Can't save an online carreer

Hey,

Last night I played an online carreer with a friend. I Joined his game, but now I can't save the carreer. How can I save it? Or isn't it possible, because i don't have to?

I'm looking forward to some answers

did he set up the game? if he set it up you cannot save it
