I found Athlone occupying 2nd place after 12 games played. Gave me a headstart ( and mayby a little cheat??) to reach my objective of winning the First division.
June Games:
The first 2 games of the month were still without me. I got my first game away against SD Galway.
My first game ended with a 2-2 draw. Not bad i think not having got the time to watch all players perform in friendlies.
Second game was against Limerick, currently standing on the first spot in the league. We kept the game closed down and managed even to score on a counter 5 mins before full time. 4/6 excellent start.
kennyder
And if you don't lose, you make a good shot at the title. I took me till last matchday to secure the title but I did it.
Even managed to grab Manager of the month twice during that time.
For the Senior Challenge cup I kicked out some Premier league teams on the way to the final where I had to face First div team Longford.
The result:
Now I hope to maintain my squad for next season to see if we can stay at highest level and give a shot at that titel within 2 years.

First job was to try and maintain the sqaud who won the First Division title last year. I managed well, only lost 2 of my best players. Only 2 incoming tranfers needed because some players did well in the reserves last year and got promoted to 1st team:
Feeney, Gaynor and Morris.
Pulled Bermingham away from Longford, last years topscorer in the First division and Berrigan on free after scouting him last year.
The draw for the All-Ireland Cup gave us a nice fixture against Premier division champions Shamrock Rovers.
Had some friendlies against 1D teams and came out good not losing them. The only loss came in the home game against Ceske, a first division team from Czech.
All seems to be fine to start the season in a new league with this pre-season.

After a good start in the new league we had a serious bad streak in our games. With a few 1st team players injured i needed too call some of my youngsters in, We prepared to face a tough relegation battle, but my youngsters wouldn't let them led to slaughter without a decent fight.
One by one my youngsters proved me wrong. With a superb streak we managed to end on a 5th place in the league.
They even helped me to get my second Senior Challenge Cup win and my first Irish league cup!!
After all of this my youngsters earned a contract for next year's 1st team adn eventually the board followed by giving me an extension of my contract at the club.
Only the premier division title to win In Ireland! Hope to achieve that one next season.

Feeling a bit lucky here. Average age of my first team was 21! If they keep performing like this the team wil conquer lot of titles even when i'm leaving this club to proceed my challenge
Just one more to go with this team, Munster Senior cup is a bit harder to get caus of few playable teams in it
BOWC
It is pretty pissing that there are only 3 playable teams and all those teams don't sack their manager all that often.. The manager at Cork has been there for 7-8 years in mine despite bad results and Limerick's manager isn't too far behind that
But good work! How much did you change from the original team!
kennyder
This is the team I have at beginning of season 3:
I still have 12-13 players in 1st from the original team at the moment i took over.

and so it was on last matchday we had equal piont with Shamrock(70) but they had a better goaldifference than me, so i needed to win my game and hope for atmost a drawn in the game between Shamrock and Shelbourne.
last matchday results:
YES, we did it. Managed to win the title.
Another title to tick off in Ireland. For now I've done them all but the hard to get Munster cup. Will be coming back later to finish that one off.
After 3 years it's hard to leave a team i've been building over those years but I need to head back to the job market to continue my way for the challenge.
Stayed tuned

Applied at Dag&red; in the blue square premier finding them at a 9th spot in the league.
A promotion playoff is still possible after 28 matchdays
not changing much for now at the 1st team. may grab a goalkeeper at january transfer period due to long term injury of mine and not having a decent backup.
My first game was a away match against Sutton utd where we won by 1 goal difference.
Had a good first season here at dag&Red; ending in a 3rd spot giving a playoff ticket.
Started the playoff with a away game at Gateshead. A 1-1 draw kept my chances for a playoff final real.
The second leg we hadn't much trouble and won with 3-1.
A final against York would decide which team will be paying a division higher next season. I knew it woudl be a tough game because in competition I didn't won points against them.
After 90 mins I was a step closer to promotion. I felt this could be a good moment to push forward for the next 30min.
Clearly my side was a bit fresher in extra time and managed to score 2 more goals.
Promotion is a fact!
Gave my keyplayers a contract extension for next season and already looking to bring in a extra striker and central defender.
budgets for next season seems very nice.. but i think its a little bug.

Had some big defeats at the beginning of the season that forced me to play a more defensive tactic. Goals against started to drop but with lots of draws I was still playing at the very bottom of the league.
Made a loan offer for Will Hoskins to improve my attack a bit. It wasn't very attractive football we were playing but atleast we started to win matches.
At the end of the season we even saw playoff spots coming in sight.. but I was already happy i managed to avoid relegation this season.
The big suprise came from Ireland where Athlone relegated from premier division.. what happened there?
Thought I left them with a good basis to do well for some years
Well off to a next club. I decided to resign from dag & red so some lower league clubs could afford me and with that bug it was a bit like cheating with that team
kennyder
The club had a distracious season and ended up relegation to blue square bet north/south.
With no transfer budget and a team in financial problems this is a real challenge to build a strong enough team and get them promoted as quickly as possible
As you see 1st team isn't that big, even going to lose powell(can't afford new contract) and Lynch ( doesn't want new contract). Hope for some free bargains on the transfer window
Stephenson has been moved to reserves due not finding a new club for him.
A very hard season brought us just above relegations.
kennyder
A big bet it is but at the end once again my youngsters proved to be superb in the lowest league.
Clinched promotion this year thru playoffs
Dan
kennyder
McCrathy we got on a free and only paid 6k for Danny Holland.
Pre season started with 3 defeats and 2 wins.
The remainder of the season was with ups and downs. There was the big 1-5 defeat against Exeter but on the other side
we reached the FA Trophy final.
In that final we are drawn against Accrington. The competion home game against them ended with a 1-0 victory for me so
I have good hopes to grab another title this year
AND we are still in the running for promotion aswell at this time 5 more games to go till the end and occupying a 7th place
only 2 points behind a playoff spot.
Dan
kennyder
With a 4-1 win on neutral ground we could lift our first trophy of the season!
Now it was all focus on the remaining games to grab promotion aswell.
wins in a row gave me enough points to compete in promotion playoffs were I was to meet Stockport in the semi-final
Southport - stockport 2-1
Stockport - Southport 0-2
Yet another final were i can find Accrington as my oppenent. After winning already 3 times this season against them I got an good eye on it to make that number wins raise to 4 times.
Southport secured promotion for the second year and can be watched in the Npower league 2 next season.
Already sold a few players from 1st and 2nd who didn't fit in my plans anymore. With the transferfunds received from them I might make a bid on the 2 loanies i got this season;
Staye tuned.
