Our Champions League hopes are hanging by a thread after this play-off, first leg defeat at home to the French side Montpellier. We dominated the entire contest at New White Hart Lane but just couldn't find the net and now we must score in the return leg in France to have any chance of progressing.

Epic. We won an eight goal thriller at home to Hull. Fouad Bounou the hero with an excellent treble while Eoin Marshall and substitute Ian Gilbert were also on target but I was a little disappointed to have conceded the three times though but c'est le vie.

And we're through to the group stages of the Champions League after turning this play-off on it's head against the French side. Had a feeling we would've needed to strike early at Stade de La Mosson - Mondial 98 but I didn't anticipate Ian Gilbert striking in the third minute, a minute into the second half Jordan Richmond - on loan from Brighton in the Championship - made it two nil and that's how it finished.

When striker Ian Gilbert bags a first half hat trick and you also lead 3-1 at Goodison Park then you'd expect to return home with maximum points, right? Wrong. Everton fought back to earn a share of the spoils and I was frustrated.

September kicked off with a trip to Carrow Road and for the second time this season we came out on top in an eight goal thriller as both Ian Gilbert and Fouad Bounou hit braces while the other goal was an own goal as our unbeaten start to the league season continued.

A double from Ian Gilbert saw us beat Porto 2-0 in North London, he then picked up an injury and will the next three months iirc.

For the first time this season in the league we kept a clean sheet as Stuart Curran's second half goal was enough to beat rivals Chelsea at New White Hart Lane.

The final game of my current stint took us to Germany to take on Borussia Mönchengladbach, the game ended two apiece thanks to a last gasp goal from substitute Warren Wain - Stuart Curran had opened the scoring for Spurs on thirty one minutes.

And with my stint done and dusted it's been an excellent start to the league season as I send the game over to @Dan with us top of the table, unbeaten and two points clear of Chelsea after seven games. Of course I don't expect this start to last but we might as well enjoy it while it lasts.

So I finally got around to completing my stint, apologies its taken so long but I've had a busy old week. Anyway I'm changing my updates and will just wrap all three months up in one post to simplify it, mainly because there aren't comments or viewers flooding in anymore.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/l4JhHvSmQZHBi6PZ2YMsOzcUyreA7k47gyfEgkM2.png

My results throughout October really ruined @Shedender's superb start to the league season and this put us down to sixth after being top of the table. We lost three out of four of our Premier League games in October, drew our Champions League game and went out the Capital One Cup. No clean sweep of trophies this season, meaning at least another year in England. Form picked up massively from November losing just one of our eight games, winning seven and drawing one. We also beat PSG, Porto and drew to BMG to ensure Champions League qualification, top of the group.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wkhh3BhJByCUFVLgdzsSiWD10ufrdNgZ6VGvhhOj.png

As I said, we finished top of our Champions League group, shock was PSG going out in third place as BMG jumped them. We face Dortmund in the next round and we should really be heading through, especially our recent form.

We go into the New Year sitting up in second place, trailing Manchester City by just goal difference, their freescoring selves are twenty one goals clear of us. Liverpool sit second just a further two points behind with Arsenal three points off the top of the table in fourth.

It's a superb start to my stint as we've trashed Hull 3-0 at "The Circle" in a dominating display as a brace from Richard Burns helped us on our way to victory - Stuart Curran also scored.

And my first month has come to an end as the side had to come from behind to secure maximum points at Southampton and just our second league win this month. The hosts took the lead on twenty minutes but on the stroke of half time, Fouad Bounou levelled proceedings before Lee Bull's goal, seven minutes into the second half saw us get three points.

A late(ish) brace from substitute Ian Gilbert helped us to secure a deserved maximum points against a Stoke side who had previously taken the lead after only ten minutes. Stuart Curran had equalised shortly after the half hour before Gilbert's late double.

We then travelled to West Brom for back-to-back away games in the Premier League and despite dominating we needed a second half equaliser from Thomas Gregos to earn us a point after our shot stopper Gary Swift had scored an unfortunate own goal to give the Baggies the lead. Just couldn't take our chances.
