we had 17 consecutive games without loosing. And in the draw for semifinals we got PSG.... away. Fuck.

Can't be happy with only two victorys of six. Boucher was back to the game against PSG and we did a great game and definitely deserved to be in the final. Three important games left and the last against Marseille could decide a lot probably. But I don't think we will reach Champions League, but hopefully we can reach Europa League, and that's enough at this stage of the club. Look at match stats against PSG

Summary
Very nice to qualify to Champions League first year in Ligue 1. Transfer budget was set to about 5 mil euros so it sucks. Will be a difficult mercato, especially when I loose my goalkeeper Boucher on free agent and my midfielder Kilic because he won't sign a new contract. Jordan Ferri is already signed and I must find good loans next season cause I don't have money to buy. But a fantastic season

I fucked up this mercato. I was desperate to find a keeper and I couldn't say no to Rajkovic cause he's very good, but I spent to much money. I need better offensive players, that's why I desperately signed Ben Arfa on last day. I want to sign as much french players as possible, but it's hard. And the result isn't very good. Actually happy I didn't make it to Champions League cause my squad is too bad for it. In Europa League group I have: Man U, Dinamo and FC Steaua. Difficult.
I don't have any seasongoals yet, what do you think I should expect? We're predicted 9th place this year. I want a trophy. maybe we can win French Cup or Coupe de la Ligue. Yes, that's my goal this season
Edit: Haha, on 1st September my board raises the transfer budget from 0 to 9 mill Euro.....
