A One Way Ticket to Asia ... and Beyond!

More disappointment in the league as we were somehow held to a 0-0 draw at home to Everton to make it 3 games without a win, I can feel the title slipping away already! We continued to struggle but results began to improve starting with a narrow 2-1 win over Nublense in the cup thanks to Lopez & Bolados strikes in the second half booking a Quarter Final place, we then secured back to back 1-0 wins in the league, the first thanks to an Oscar screamer in the 75th minute at home to Rangers and then away at Iquique a 74th minute strike from the struggling Mirko Hernandez grabbed us 3 points Things finally started to fall into place at home to Cobresal as Bolados put us ahead early on and Dominguez smashed home a second soon after, Jose Parraguez made it 3-0 in the second half.




3 straight wins just about keeps us in the title race but it's going to be an intriguing run in, we go to Union Espanola in the next game while leaders Santiago face a trip to Cobresal. The final day could be huge as we face a straightforward home game against Union San Felipe but more importantly Santiago host Union Espanola!




Our ball winner Diego Dominguez has been solid this month and to be fair he deserves the recognition for his screamer against Cobreloa alone!




Concerning that our top scorer after almost half a season has just 5 goals!




This should be a bumpy ride! We've been handed league leaders Santiago in the cup Quarter Final over 2 legs, we then face the final 2 leagues games with a huge game at Union Espanola and then a visit from San Felipe.

Well we've done our part, it's the best we can do, tactics have fallen in to place and a clean sweep this month makes it 8 straight wins in all competitions. We progressed to the cup Semi Final with a 2-0 first leg win with goals from Cansina & Lopez then a 2-1 home win with Olguin & Dominguez on the score sheet, securing a 4-1 aggregate win over league leaders Santiago. The result seemed to dent Santiago's confidence as they were beaten in the league by Cobresal, we smashed Union Espanola on their own turf with goals from Parraguez and a Hernandez brace only replied to by a late consolation meaning the title race goes to the final day, where Santiago host Union Espanola! We humiliated Union San Felipe with Bolados grabbing a hat trick an own goal and a brace from Parraguez giving us a 6-0 lead before a late consolation for the visitors. We needed a favour from Union Espanola to win the Opening Stage...



We got it! Santiago were held 0-0 meaning we pipped them to the Opening Stage title at the death! Didn't see that coming a month ago it looked dead and buried for us!




We took the title by a single point from Santiago who head into the playoffs alongside Union Espanola, Catolica & Iquique. Colo Colo miss out on goal difference which is a big shock!




Consistent Cansina! This guy just turns up and does his thing week in week out, hard working and energetic he likes to get forward too and managed to grab a goal this month as well as 2 assists.




Parraguez has come to life of late but unfortunately I can't see him being here past this window, he's being chased by a number of clubs and stated at the start of the season that he wants to leave, he's out of contract in the summer and won't discuss a new deal so I may have to cut my losses.

The inevitable departure of Parraguez is confirmed, managed to get £5m despite only having 6 months left on his contract so it's not too bad, 20% of next sale profit comes to us as well and his next move should be the big jump to Europe, he's certainly good enough. I've made the loan of young Renato Lopez permanent for a hefty £4.5m although he has big boots to fill. The other 2 signings are both youth players who will head straight to our U20's. We've also shipped out defender Hernandez as he isn't getting any football.




A hectic schedule this month with 2 cup games and 6 league games, we opened by grabbing a late win over O'Higgins as Dominguez popped up with a peach in the dying minutes, Olguin continued to impress in the cup with a brace against Concepcion with Dominguez on the score sheet again as well in a 3-1 first leg triumph, Olguin is now registered for the league as well which will hopefully increase our scoring power. We breezed past Santiago with first half goals from Cansina & Oscar making it 2-0 then Hernandez wrapping up a 3-0 win in stoppage time, a first half demolition job followed with an own goal, a brace from Lopez & Cansina scoring to hand us a 4-0 lead, Concepcion got one back in the second half making it 7-2 on aggregate and our 12th straight win in all competitions. The famous FM wobble then set in, we failed to see out a win against Cobreloa despite leading twice through Olguin and youngster Jimenez and had to settle for a draw, then the Cup Final proved to be a disaster, things were going ok until Dominguez was sent off for a 'bad tackle' (won the ball!) in the first half, Colo Colo immediately punished us and raced into a 2-0 half time lead, Lopez gave us hope making it 2-1 but we were caught on the break and Colo Colo wrapped up a 3-1 win, absolutely devastating! Back to league action and back to winning ways as Olguin bagged a vital brace to turn around a 1-0 deficit away at Nublense, in the final game of the month I literally have no words to describe our performance, lowly San Luis ripped us a new one on our own ground, Olguin's last minute strike was little consolation for this result!




5th after 5 games, not good but it's early days, the San Luis game and th cup final defeat has really got to me though, and the loss of Parraguez, I fear for the rest of the season I really do!




This guy!! What the hell was the last manager thinking loaning Olguin to Espanola?? The guy is an absolute goal machine and is only 20 years old, his finishing is sublime, 4 starts and 1 sub appearances, 6 goals! Could be our hero this season!




Olguin is now top scorer despite only starting 9 games so far! Cansina still remains the top rated player this season.




Parraguez named as South American Football of the Year for his performances with us prior to his switch to River, highlights how good he really is, so gutting to lose him!




Looks like a quiet month but that is set to change, the Copa Libertadores Group Stage is due to start in February so there will be more games to come next month, in the league we face home games against Concepcion, Colo Colo & Catolica as well as a trip to Huachipato, a tough month ahead.

Fairly pleased with this group to be honest, avoiding clubs from Argentina and Brazil should give us a strong chance of qualification, would expect Sante Fe and Liga de Quito to be tricky but Olimpia should be a breeze really. Hard to tell but i'm confident of getting through this group.




Renato Lopez struck a stoppage time winner for us against Concepcion although it should have been comfortable, our trip to Huachipato also could have been comfortable but it was another single goal victory with Bolados netting the all important goal in the 65th minute. We then faced back to back Copa Libertadores ties in quick succession first of all seeing off Liga de Quito thanks to a goal from each of the strikers, Olguin putting us ahead early and Hernandez coming off the bench to secure the points, Lopez was the man of the moment as we destroyed Olimpia, he grabbed a first half brace and Hernandez secured a 3-0 victory in the second half. We returned to league action and made it 5 out of 5 this month with a 4-2 win over Catolica, 4 different scorers for us with Bolados, Cansina, Roco and Lopez all hitting the net.




3 straight league wins see us back on track as we fly up to 2nd just a point behind leaders Colo Colo who are looking much improved in the Closing Stage.




Santa Fe also secured back to back wins in the opening 2 Copa Libertadores games, we face each other in our next 2 games which should see the group really take shape.




Another solid month from our box to box midfielder Cansina, solid in all 5 games this month but particularly impressed in the wins over Huachipato & Catolica.







A trip to Everton just a few days before a huge game as we host leaders Colo Colo, we then travel to Rangers in the league. We are at home to Santa Fe in the Libertadores and then host Iquique in the league before travelling to Colombia to play Santa Fe again in the Libertadores, another busy month for us.

We made light work of seeing off Everton with a 4-1 win, Lopez got things going in the 3rd minute and Alonso grabbed a first half brace, Everton got one back but Carmelinckx got a rare goal to restore our 3 goal advantage 7 minutes from time, we were then frustrated by leaders Colo Colo as we went behind early on, Olguin got us level in the second half but despite our domination the visitors held out for a draw to keep them top of the league. we returned to winning ways at Rangers with another 4-1 win, this time there were 4 different scorers with Olguin opening the scoring, Carmelinckx again scoring, Cansina & Hernandez also getting among the goals. I was expecting a tough match against Santa Fe but we destroyed them, first half strikes from Cansina, Lopez, Vargas & Hernandez put us 4-0 up at the break, Lopez grabbed his second in the second half before Santa Fe found a consolation goal but the damage was well and truly done, a great result! The goals continued to flow as we smashed Iquique 4-0, Bolados opened the floodgates Lopez grabbed a brace for the second game running and Hernandez was on the score sheet for the 3rd game in a row, we rounded off the month impressively securing qualification in the Libertadores with a 3-0 win at Santa Fe thanks to an Olguin brace and a late Alonso strike. 21 goals scored in 6 games, not too bad.






We've gone top with just 3 games to go, Catolica have moved up to second on goal difference thanks to Colo Colo's poor form which sees them down in third. Only 3 points separate us though so it's far from done, but looking good.



Delighted with this, breezed through the group at a canter!




Jose Parraguez who? Lopez has been fantastic on the left wing and the sale of Parraguez has really enabled the youngster to flourish, 5 goals and 4 assists in his 6 games and he's quickly become the focal point of the time, absolutely buzzing with this.







I was hoping for some talent to come into the club as there is a drastic lack of youth talent in Chile but this doesn't impress me at all, there's a few that may develop into squad players at best by the looks of it.




In the league we host Espanola then go to Cobresal and finish with a trip to San Felipe that's not on the screenie, we have 2 Libertadores games with no pressure away at Olimpia and home to Liga de Quito which gives us a massive boost as we can rest players for the league run in.

We needed 7 points from our last 3 games to win the league and got 9, so we've won the Closing Stage to go with the Opening Stage and Super Cup, shame about the Chilean Cup! Alonso put us ahead against Espanola and we wrapped up a 2-0 win as substitute Vargas' single contribution in his 2 minutes on the field was to head home from a corner. Already qualified from the Libertadores I made 10 changes for the trip to Olimpia and got punished with a 2-0 defeat but we reaped the rewards as our fresh xi tore Cobresal apart with a brace from Olguin and single strike from Dominguez securing a 3-0 win that handed us the title thanks to Catolica and Colo Colo dropping points. Goals from Pinto, Lopez and Hernandez finished our Libertadores group stage in style wth a 3-0 win over Liga de Quito which saw us progress as the 3rd best side from the group stage, which would hopefully make the draw kinder to us for the next round. We finished the league campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win at San Felipe thanks to early second half strikes from Oscar and Hernandez.



3 trophies and a record points tally in my first season here, nothing like setting the bar high!!




We wont the title by 5 points from Uni Catolica picking up 38 points from a possible 45, and I was worried when Parraguez left us haha




The draw was rather kind to us, we face Ecuadorian side Barcelona Guayaquil in a tie we really should be progressing from.



And progress we did, but it shouldn't have been this close, we romped into a 4-1 half time lead in Ecuador with a brace a piece from Olguin & Alonso, but Barcelona fought back in the second half to keep the contest alive with the first leg ending 4-3. We were never under pressure in the second leg though and Olguin's first half strike had us firmly in control as we eased in to the quarter finals. Our reward?



Velez Sarsfield!! The Argentinian giants have won the competition the last 2 seasons so this really couldn't have been tougher...



The dream is over, and was by half time in the first leg as Velez raced into a 3-0 lead, we managed to contain them for the remaining game and a half but couldn't a way through their stubborn Argie backline! Worth noting though that Velez went on to clinch the trophy for a third year in a row! Incredible achievement.




So many great performers in this side, unfortunately I can't see many of them being here next season! The whole first choice xi has been fantastic as have a few of the rotational players but I have to give special praise to our main match winners Lopez and Olguin! Lopez scored 15 and created 11 in his 33 starts and really stepped up after Parraguez left and the recall of Olguin was inspired as he netted 20 times in 24 starts on top of hitting 9 in 10 for Union Espanola before his return to the club, sensational stuff and he's still young!



Olguin obviously the top scorer this term, Cansina just scoops the highest average rating with 7.77 just ahead of his partner in the midfield Alonso who has 7.73! Bolados has been the primary creator with a massive 18 assists this season but he's already agreed to move on at the end of his contract in the summer. Finances have taken a huge hit this season mainly through rebuilding the squad and also our training facilities have slipped in standards and the board refuse to upgrade them, which is annoying!




Cansina gets player of the season with the rest of the midfield trio Alonso and Dominguez rounding up the top 3, in truth though it could have gone to 6 or 7 players quite easily. Ball winning midfielder surprisingly gets goal of the season but deservedly so for his belter against O'Higgins. Signing of the season surprisingly is Eduardo Pinto, I thought Lopez would've got this, and obviously young player of the season is Olguin.



The backbone of the team of the year are our players, Roco, Carmelinckx, Alonso & Cansina.



Manager of the Year goes to me, of course Confused how Colo Colo's gaffer got in the top 3 as they underachieved considerably in my opinion.


The hard work starts now as a number of players are being chased by bigger clubs from Argentina, Spain, Germany etc... Think this awesome squad will be very different next season!

Thanks Dan, never expected it to go that well with the squad I inherited. Can't see next season being this easy though I have a number of key players wanting to move on and the 2 U20 players in the matchday squad rule is a pain in the backside cause there's no good young talent in the country!

Big changes in this window and i'm not sure i'm too pleased with the outcome really but anyway... Oscar, Bolados & Vargas are the only players of note to leave at the end of their contracts, de Gregorio & Gonzalez were moved on as they weren't getting enough football and Mardones & Hernandez have gone on load to get some first team football. The ones i'm not happy with are the loss of Zuniga to Monchengladbach and Carmelinckx to Fenerbahce although I can well understand there reasons for moving it's a real shame to lose them. Alonso also wants to leave so as soon as someone meets his release clause he will be gone as well, 3 key players from last season gone Time to introduce the new recruits...



Carvallo comes in from Santos to replace the outgoing assist machine Bloados, the diminutive Chilean is technically gifted but isn't the quickest, he will have to adapt to playing on the right win but has the attributes required to do just that, also can play left wing and center midfield so a good cover option.



My most expensive signing of the window so far Brayan Garcia comes in from Quilmes and will slot in to right back although he is equally capable of playing at left back which is welcome versatility, he has a fair amount of pace and has all the attributes required to be among the best full backs in the country.



Dantas is a monster at the back and originally came in to replace Enzo Roco who is nearing retirement, but with Carmelinckx going as well he will slot into that role and I have brought in a ball playing defender to accompany him. The Brazilian is 6 foot 8 so should dominate and he is strong, hard working and has very strong mental stats so should be consistent.



I raided my former club to bring in Soto to replace Zuniga, he is up there with the best left backs in the division and has been consistent over the past couple of years, he isn't as good as Zuniga by any stretch but is very capable provided he keeps control of his high aggression.



Salazar is a player I have tracked since I came to Chile but the youngster moved to Brazilian side Corinthians, I swooped to grab him on loan for the season as cover for Lopez and thri choice striker. His development has stalled since his big move so this could give him a chance to secure a permanent move back to Chile.



Sithole comes in to play with Dentas at the back, we played against him in the Copa Libertadores last year at Liga de Quito and he impressed, he has solid attributes all over really and with a good turn of pace all the back 4 now can hold their own in that sense so we will be very capable of playing a higher line this season.




A comfortable draw as always in the group stage, this will be treated as our pre season schedule, we face Nublense from our division who are a mid table side and 2 sides from the division below are Coquimbo Unido and Barnachea.



A clean sweep for us despite treating it as our pre season, it took us a while to get going against Barnachea but Dentas headed hom with 15 minutes to play and we never looked back, Lopez & Carmelinckx added goals to secure a 3-0 win. 2 first half goals from Olguin & Lopez were enough to ease us past Nublense, another simple win came when Hernandez scored and Salazar netted a brace to secure a 3-0 win over Coquimbo, the trip to Nublense was a little tougher and Salazar was the man of the moment netting a screamer just before half time to hand us a 1-0 win. A fifth win from 5 and another clean sheet as we saw off Barnachea thanks to a super hat trick from Olguin secured top place in the group. Our heavily rotated side struggled in the final game against Coquimbo, despite taking an early lead through Hernandez we were 2-1 down at the break, I ripped into them and they responded magnificently, Carvallo leveled the game and Garcia handed us the lead from a corner, Hernandez went on to complete his hat trick and a 5-2 win for us, 100% record from group stage.




Same as last year the board want us tow in both league stages and aren't bothered about anything else. Personally I want to get my hands on the Cup as we missed out on it last season so if we can win that i'll be happy with just one stage in the league.




I have taken on the Chile U20's job which gives me access to the National Pool and a chance to evaluate young players from other clubs so could be a potential bonus for the club too.



Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia and Peru are the competition for the U20 Championship Group Stage in January, judging by the World Rankings we are 2nd favorites but to be honest the current U20 squad looks a shambles, hopefully there are some hidden gems somewhere!




A very comfortable start to the league season and if we want to win the opening stage we need to be taking a minimum of 16 points from this run, personally I would want to win all 6 games! Home games against Concepcion, Rangers & San Luis with away games against Everton, Nublense & Audax Italiano.

We started the season with an emphatic 4-0 win over Concepcion, Carvallo got the scoring underway in the 2nd minute then Pinto netted a brace with one either side of half time and Hernandez made it 4-0 late on, we were then frustrated by Everton and to be honest didn't deserve to win, Salazar got us head in the first half but we couldn't exactly argue when Everton leveled in the second half and we had to settle for a draw. We returned to winning ways comfortable with a 3-0 home win over Rangers, goals coming from Dantas, Carvallo & Hernandez, then followed San Luis who tend to do well against and again we struggled, I had to tweak things in the first half as we were being outplayed and it worked with strikes from Carvallo & Hernandez before the break enough to secure a win despite San Luis getting a goal back late in the second half. Game 5 was the Mirko Hernandez show as he bagged a fantastic hat trick to see off a determined Nublense securing us a 3-2 win, finally we saw off Audax with a 3-0 win thanks to goals from Olguin, Hernandez & Carvallo in the second half, although it took longer than i'd hoped to make the breakthrough we got it right eventually.




As expected we lead the way early on but it would be nice to have 18 points considering the level of opponent we've faced so far, Colo Colo sit just 2 points behind and are also unbeaten but it's too early for it to make any real difference.




It was tight between Carvallo & Hernandez who have both been in excellent form but I had to go for the former, not only has he found the net in 4 of his 6 appearances he has also created a goal in 5 of them! Despite playing on the right when he is naturally more of a central player he has been fantastic!




Hernandez struggled last season but seems to be back to his goal scoring best this season and already has 11 strikes to his name, he is also keeping the impressive Olguin sat on the bench so he is clearly doing something right.




The Cup 2nd round draw has been kind as we face the only lower division side left in Union San Felipe with the away leg up first, we then host Cobresal before a huge league game away to Colo Colo then another home tie with Santiago the visitors, finally we end with the Super Cup against rivals Colo Colo, a tricky month that's for sure especially with 2 games against Colo Colo, could be make or break already for us really.

Not had much time to play this lately so there hasn't been many updates. We were coasting in our cup games despite making a number of changes as goals from Alonso, Olguin & Cansina put us 3-0 up but complacency set in and we unbelievably let them back in conceding twice to reduce the margin to just the one goal! An own goal got us going at home to Cobresal and gave us a 1-0 lead at the break, our second half performance was unstoppable as strikes from Carvallo, Pinto & Olguin completed a 4-0 rout. A huge game to follow as we traveled to Colo Colo and we couldn't be separated, Olguin put us in front early on but they leveled midway through the first half and that's how it stayed, a fair reflection on an even game.We returned to winning ways with another 4-0 home win this time against Santiago despite missing our 2 strikers, Carvallo opened the scoring in the first half, stand in striker Leal got on the scoresheet along with a rare Galdames strike and a great moment for 18 year old midfielder Diego Gurreiro grabbing himself a late goal. We clinched the Super Cup with a lovely 2-0 win over Colo Colo, Lopez scored just before the break and Pinto wrapped the win up in the second half, this win cost us a few days later though as our tired side fell at the hands of my former employers, Sithole repaid his early mistake that allowed Rai to open the scoring by heading home an equaliser a few minutes later but a second half strike from another of my signings there Alexis Sepulveda consigned us to a defeat!



4 years in a row!




Our slip up at O'Higgins was softened massively by Colo Colo's shock home defeat at hands of Rangers! This means we remain top of the table by 2 points with 5 games to play, Catolica are still in the running too sitting just 3 points behind us.




Pinto isn't usually a regular in the side but he has progressed massively this season, the uncertainty around Alonso's future handed a chance to the Chilean and boy is he taking it putting in consistent performances and even finding the net every now and again.







The 2nd leg of our cup tie will see a stronger side fielded than I had hoped following our collapse in the first leg, we then host La Serena before a big game against Catolica again at home, the final game of the month sees us travel to Iquique.

4 wins from 4 this month, we secured progress to the Cup Quarter Final with a 2-1 win over San Felipe, an early brace from Alonso was enough for our patched up side to take victory despite a second half strike from the visitors. Back in to the league and as expected we saw off La Serena although it took longer than i'd have liked to get the opener, Olguin came off the bench to make the difference and then he setup Lopez to make it 2-0 just 7 minutes later. Our toughest game this month ended with the same scoreline as a first half Olguin strike and a second half penalty from Carvallo secured a 2-0 win over 3rd placed Catolica. We wrapped up a solid month with a 2-1 win that was more comfortable than the scoreline suggests, Carvallo netted in the first half and Hernandez came off the bench to make it 2-0 after 78 minutes, Iquique grabbed a late consolation to make it 2-1.




Col.o Colo lost their first game this month which made it back to back defeats for them and puts the title pretty much in our hands, with 2 games to go we realistically need just 1 point thanks to our massive goal difference so it's hard to see us failing to win the Opening Stage.




Cansina's consistency is an absolute dream, once again he's been in good form this month and at his creative best with 3 assists in 3 and a half games, he's a fantastic player to have in the squad.







We face Everton over two legs in the Quarter Final of the Cup, we will be without a number of players due to internationals for the second leg so we need to ensure a thorough job is done in the first leg at home. The final 2 league games are a tricky tie away to union Espanola and at home to 3rd placed Huachipato. We only need 1 point from these 2 games to win the title.

4 wins from 4 for the second month running, which you will be aware means we have won the Opening Stage for the second year in a row! We saw off Everton comfortably over 2 legs as second half goals from Dantas and Olguin secured a 2-0 win at home in the first leg and then we beat them 3-1 away with goals from Lopez, Alonso & Dominguez only answered to by a late consolation for the hosts, comfortable progress to the Semi Final where we will face Cobresal, Concepcion face Catolica in the other Semi Final so i'm hopeful we can get our hands on the trophy this year. We won the Opening Stage in style as we destroyed Espanola on their own turf, Alonso, Olguin & Carvallo put us 3-0 up by half time, Alonso added his second soon after the break and Salazar came off the bench to hit a brace late on and complete a 6-0 mauling! We completed the job professionally in our final game in front of our own fans with a 3-0 win over Huachipato, Salazar looked to have scored the only goal in the 13th minute but we added late strikes from Alonso & Lopez to create a real party atmosphere!




So we win the Opening Stage by 5 points from Colo Colo, not only that but we are also well on course to break our own record points tally from last season such is our dominance, 32 points required from the Closing Stage to do so.




Alonso has impressed this month and appears to be enjoying himself again after his issues before the season, he has flicked between central midfield and right wing this month and netted 4 goals along with an assist despite only playing 45 minutes in 2 of the 4 games this month.




At the halfway stage of the season Olguin & Hernandez are locked together in the battle for top scorer with 12 each, neither has really been able to get a great run of form together so they've very much split the playing time up front. Carvallo has been a creative force with 15 assists and also holds the highest average rating although Alonso has the most MotM awards.

Angelo Lopez comes in from San Lorenzo in Argentina with a view to him partnering Dantas and freeing up a foreign player to come in at left back as i'm not happy with Soto's performances, but I couldn't find any suiters! Lopez has fantastic ability for this level of the game and costs us a cut price £1m, his experience in Argentina should serve well in the Libertadores too.




Impressive stuff this month, 8 wins from 8 making it 16 wins in a row! we wrapped up a win in our first Closing Stage game against Concepcion inside 28 minutes with goals from Dantas & a brace from Olguin securing a 3-0 win, Mirko Hernandez then secured a narrow win over Cobresal in the Semi Final first leg. Returning to league action Hernandez blitzed Everton single handedly scoring all 4 in a 4-1 victory, we then hit 4 again in the second leg against Cobresal, Hernandez was fantastic again scoring a hat trick and Pinto grabbed a goal with us comfortably securing a place in the final. We continued our shrapness in front of goal with a thumping 6-0 win over Rangers, Carvallo netted a brace, Olguing with a hat trick and Hernandez netting his 9 goal in 4 games! Hernandez was on target again and Salazar grabbed the decisive goal as we lifted the cup with a 2-1 win over Catolica! Another comfortable win followed with a 2-0 win over Nublense, goals coming from Salazar and a first for the club for our new recruit Angelo Lopez, we ended the month with a 4-2 win over Audax Italiano thanks to strikes from Carvallo, Dantas & a brace from Renato Lopez.



My targets for the season are already complete with the confirmation of this treble, I was hoping to win the Cup and at least one of the league stages, now we have to aim for domination by winning the Closing Stage and still have the Libertadores to look forward to.




Colo Colo are in the slipstream of our frantic pace setting just 2 points behind, but the huge goal difference is worth a point already! Too early to get carried away though as we have had an easy fixture list for the start of the season, next month will have a big say in the title race.




It may come as a surprise that Hernandez doesn't get this despite netting 10 goals, Carvallo has also been superb having forced his way back in to the side, he has netted 3 of his own along with 6 assists in 8 games and has been in great form.




Hernandez is running away as top scorer with 22 to his name already, Carvallo has an insane 21 assists so far.this season, and he had a brief spell on the bench as well!




3 straight away games scheduled against San Luis, Cobresal & Santiago before a huge game at home to Colo Colo, the Libertadores Groups are due to start this month so there will be re-arranged fixtures as well.


Unfortunately this may be the end though, i'm thoroughly enjoying the success at La U but the game is processing so slowly now due to my pants laptop, it's struggling to even load up a staff search so I can't even search for replacements for the scouts that keep getting poached by Argentinian clubs!

Superb work to claim the cup back mate. Hopefully its not the end but I know the pains of a low laptop the further into a save you get.
