Just our second league win since I took charge as we beat Longford Town at the Bowl as goals from Adrian Forde and Darragh Kelly inside the opening twenty minutes was enough for the points in what was a much better performance from the lads.
And my second month has concluded with a third win in the First Division after I managed to guide the side to victory over Wexford (for the second time) as we won 4-2 at Ferrycarrig Park in a game that saw our centre back Barry Duffy have an eventful game as we not only scored an own goal but also got shown a straight red card after a reckless challenge.
A decent second half display at Waterford saw us come out with a 2-0 victory as a second half double from an Brian Butler own goal and Darragh Kelly saw us head home from the Regional Sports Centre with three points but a play-off spot still isn't guaranteed.
The race for the play-off's will go down to the final day, we done our job in beating Drogheda 2-0 but Shamrock Rovers also won while Cobh Ramblers (thankfully) drew at home to Waterford. I feel @Dan'll need to win his one and only league game to ensure a play-off spot.
Although it seems pointless (and perhaps is), the game is switching hands with just one league game remaining in the current season but I'm really hoping @Dan can extend the season for his sake. Like I said in the previous post, I feel we must win our last game as all three play-off chasers travel on the final day.
Final Day - 10 October 2036
U.C.D - Longford Town (A)
Shamrock Rovers - Shelbourne (A)
Cobh Ramblers - Drogheda United (A)
Battered Longford Town, a massive six one victory with Paul Reilly clearly wanting us to go up this season, netting four of our six goals.
We qualify for the playofs and will face Cobh Ramblers first in a two legged head to head tie, should we win this, we will head for another two legged game.
Not the best first leg, we trailed moments before the break yet equalised moments after the restart. We lost out two one though, all to do back at home.
Yes! A brilliant come back, another two goals from Paul Reilly was enough to see us through, we picked up a three one win at home which saw us through four three on aggregate.
Bring it on Bray Wanderers! Two games away from potential promotion!
We're halfway there! Travelling away for the first leg always makes things a bit easier. We beat Bray Wanderers two one with Reilly and Kelly netting for us! Lets finish them off!
Well that's the end of my stint and unfortunately @Dan I was unable to find a job that was suitable for us to progress in this save and that's unfortunate. I've also accidentaly played the game over my finish date but that's the curse of being unemployed, the game progresses faster. I've had two job interviews, one at Hamilton and the other at Hull but those were 'dead end' jobs so didn't even consider attending.
Now they're sixteenth in the Premier League and have quite a few foreign based players in the squad now the question needs to be asked @Dan, do we use them until the end of the current season before making wholesale changes in the summer? We're unable to delay it until the end of the season due to being unemployed.
Personally I'd say we use them until we can get rid. We won't be winning trophies with them so shouldn't be a problem, we can then have a big overhaul in the summer!
Yeeeah, couldn't have asked for a tougher first match as we lose 3-0 at home to Manchester United. Darren Ford, who complained about wanting first team football, decided to get sent off (as you f*cking do!) but yeah, this season is all about finishing as low as seventeenth and then next season we can try and build an British/Irish side.
Even though I only played two games since arriving at Tottenham but I'm uploading the game to @Dan who'll get to finish the campaign and start our quest of trying to get an entire squad of British and Irish based players. We are in fourteenth place but we've played two games more than third bottom West Brom.

Yeeeeeeah, I've no explanation. We got battered against a much superior opponent in Shamrock Rovers.

Oh for crying out loud, we couldn't capitalise on that Longford victory as Cobh Ramblers won 1-0 at Belfield Bowl.
Shedender
Played sh*te but at least we're through in the Senior Challenge Cup, beating Bluebell 2-0 at home. Adrian Forde with a brace.

John Groggin's seventh minute strike was enough to seal maximum points against a Shelbourne side who won the league despite losing.

Out of the Senior Challenge Cup, losing 3-0. Surprised? Neither am I, Dundalk are much more superior side.

PROMOTED!! We had an easy'ish' task really, we took the team over in second place and done enough!
We have now also resigned from UCD on the 1st November, onto the next job!
Dan
A potential return to Scotland and one of the big two, could be a real chance of ticking Scotland off over the next couple seasons.
Shedender
Sigh. Didn't even manage to get an interview and that's a damn shame.

F*ck!

Double f*ck. Who the f*ck is Jordan Cousins?
Shedender
And we've just had a third unsuccessful interview, we'll never get another job at this rate. Heading 2 years unemployed.

Out of the bottom three after a deserved 2-0 win away at Swansea thanks to a goal in either half.
