Downloading Kits

Hello there,

I am having trouble download most of the kits for the 16/17 season. I have WINRAR downloaded but when I go to download a kit it will not let me open the file with WINRAR.

Anyone able to help?

Hi @Celtic1984 Are you having trouble downloading or opening the file, it's not clear?

I assume the process is:

Step 1) View file on Browser
Step 2) Click download and save file to a folder on your computer
Step 3) Open file with Winrar

Which step are you having issues with? And what error are you getting? Unfortunately there is next to nothing I can do without more information or an error message.

Thanks for coming back to me. Hopefully you can assist me

When I go to download say for example the English premiership kits for 16/17 - the file downloads, but I cannot open with WinRAR. I have WinRAR installed, the browser that I am using is Firefox.

1. I click on download then it shows a picture of my C drive and asks me to save it. There is no option to open that file with WinRAR in order to transfer the kits to the appropriate folder
2. The logo and facepack files for 16/17 are working fine, when I download them I can open them with WinRAR, just appears to be the kits for 16/17 that's causing an issue.
3. I tried downloading the Austrian Mitteleague kits 16/17 and I was able to open that with WinRAR immediately
4. Usually when I download anything I can open it with WinRAR straight away and transfer the file into my graphic pack.
5. I had an issue with the German real names 16/17 too, but one of the guys sent me a new link to download the file and I was able to open with WinRAR and transfer that to the correct folder.

I am actually at work at the moment, so unable to take screenshots of the message that I am getting. I can send you the image later on today.

Just as a alternative, should I save for example the English Premiership kits 16/17 onto my desktop and then right click and open with WinRAR?
Not sure if that would work.

I have been using this site for years to download files and never had any issue downloading files until now. I have the latest WinRAR version downloaded and my browser is up to date

I'll be honest I didn't realise winrar had an option to open straight away and not save to your folder. I'll look into it I have an idea what it might be

Problem sorted, yeah I've worked out how to save the file and open it with WinRAR. As I said usually I can open the file immediately after downloading it with WinRAR, but I was having to save the file, then open the file using WinRAR.

Actually this may have been related to a different bug and should now work with winrar again

Yeah you may be right, but yeah I am able to download all the 16/17 kits now.

Just out of curiosity the logo pack for the new game, is that just similar to the logo pack for FM 2016?

I wouldn't imagine there would be a great deal of difference between them both?

We release regular update packs, if you've download the megapack before just click "changes" and it will list what changes files you have and haven't already downloaded.

When will the FM2017 database be up and running?

I was going to create a few facepacks for new youngsters who will be appearing in FM for the first time, for example Alexander Isak of AIK Solna. He's only 16 but I've heard he's a wonderkid in this game.

I can't give a date unfortunately, next week or two it's not an easy task

Yeah no worries at all, I could imagine it would be hard task. I'm sure you guys will do an excellent job on the database.
