Was on last night, recorded it myself and have only seen half of it so far. Basically its a program about the history of football video games so well worth a watch, i'm lucky enough to have pretty much played most if not all the football games ever realised in this country from the late 80's onwards. So for an oldy like me its brings back some real nostalgia (Sensible Soccer>Everygameevermade) or for the youngsters its a chance for them to see that once apon a time there was a lot more than just FIFA!

Anyway make sure you watch it, Miles is also on the show.

Did you ever play a game called Power Soccer? I spend so much time on that when I was a kid. Never used to be interested in Fifa, I always ended up playing older games.

my earliest memories of soccer games were on the mega drive with the fifa games, i also had a game called world championship soccer on mega drive, it was very primitive but i enjoyed it at the time. my next console after mega drive was n64, the only soccer game i had on that was fifa 99 and it was all i needed, that game was absolutely brilliant for the time. after n64 my next console was dreamcast which didn't have a great selection of soccer games unfortunately, the virtua striker games were my favourite on that system, incredibly cheesy and unrealistic but very addictive, uefa striker was a decent effort, the intro video really got you pumped but the actual game didn't really live up to it. pro evolution soccer ruled the ps2 of course, but honourable mention for a game called red card which was an incredibly strange football game but very fun. a couple of soccer games i had on the pc were michael owens world league soccer 99, don't remember liking it much tho, it paled in comparison to fifa 99, i just found out that a later version of that game was released for n64, wls 2000, never played it tho. the other one i remember was uefa champions league 01/02, that game was actually really cool, instead of having the regular teams it had finalists of the competition from previous years so you could use classic teams and players. the landscape of football games has become a bit more boring now, football manager is the only one i play, i have become bored of pes and fifa, there definitely needs to be some fresh games in the genre from other companies...
