After the tragic events towards the end of 2016 were Chapecoense FC suffered an immense loss not only in terms of life but also the community of football, it was only right that we can pay a small homage to them.
@Fola , @itchycoo and me are going to do them justice by rebuilding the club and attempt to finishes what was started. This is a tribute to them and all that have suffered as a result of the tragic events in November 2016 #ForçaChape
So were do we start? We need a hero to centre this story around ... a legend of sort ... that man ...
The man, the myth ... the legend that is Ronaldo. The big man is entering the fray to see what he can do for us. Hopefully we can kick start his managerial career but also the fortunes of Chape.
How the club shapes up. Not much wage budget to play round or a good standard of facilities. This is the challenge we face.
The squad for obviously is barren. Lot of work to be done.
So without further or do ... let the journey begin.

Here are the transfers-
Due to our transfer budget, I had to work purely on free transfers. The majority of the players that I have brought in are the wrong side of 30 but they have good stats and hopefully their experience will do us well this season.
Which brings our squad to look like this-
The squad is obviously quite thin but there is a little bit of transfer budget left which I will leave to Cymro or Itchy to spend.

Solid GK at this level.

Good all-round CB. Not bad pace either.

Our best player and highest earner at the club. Will hopefully be our key man this season.

New signing. Experienced and good all-round stats to get us the goals... hopefully.
Without a doubt this season is going to be a struggle. We are 1000/1 to win the league and dead certs to get relegated. I just hope we can defy the odds. Forca Chape!

Amazing first match. Battered them from start to finish.

Slaughtering. Moreno tore them apart and another HUGE win. Forca Chape! Moreno is already my favourite player on the game. The new Kluk.

Club expectations for the season, board thinks we are going down in the Serie A! I presume the Campeonato Catarinense is a regional league?

First game and getting used to the side managed a scrappy 1-0 win. Squad has some injuries, so lots of youngsters getting a run.

I see what Fola said about Moreno ... he is quality for a 37 year old.

Angry ... drew in the final second of the game when he conceded a needless penalty. Never one but had to suck it up. Keeper saved the penalty but we were to slow to clear the loose ball.

Beat the current champions of the this competition. Suffered a red card and had to hold out. Really should have won the game by more, dominated everything.

Off to a good start. I decided to keep the same starting eleven as in @Cymro's last match. Fabinho started up front and scored a brace.

Another win, this time away against Avaí. The defence is rock solid!

More solid defending gave us a 2-0 win at home. Unfortunately out goal keeper Marcelo Boeck picked up an injury and will be out for about two weeks. 42 year old Nivaldo replaced him in this game and did a fine job.
Tressor Moreno scored again and:

Nivaldo saved a penalty in the 6:th minute before Moreno scored from close range after a fine cross from left back Claudio Winck. Only minutes later Moisés scored from a free kick after some incredibly poor goalkeeping from their side. They scored a concolation goal - our first in years it seems.

First loss in the league. We had three player suspended for this match and we just weren't good enough.
