but where do you find the 2191 or 2192, 2193...?

<record id="2191" - Assigns a unique id number to specific adboard (you makes this number up but make sure it is not already in use elsewhere in the config)

The next bit of code determins where the previously assigned adboards will be displayed

<integer value="2191"/> - Positions adboard number 2191 in to be displayed for games in the assigned competition/club. This code needs repeated 44 more times as there are 45 adboard spaces on the maximumm pitch size

I remember using this pack way back in FM09 (or perhaps even earlier). Always loved it, but never got back to adding it to my game.

Just have one question, though. As per instructions on page one - you can choose club specific adboards, or comp specific. Now, I'd like to use club specific to give that "home feeling" to my own stadium. But, what happens if a premier team is relegated to the Championship (for example). Will they still be sporting the Barclay's Premier League adboards? Or, is there a way to code in the xml so that certain adboard slots are assigned whichever is the main division they play in?

Fairly sure not, since then there would be no need for multiple choices, as the same method should probably work for the Champions League and other competitions as well.

So, how does people go about handling promotion/relegation? Updating the adboards every season sounds like too much work.

We already use a two XML system, you can choose to use club specific ad boards or competition specific boards you just have to select the XML of your choice. There is a small group of us here, who produced updated ad boards for clubs and new adboards for clubs that currently don't.
With regards to your question about what happens when a club is relegated... If you are using competition specific boards there will be no change.
If you are using club specific ad boards then some may need updating. You should be able to do that with rabcp's update when its released.

Thanks. Yeah, that's pretty much how I understand that it would work.

What I was curious about, though - and I know this would be a project of it's own, considering the current massive amount of work that's been put into this - is this:

If the xml files were to be divided in this fashion:

Club Specific:
Adboard number 1,2,3 5,6,7 9,10,11
(Leaving out code for the missing adboard slots, assigned for competition specifics)

Then do competition specific

Adboard number 4 8 12
(Without code for the club specific slots)

Then use both sets of xml's?

While I haven't tried this - I would assume (or am I just hoping) something like this could be done and we'd all get the best of two worlds.

(Upon further investigation, reading up on the tuturial, I realize that adboard slots do not seem to be numbered, which means my idea probably doesn't work)

Guys this looks superb, would be great to have all clubs ad-boards for all divisions in the game. I know that is a shed-load of work but would be fantastic!!!
