So another RTG is starting, and as you can all see the team of choice is Wimbledon,
I chose these guys because of the history of them, and what i remember of them growing up. And I'm not on about Beckham doing sullivan from the halfway line. I'm on about the smash mouth in your face style that use to irritate so many better teams into playing bad football.
So here we go with The Dons, and screenshots will be up after pre season, similar to last one, with manager profile, signings, affiliate clubs and squad profile, going to try keeping hold of the beast up front but surround him with the talent needed to take the first step out of League 2

as you will see from this i havent done the best job but trying stuff to help get the lads back up the table

this is the league table after 10 ten games after my saving issues lol.
it been pretty tough, four losses which i think is down to the formation im using, i think its a all or nothing kind of formation but you know i will make some tweaks to it, i think those losses were away from home, so maybe make a different formation with a couple more midfeilders for away games, so i am a bit more solid, but i will show the formation that im mainly using at the moment.
this is one of my players i signed on loan smashing it up in league two, hes a pacey player who i use as a poacher with a free role, and he likes to get goals, despite the fact of a 7 finishing stat

This is the profile of the young player of the month. His name is Tahvon Campbell, and has surprised me massively, as I use to be one of the people who used to look primarily at stats and not think how to fit him into a team.
This guy is insane in League 2, he's quick which allows chances in a lower league by itself, but the potential on the 18 year old lad is amazing, and I will be going to West Brom to see if i can purchase him full time because i am very interested to see what kind of career this kid can have, and will he be good enough to player higher league football. This are all awnsers I hope to be getting soon
This is my left back, Luke Leahy, I signed him from falkirk for 160k after wangling my transfer budget around to sign him. He has 7 assists so far, so a marauding left back he is. Another surprise for me, as I didnt know much about him, and sort of signed him blind. And luckily he worked out so well, Hopefully I can keep hold of him and a few others who have been tearing it up for me.
This is my replacement for the beast that is Akenfenwa, I sold akinfenwa because he didnt want a new contract, and I couldnt afford more than 2k a week for a big star, so sold him on and replaced him with Rueben Reed from Plymouth as he was the same kind of player who is the vocal point in how I play with the formation I'm using. I like his ability to score goals, which is massively important for a team that is trying to exceed expectations in league 2. I got asked to make mid-table, but I think aiming for the play-offs is a better idea.
As you can see, in my race for the play-offs the results have been mixed, mansfield taught me a lesson, and I think that was down to me not being a bit more defensive when I went to play at their place. But like i said earlier I need to think about how to be more solid away from home.
as you can see, my upcoming games, are not simple, with some good teams there. like the ever present Portsmouth and the recently relegeated Yeovil Town, and the return of mansfield.
This is the formation I am using most, its very attacking with a lot of pressure put on the two poachers and full backs. There are gaps that i need to fill when attacking but not sure how to do that, so i will play with it a bit in my next few games and see if it works
These are the team instructions i have been using, and if people want to give some advice on how to maybe improve this then feel free.

this was how i was doing after another 11 games into the season, it was hard work and sometimes the formation i was using was defensively weak, which probably left to it being so close towards the end of the season, but as you will see in a second, it all came good in the end.
as you can see, winning the league with a team that arent supposed to make the playoffs makes you pretty damn important to a board, and im happy that in the season there were not too many players that had problems, i kept the fans onside which means the board are happy, im going to be re thinking my strategy when it comes to league one, i dont think playing the same formation is going to work against a better class of team
The fans loved that a team that had only just made into league 2 getting promoted was big for them but winning it, well that was the icing.
even the legends came out and offered me support.
my team of the season. i was fortunate to work with a bunch of lads that made it possible.
And the season review. I'm proud of my acheivements, but there was a job offer for me at the end of the season, and they were unlucky not to go up from league 1 last season, and they have been a club on the rise for a few years. But when I took over them they have been poor in the season, and the don's have waltzed off up the league. but hey a challenge is what i thrive on. so here we go, next step on my road to glory.
