Ending on a high.
Won the league by 7 points in the end.
DNZY
Surprising to see that Brendon Rodrigues got the fans' approval, although I agree he had a superb season overall. What a season for the Greek duo Doukakis and Koutromanos, bagging 28 goals between them. Credit also goes to right winger, Oscar Lozano, breaking his way into the first team and assisting 14 times too.
DNZY
Closing out May with a few awards.
DNZY
Ransacked awards night, both for individuals, team and management.
Doukakis had an outstanding season, recognised with the Player of the Year plus the U19 Player of the Year awards.
Brendon Rodrigues, also on the same wavelength, scooped the Young Player of the Season.
A stalwart defensive core allowed Mixirica to take Golden Glove for an amazing 16 clean sheets in 27 league matches.
Doriva, Raimundo and Miladin among the others to feature in team of the year, which is odd since I usually played Raimundo as a right back.
And the manager...?
Was it ever in doubt?
DNZY
Oh, what a bloody surprise. Have to go through my umpteenth takeover.
DNZY
Thankfully resolved without further complications. Bit of a nest egg in there too, wiping our bad debt.
Paving the way for Doukakis to rejoin us on loan for another year.
DNZY
Blessed with the easiest team in the draw, Sammarinese team Faetano.
DNZY
Our team were dead with fatigue, playing with 60% condition, and still ran circles around them.
DNZY
Largely rotated team playing contain and take a breather. Not really bothered about the result.
Forgot to take the screenshot but we now face one of my former clubs Flora Tallinn in the next round.
DNZY
A warm reception greeted me in Estonia as we smashed and grabbed an away goal victory to take back to Gibraltar. Mixirica played well in front of the posts, but Flora were firing from ridiculous ranges to even count them as shots on goal.
DNZY
A momentous achievement as Jefferson sinks Flora to book a place in the next round. We're in the record books as being the first Gibraltarian side to make it past the second qualifying phase of the Champions League.
Israeli side Maccabi Tel-Aviv will be a huge test.

Despite Mixirica saving a penalty, Maccabi were too strong for us. Tough is the appropriate word as we'll need two goals minimum in Israel.
DNZY
Out, but not disgraced as we threw the kitchen sink at them. Came close on a number of occasions but the door stayed upright.
One last stab at European qualification. Although Rayo Vallecano aren't the best Spanish side in reality, they've a player worth £15m. Putting that in perspective, our top valued player is worth £50k.
DNZY
600 kilometers north to Madrid and we were desperately unfortunate. Took a gamble when we got the goal back to switch to an attacking style of play for a second away goal, but got nabbed late on. A glimmer, just a glimmer of hope for the return leg.
DNZY
Red card killed the game, shattering our European prospects. That said it's an impressive feat for a Gibraltarian team to get this far.
Also decided to invest the prize money to new gadgets and gizmos for the youth.
DNZY
One final game to close another chapter in my career.
DNZY
Penultimate game of my Lincoln career ended in success as a brace from Romário brought the Pepe Reyes cup back to our trophy cabinet.
Where to next?
DNZY
One way ticket to Lithuania.

Good luck at Atlantas @DNZY, still thoroughly enjoying this career pal. KIU.
DNZY
@Shedender What? Go back and secure the Gibraltar Rock Cup? I've more important things to do! Thanks for the feedback!
__________________________________________________________________
The squad I've inherited isn't too bad...lots of unpronounceable names.
Shedender
True. You still have unfinished business at Portadown - ya know, not getting sacked after about an hour in charge.
DNZY
Those proddies up to no good as usual!

Recruited a few new faces to the club.
Rokas Stonkus - free transfer from Zalgiris Kaunas
Probably the coolest name I've seen for a while, shame his stats don't match. Certainly no Doukakis, but this deal had been completed before I had arrived. Saving grace really is his pace and the fact we don't have many good left sided wingers.
Jakub Jacek - season-long loan from Legia Warsaw
Promising, young, strong stand-in defender from Poland. Heading, marking and tackling all on par, mentally prudent and physically sufficient. Wouldn't mind him throwing his weight around the field.
Marko Petrovic - free transfer from Zalgiris
Upgrading in our goalkeeper department with a controversial signing from our rivals. Could potentially blossom into a quality 'keeper. Lad was on an amateur deal also so made sense to have him signed, sealed and hopefully can deliver.
Alexandr Suslov - £22k, rising to £25.5k from Zenit St. Petersburg
Delved into the Russian market with my scouts recommending this midfielder. Not mindblowing, but does have first team experience with Zenit's main team and Zenit-2 team and will surely improve under me. Bargain too at under 30 grand.
José Ramón Venegas - free transfer from Sanse
Not my first choice but a handy backup striker to close games out. Composure must be improved, but his recent form suggests that this guy may have something to offer.
DNZY
Easing ourselves in gently, however a draw could have been avoided. Fairly even match though.
DNZY
I can already sense Evgeny Zakharov will be our important factor this season, him and Suslov link up extremely well.
DNZY
Pitch here was in an absolute state, fluffed a lot of chances to take the lead.
DNZY
Vexed. Absolutely vexed.
Adding insult to injury. Quite literally.
DNZY
Played with great vigour and spirit without Zakharov. Venegas finally opened his account among others.
DNZY
First of two games against Zalgiris within four days in the Lithuanian Cup semi final. Two legs are played in the semis with advantage going to us for the return fixture, thanks to a thunderbastard from Edgaras Grigatis.
