For those interested, my preseason went fine. Apart from the defeat to Stockport, decent warm ups. Few more clean sheets too.

Opening day victory against promoted Port Talbot, although they had more shots, a lot were very ambitious 45 yard efforts. Nyall Gray scoring on his first start too following a delicious through ball from man of the match, Gwion ap Dafydd.
It came at a price though. That is an outrageous injury.
Somehow the attention shifted to Lee Owens.

We wrote off Prestatyn heavily pre-match, but they were by far the better side. Matthew Jones filling in for Kyle McCarthy at left back, out of position a lot and their right winger had him in his back pocket. Harry Owen came off the bench to halve the deficit but not to wipe it out. Bad defeat.
Jonathan Copp hitting the blunt spoon on the head.

Largely rotated to improve match sharpness of others, but proved to be ineffective against Goytre. Close game until we completely switched off in the last five minutes.
Another game, another injury.
Not many praising our defending on the night.

Going to The New Saints is always going to end badly, however to put this in perspective; out of the 30 shots they had, only 3 were clear cut....same amount as we had! We looked dangerous on the rare occasions going forward, Nyall Gray struck the upright, Farleigh had a one on one squandered and Kiwanda hit the post from six yards out. Oikonomopoulos played heroically to keep the score at only 1-0 but late doors they grabbed a second. Pleasing performance apart from that.
Doubtful tweets about a few of our players' performances.
Bit of a rocky start to the season, but I remain optimistic to turn things around.
Next up for us this coming month:

Assume you sent him to the specialist to get him back within 3 months though?
