Here I am starting a career thread with my beloved Newcastle United. I have really taken inspiration from Dodds’ Newcastle United career, to start my very own one. I will be aiming to take Newcastle to the top of the footballing world, but I do understand that I will need to be patient and persevere to continue this challenge as I always seem to play steadily but never exceptionally well or bad.

We managed to win 2 games this month, draw one and lose one. We also signed 24-year old Anderson on loan from Manchester United for a year to add some depth into our midfield.
Pre-season wasn't the best but wasn't the worst. We had a good game against our reserves where I just told them to enjoy it and they did, just couldn't manage to find the net in a game that we did completely dominate, which we should to be fair against our reserves team.
The win against Bury was a good one again as we didn't have a full strength team out, we had youngsters Gael Bigirimana, Haris Vuckic, Shane Ferguson and Nile Ranger all playing.
We fielded a full strength team against the following two sides where we failed to win but we did put in a very good effort against them both, the main thing is that we can definitely take away some positives.

A very good start to my managerial career at Newcastle. Currently sitting 4th in the Barclays Premier League after 2 games, next game is against Arsenal though which I am sure is where the fun will start.
We managed to win by 3 goals to nil at home on the opening day of the season, it cannot get much better than that, especially when Hatem Ben Arfa, Demba Ba and Papiss Cisse all manage to grab a goal. In the other saves I have had I have always found it hard to get both Demba Ba and Cisse to have good form and scoring together so hopefully we can keep this going.
In the away game against AEL, I fielded a completely different side to the game against Southampton, Nile Ranger managed to get on the scoresheet in the process as well.
We managed a 3-2 win away from home against Norwich and that was fully deserved. We went 1-0 up and they managed to claw it back to 1-1 before going 2-1 up, very very fortunately though they got a man sent off and then it was complete domination from us, with Cisse grabbing a winner in the 80th minute.
Again in the match against AEL I fielded a completely different line-up to what I did in the previous Premier League fixture and it ended up being a good decision, with Mike Williamson getting his first goal for the club and Xisco grabbing his first goal in his first appearance this season, and most probably his last.
After beating AEL I was drawn into Group A of the Europa League against CSKA Moscow, SK Rapid Wien & Club Brugge.

I set it as International Footballer as like you say it makes it a bit easier to get the players on your side. I have sold Perch to Norwich for £2.8million and Rob Elliot to Watford for £130k, other than that just mostly youngsters on loan to different clubs. I tried to sign Wellington Nem at the start of the game after reading through your career thread but the game couldn't find him... even though I have a large database loaded... Don't fully understand why but I just got on with the game, great recommendation though, had him on another save with Arsenal

You could have easily got around £5m for Perch on the 3 starts I made early on I always got that for him, I got rid of Xisco for like £2.5m. You can also get like £10m+ for Jonas, seen as though you can't get Wellington Nem I'd advise Adryan, he's also amazing.
Also I wouldn't loan many youngsters out like Streete, Vuckic, Abeid, Meile and Campbell you should try and involve them a load from the start as they can become leading players in the Premier League... Abied and Miele put on heavy DLP in training can become amazing, Campbell heavy poacher training and Vuckic on trequstria. Also try and tutor them on the field with the likes of Demba, Cisse, Cabaye etc...

It was a deadline day deal and I just wanted rid of Perch tbh so I'm not bothered about that. Don't want to get rid of Jonas as he's doing a great job in left midfield as a defensive winger, working well with Ben Arfa on the right. Nah I made sure when I loaned them out that they were going to either be key players or first team regulars so at least I know they are getting games and improving rather than just sitting in my reserves. Cheers for the heads up with the training though, i've just set my assistant to do it at the moment, I really need to learn how to do it properly, just seems so confusing.

Cheers mate, i've got a bit carried away, was supposed to be doing monthly updates but already in November, so just gonna do an end of year update then see how things carry on, probably start with the monthly updates again.

Will be interesting to see how you approach your transfers and how you do in the future. Again, I agree with Dodds about Adam Campbell and Remie Streete etc. I used Adam Campbell in cup matches, gave him 10 mins here and there in the Prem and now in 2020/21 season he has won back to back golden boot award in the prem, one season setting a new record of 47 league goals and is worth £23m.
Good luck with this, I look forward to seeing how you do.
