Standard Logos Megapack

Installation Instructions

Step 1) Where to put Football Manager Graphics

Once you've downloaded a Football Manager Graphic Pack and extracted it you should be left with a single folder on your computer. You're going to need to move that folder into a special location where Football Manager can find it.

Apple: Where to put the FM Graphic Packs on Mac

You will need to copy the folder to this location:

/Users/<yourname>/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2022/graphics

You may find it difficult to find this exact location, to make it easier, use the following instructions:

a) Open Finder

b) Click “Go” from the menubar and select “Go to Folder” (alternatively press Shift+CMD+G)

c) Copy in the following: ~/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/

d) Open the “Football Manager 2022” folder

e) Open the “graphics” folder (or created it if it doesn't exist)

f) Move the downloaded files into the ”graphics" folder

Windows: Where to put the FM Graphic Packs on Windows

Simply move the folder to the following location:

Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2022/graphics

What if I don't have a graphics folder?

If you don't have a “graphics” folder simply create it 🙂

What if the downloaded files ends with .zip, .rar, .7z

If you have a file that ends in .zip, .rar or .7z then you'll need to extract the files before installing them. These files are called “archives” and are a way to compress a folder into a single file for downloading but you'll need to open them and get the folder that's in them before installing. DO NOT put these files in your graphics folder, it won't work.

Extract the files first and then put the extracted files into your graphics folder. If you're not sure how to extract them, look at these guides for windows or for mac.

What if the downloaded files are in parts e.g. “part01.rar”, “part02.rar” etc

If you have downloaded a pack in multiple parts ending in “part01.rar”, “part02.rar” etc then you do not have to extract them all individually. Just extract “part01.rar” and the rest should all be extracted automatically.

Step 2) How to refresh graphics in Football Manager

Unfortunately even though you have the folder in the right place Football Manager won't automatically pick up the new files. You're going to have to go in and tell Football Manager to reload your graphics.

Simply follow these instructions:

a) Open Football Manager

b) Click Preferences on the start screen (or if you're already in a game FM Logo > Preferences)

c) Click the “Advanced” tab

d) On the right hand side select “interface”

e) Scroll down the Skin Heading

f) Uncheck “Use caching to decrease page loading times”

g) Tick “Reload skin when confirming changes to preferences”

h) Click “Reload Skin”

And now your graphics should be appearing.

You should go back into the preferences and follow the same steps but this time tick “Use caching to decrease page loading times”, this will help with the long term performance of the game, but needed to be unticked to install these graphics.

European countries first, but there's a lot to do with Turkey and Italy.

Finally i've uploaded Italy - so Europe is complete. This pack includes over 2800 logos (all logos from level 1-5 and many others). I guess there are 10000 Italian clubs (incl. extinct) in the DB, so it's nearly impossible to do all of them. Maybe i find some time to add some missing logos for a future pack.

you need to rethink their packages, more than half of logos are not correct, and you do not even pay attention to it, I mean an incorrect size in the game

I think it depends on which skin you use. As i started my standard logo project, i used an action file, that automatically created 180x180 files. Now i'm using the original file, so that there is no space around the logos and logos wider than 180 px are allowed. All the logos made with the old action file could be cut again, but these are thousands of logos and normally they are shown in correct size in the game (depending on which skin you use).

Open Photoshop and see the logo itself, the skin is not to blame

180 pixels is to be logo size, not pictures

I'm not sure what the problem is. Its not necessarily incorrect to use square image files even if SI does not use them. If there is a downside to the square images, I think it is that it forces wide logos to a smaller size than they would have to be (if the skin uses height to scale the logos).

What it comes to empty space around the logos within the images, my opinion is that its good to leave some. At least on my computer, and while using the default skin, "cutting" will happen on some screens without the extra space.

If one uses high resolution monitor, 180px is way too small. The logos will be streched beyond their actual size and look awful. Naturally this depends on the skin as well.

@ducc: good explanation
logo with 119x180 in game: http://s21.postimg.org/3o2e6onw7/119x180.png
logo with 180x180 in game: http://s11.postimg.org/ctm55m3wz/180x180.png

It nearly looks the same, height should be 180, but width can be less or more than 180.

I redid all mine last off season and it took weeks and not everyone notices so you can get away with it - one guy pointed out the wide logos and their preceived 'problem' getting displayed properly and although you really hardly notice it, it annoyed me to the point of remaking all of them..wish i'd never seen it tbh

Making logos with their height as the sole size defining factor is something to contemple. Especially the competition logos are often very wide because of the sponsor names etc. 180 pixels is too small for high resolutions though. Maybe SI will at some point introduce a new "standard" with larger sized normal logos or separate bigger logos. The @2x logos appeared a couple of game versions ago to cater to higher resolutions (I'm surprised that many logopack makers have not included them in their packs).

Here is an example of what things look like at 3840 x 2160 resolution with 175% in-game zoom and default skin that has been modified to show normal logos in larger size on the game's club details screen. 300 x 300px vs 180 x 180px normal logos and @2x logos vs small logos.
