No. Their songs seem forced and it puts me off them.

How do you mean forced? Fair enough, they're not everyone's cup of tea, but their music has evolved massively and is a lot more accessible.

See, when they sound like they sound alright. But then they that whole look how crazy we are and how edgy our music is for indie cred thing and I can't take it seriously. When they go all shouty it sounds very fake to me, It doesn't feel like genuine emotion.
But that's obviously subjective so whatever.

I gave the Jake Bugg and alt-J albums a listen for the first time tonight. Both are very impressive.

I've got Jake Bugg tickets for next year, looking forward to that!

Just got a Reading Festival ticket. Never been to a festival but won't get too many chances to see Eminem these days.

Reading is a horrible corporate cess-pit inhabited mostly by fucking idiots.

You'll have a great time though if it's your first festival but then you'll probably go to more and realise how bad Reading is.

Hopefully there will be some decent bands as well and that will get me through.

I managed to get a Glastonbury ticket but am unsure as to whether I'm going to go. Not many of my friends managed to get some and I doubt I'll have £150 lying around come April when the rest of the fee is due. The friends I do know who are going always get drugged up for the entire weekend and that's really not my thing, so I don't want to spend four days in a field with people who don't know their own names.

Oh well, I'll decide closer to the time - just stick it in the laterbase (along with other issues such as figuring out how I'm going to pay back my student loan and figuring out what I'm going to do with my life).

I tried salvia once, never again.

It's funny. I didn't like it and most of my friends didn't like it either. Except one who loved it. Salvia isn't like other hallucinogens though. You don't feel safe on salvia at all and if you're tripping and you don't feel safe then it won't end well.

It's weird though. Salvia is perfectly legal. You could get 7 years for having LSD or Shrooms.

I had a really nice experience with it actually, it just scares me. That really powerful force which kind of drags you into the trip and then you just have no control over it at all.

Plus I witnessed my friend run into the middle of a motorway during a horribly bad trip that wasn't especially fun.

Well, no. It should be legal. But so should other stuff. The fact that salvia is legal is proof that most people don't give a fuck. If people wanted to do salvia, they would, but they don't. Take cocaine. People who want to do cocaine will do cocaine whether it's legal or not. I find it impossible to believe that someone would be tempted to do any drug bar maybe cannabis just because it's legal. It's not like it would all be sold in chemists. You'd still need to buy it from a dodgy Russian guy but this way you could make drug dealers register, pay taxes and make sure they aren't cutting drugs with ground up Finish tablets.

Yeah I agree, I just meant in the context of drugs which are already illegal that salvia is a stupid one to remain legal.
