Managing: Cardiff Met Uni FC
__________________________________________________________________________
After a turbulent career of 18 trophies in 6 different countries in FM16; the man behind the glasses, David Nealon, has decided to educate himself (quite literally) by taking time out before his next adventure to sign a short term deal with Welsh Premier League debutants, Cardiff Metropolitan University. Formerly once known as UWIC Inter Cardiff, the club were condemned to non league football after their relegation from the League of Wales in 2001. After that, they've struggled to make ground and were down as low as the Welsh Football League Division Three (fourth tier) in 2010. Luckily, their luck turned in 2012 when the club formed as Cardiff Metropolitan University F.C. and their rise began, with three promotions in four years to get them into the Welsh Premier once more.
David Nealon applied and got the job following a positive interview.
The squad inherited needs....a lot of improvement...
All amateurs.
This is only a short term save, just to break the game in. Hopefully we don't get tonked too often.

Cymro
Know the league well, I'll be venturing in with my hometown club at some point.
DNZY
@Cymro, as do I, have a soft spot for Llandudno since FM14.
Shedender
Grimnir
Best of luck with this!
DNZY
A quite unexpected debut victory for our boys in theWord Cup! Fast learners to my system..
DNZY
A bittersweet moment as we sent the seasiders back to the beach on the opening day. Debutant Troy Greening already up and running.
DNZY
Very credible draw against one of the stronger Welsh sides.
THE FANS REACTION:
Seemed to be love for new signing Damase Kiwanda, however I'd agree more with Will Graham's opinion, he didn't set the match alight when he came off the bench.
DNZY
Resting a few key players proved a risk worth taking, though we left it late to salvage a winner against a plucky Penycae side. Third round here we come.
THE FANS REACTION:
Our three fans looked to have been pleased...or sarcastic...
DNZY
A sloppy first half made up by a rampant second half. Jenkins scored late on which is no less than we deserved.
FANS REACTION:
Glenn is not sitting on the fence is he?
DNZY
Offered little or nothing to a far superior Bala side to bring our unbeaten form to a grinding halt.
Our top 'keeper got carried off after 21 minutes and allowed Will Fuller to make his goalkeeping debut...and, well...
That happened. Poor lad.
FANS REACTION:
Certainly got the fans talking. Isabella needs to stop taking legal highs. Zac got it spot on about Woolridge.
DNZY
Carmarthen were never really in this, other than a smash and grab opener, but firmly knocked them off their perch.
FANS REACTION:
Feeling the love already.
DNZY
Dumped out of theWord Cup, but not disgraced by the scoreline. Two goal margin was kind, but Fuller did extremely well along with most of our defense.
FANS REACTION:
I say most as left back Gareth Emanuel had a 'mare, John Lever not holding back in the slightest.
DNZY
Agonizingly close to gaining back to back victories but Craig Williams punished us with ten minutes left. Feels more like a defeat.
FANS REACTION:
Barry Griffiths knows whats up. Think they're getting a bit carried away in the reaction though.
DNZY
Rhyl hadn't scored in nearly 9 hours of football before today. How convenient that they hit us with a classic counter attack to win the game. Worst performance of the season so far.
FANS REACTION:
I feel their frustration, we deserve the stern responses.
LEAGUE STANDINGS
Cushioned nicely in mid-table, with more points than I'd anticipated at this stage. Too early to be thinking about anything other than escaping relegation.
DNZY
Non league opposition in Guilsfield in the Third Round of the Welsh Cup.
DNZY
Free kick blocked by the wall, but the follow up shot was a belter Jordan Barrow in an otherwise dismal match. Red card for ap Dafydd negated our chances of a result.
Jake Smolka sounds like a miserable b*stard. Glass half empty with the fans.
DNZY
Looked a lot more alert at home to Gap Connah's Quay, should have been more than two for us. Still looking for our first clean sheet though as we switched off in the dying embers.
I struggle to imagine Jorge is a Welsh citizen or has been to a game. #bandwagoner
DNZY
An unfortunate own goal after 49 seconds was the difference, almost putting TNS to the sword on a few counters but all in all they were too strong for us.
Harry Owen had a poor game of a 6.0 rating and got a little bit of stick. Woolridge I don't think deserved much criticism apart from that o.g. early on.
DNZY
Llandudno fans must be absolutely livid, should have put the game to bed long before the equaliser. The last fifteen minutes is where we finally woke up and could have easily turned the game around. Generous point but we're definitely the happier set of fans.
Rob Hooper thinks we're Manchester United. #NealonTime trending on Twitter.
DNZY
A thrilling game that we didn't deserve to lose. The first goal conceded after 30 odd seconds was pretty much the defying factor.
The fans are feeling the pain. Ryan Waddilove seems to have a vendetta against Bangor City for some apparent reason.
Going into November, our heads are still above water but the dip in form needs to be resolved sooner rather than later.
DNZY
A real confidence booster as Guilsfield were smashed for five in the Welsh Cup. Giles with two, Corsby, Owen plus reserve player Dan Spencer scoring off the bench.
Highlights include Giles, Spencer, plus how possession football was the key to victory.
Another home tie, this time premier league opposition in Airbus UK.
DNZY
Thought we'd suffer the same fate as the Bangor City match, on the contrary we were on the winning side and ending our win drought. Harry Owen back to scoring ways, putting in a clinical shift by sealing a hat-trick.
Fair to say a lot of people enjoyed his performance too, except Lily likes to play it down. Lot of fans keeping the faith in our abilities to stay up.

Showed little resistance to be pumped by Bala once again. Adam Orme is a b*stard.
Causing a bit of a stir on the social medias. No clean sheet so far this season, I'm sure they're hardly surprised.
DNZY
It may have taken us fifteen league games, but we FINALLY keep a clean sheet! Bit of tactical brilliance at half time by exploiting the middle instead of the flanks paid dividends, with another stellar performance by Harry Owen.
Why are so many of our fans called Gareth?
DNZY
I'm a bumbling idiot! Leading comfortably 2-0 and had three players on yellow cards, left it too late to take ap Dafydd off. His red card completely shifted the balance of play, losing our lead and losing two points in the process. We may regret that come the end of the season.
Lot of anguish on the feed, can't blame them. Hold my hands up for that.
Could have gone fifth going into December, but with Llandudno winning and Airbus UK drawing, we have to accept 7th for now. Concerned that a gap will emerge when the top half split comes into effect later on. Six points above the drop is still too close for comfort.
November was certainly a month to remember for Harry Owen, 6 goals in 5 games and 13 for the season. Definitely a gem.
DNZY
Disappointing result against the bottom side, slack defending from a corner gave them the equaliser after they were completely under the cosh.
Adie Jenkins is the only one speaking sense, others are overestimating the result.
