It's about f*cking time Alberto Cerri got called up and won his first Itallian cap.

So this is my first month for quite some time, and as it's July it's all about transfers. The team is large, strong (obviously) and we have a lot of great youngsters. So a lot of decisions who's to stay in the team and who will leave and who go out on loan.

Starting with the outs (so far):



Pretty sad about this. I really liked him, but he wasn't happy about only playing four games last season. Good move by Zenit.

And here are the rest of the players who won't be playing for us this season. A lot of talent here. And The Vay...

I really had no intention of bringing anybody in at all, but sometimes you just can't resist.



Found this one on a free, loaned him out to Ingolstadt so hopefully he can get some Bundesliga football during the season.



A back up keeper. No more, no less.



I don't know why Leverkusen let this one go for 110 K. But I don't mind. Will most likely be loaned out.

The Vay

I gave him a run out off the bench in the Cup Final last season which was a great send off. Crazy to think I am attached to a player who only actually had one good season here...

PS: Those youngsters you brought in look brilliant. We have such a good youth side now, looking forward to seeing how we look in five seasons or so.

It was definately time for him to leave the club, having spent two poor seasons on loan in France. Good luck Keleshi!

The story stays the same...

It didn't help that three defenders (Oesterhelweg, Jung and Müller) are away playing in the Olympics for Germany and two strikers, Haluk and Mohamed with Turkey and Egypt. Bayern only has three players away, strangely enough.

You did really well to get that much for him. He was good for us but Haluk and Cerri are so much better now.

Also, f*ck Bayern. Nobody cares about the Super Cup anyway.

Not the most impressive games we've played, but we're through to the next round.

I'm trying to sell Volland as well. He's on high wages and only has one year left.

I signed this guy from Dortmund. He might not look fantastic, but I hope he can develop under the guidance of Cerri. He is touted as the next Gerd Müller, that's not half bad.

I let Volland go the other way - saves us about 100K a week in wages. I think we might need it as we, like last year, look to fail the FFP.

Mohamed came of the bench in the 82 minute and scored the winner on his debute.

We should progress with ease.

'Martin Boden' doesn't sound very German, does he have a dual-nationality?

I don't know about that. Sounds like a perfectly fine German name to me. I think "Boden" might mean "the ground" or something like that in German. But my German isn't what it used to be...

Yeah, as German I can confirm that "Boden" means "ground" in German. The name only looks a little bit constructed, but the names of German regens always do that (for Germans). Often because of the case that in the name database there are some forenames that no one really uses in Germany anymore.

Back in the saddle and Hertha Berlin felt the full force of the young Dresden side. Jung was simply amazing. Many young options at the back for us.

Surma the magician was magnificent. Bossed the Champions League game.

Jung again solid at the back, he's been a great free signing.

Cerri's brace ensured we beat a tidy Wolfsburg side.

Sosa found his scoring shoes and has put us in a commanding position within the group.

Gauld and Cerri brace ensured we had an unbelievable time against Koln.

Lucky ... maybe. Surma was head and shoulders the classiest player on the pitch.

Stuck at it against a dominant Arsenal. Level on points at the half way mark.

Upset ... distraught ... any words along those lines. We had a chance, we had the chances ... we should have won. Sorry boys.

Through to the next round against a weak Furth side.

We are touching Bayern ... could this be our year?
