The Gary Speed Tribute Challenge:

A tribute to a Welshman with a vision. Gary Speed a true cult hero for many, a legend for some, one to be remembered for all. As a salute to Gary Speed's dedication to the welsh national team I've devised a challenge for people to try to emulate and surpass Gary's vision. Bring Glory to Wales, start with the foundations, a solid youth team. So, I thought that I'd make a spin off from the San Marino Challenge. This one requires a little less dedication, since Swansea are already in the Prem, and Cardiff are in the Championship. However, The main aspect to this Challenge is to harvest young welsh talent and turn the national side into a contender. Now, Let's all think for a moment about the Barca team, That is a perfect example of home grown talent. Emulate that and bring pride to Wales!

We've taken many suggestions from last season and the main one seems to be managers wanting to add the Welsh Premier league into the fold. We are very keen to do this and it is in the works - so if you want to manger Bangor City or TNS go ahead and post on here as part of the challenge and we will eventually add your points onto the chart.

Good challenge. I'm making a Welsh expansion, If the Welsh league can earn you points then I'm intrested in giving it a go when I finish the file.

Would be good to see the WPL points as i am tempted to run this alongside the current challenge I'm doing however may just post screenshots here rather than a thread.

Any set reputation or just whatever I want?
Start unemployed or at a club?

Auto rep. You can start as a manager of any club, but will only get points for either Welsh based clubs or Welsh clubs in the English League system. Take a look through the links I posted that will direct you to fm-base and many of those answers will be in there.

For the WPL the points are:

WPL win 10
Welsh Cup 5
Qualify for Group 15

The other cups all remain the same (European competition) as the English based clubs.

Ah shit, your rep has to be auto? I started with Sunday League, does that matter?

Nawh, it doesn't matter! Sunday league gives you a potential disadvantage so it'll just make it harder for you

After coming so so close with the Pentagon Challenge, I think it's only natural that I feel I take this challenge up. New laptop has arrived and once I have set it up then I will probably start this challenge.
