Venados FC

It all begins here,


The Carlos Iturralde, capacity 18,000, home of the Venados of Yucatán. We will play in the Ascenso MX, and we are expected to stay clear of relegation, as far away from the bottom 3 as possible.

We have an alright squad available,

This should be enough to achieve our goals, for now. With a mere 100,000 USD in the bank, we should have to make do with what we have.

Quiñones signs for Yucatán


The former Pumas winger, 24, will join Venados on a free after being released by Reynosa FC this past summer.

He will reportedly earn $1,700 a week until 2019.

"I'm happy to be here and to get a chance to play again," Quiñones told the Venados website. Quiñones' last competitive game was in the 2014/15 season for Segunda División outfit, Reynosa.

Venados sign defender Manuel Gómez Mora



Venados have signed Manuel Gómez(left) on a free transfer. Gómez will join Venados from Atlas until 2020, and has already become one of the club's top earners at $6k per week.

Gómez has previous experience playing for Celaya and UdeG in Ascenso MX, the latter of which with whom he won promotion in 2013/14. He will be hoping to get regular, first team football.

I believe we had an excellent preseason, especially as we didn't lose a single game, not even against first division Pachuca. I feel ready to avoid relegation in 2017.

August Update

We played our first league game against Tampico Madero
Tied @ Tampico, 2-2


Next, we played the First Leg of the Interliga(between Liga MX and Ascenso MX teams) first round
Won @ Cimarrones, 1-0


Then we played another league game at home against Correcaminos
Lost vs Correcaminos, 0-1


The second leg in the Interliga matchup was a good one, however, we were sentenced to death on penalties.
Lost vs Cimarrones, 0-1, Tied on aggregate, 1-1, Lost on penalties, 4-5


Finally, we miraculously won in Juárez thanks to a penalty from new signing Bryan Leyva.
