Please don't use these thinking that you'll receive amazing results, these are tactics from a time where football was a lot different than it is now. But, maybe with a bit of tweaking they could be incorporated into today's game. Though as FM doesn't allow complete customisation of tactics its very hard just to get the players into the correct positions!

Anyway if anyone does decide to give them a go please post up your results for us to see.

(you will probably need to push the central attacking midfielders forward if you wish to play an out and out striker in that position)

Decided to give one of them a go myself and was very surprised at the result. I used the W-M with a weakened Arsenal side, may just have been one of those games where everything went right but i shall continue to use it anyhow. The only change i had to make was to move the central AM into the Striker position for obvious reasons.

Second game.

Only have two games left this season against Chelsea and then Tottenham, so these two matches should really test the W-M out.

I have been using a few I had success in FM15 and to my surprise have had good results.

This is one of my favorites. Used it during my current Watford test save. Working wonders.

I'm amazed how well the 'W-M' has faired in those games, lost the final game 1-0 at Chelsea which is much better than i expected. Gonna sign another DM in the summer and give it a go for the whole of the second season to see if those results were actually just a fluke. Will watch that vid later too.

During my run with Melbourne City in the Pentagon challenge, I used the 2-3-5 out of necessity, and lack of funds to bring anyone else in. Only one defender could play the wing back, Several CMs could play DM, strikers doubled as CAMs too. Managed to get 5th place out of 10.

Would be great to see them return to the real world, though i very much doubt that will ever happen.

I was using that one but with a 'Defensive Forward' instead of an 'Shadow Striker'.

The 3-2-2-3-formation will not work. Trying with Southampton. Lot of conceded goals.

VP: Do you have the edited version included striker available for download?

morale of your team is more important that any one tactic ... good morale makes a stranded tactic stand out i think
