If like me, you don't have time for full-fat FM these days, but also don't like playing teams of grey players in continental competition, and want as many national teams playable as possible, this file is a useful tool to make FMT a more populated world.

RetainAll- retains all players from all countries not playable out of the box (apart from New Zealand with only top division players retained, as minor teams too well populated)
Playable- retains top division players from all playable European nations + Brazil (+ lower division Hibernian in the Europa League in the first season)

Though designed for FMT, presumably works on full-fat, but not recommended as the full-fat database is bigger and you have the advanced options at game setup to retain all top divison/international players/continental etc. anyway

Instructions: Place in your \Steam\SteamApps\common\Football Manager Touch 2017\data\db\1712\edt folder (if you are using the Susie RealNames fix, obviously do it after you have applied the real names fix)

Apply before starting new game

You're welcome, I'd made it for my own use, so took me five minutes to share and always good to get appreciative feedback.

Just to add, this is particularly useful if playing in Challenge mode- as Challenge mode only allows one country to be loaded, until I realised EDT/DDT files still worked, it always annoyed me that foreign mediocre players in my squad would often get called up by their national teams purely due to the lack of players in the database- this avoids that from happening, and I haven't noticed any particular degradation of performance by having the larger database.

@jbz, the winter transfer update for FM Touch was released few hours ago.
Are this file compatible with the update? If not, are you planning to release a new version of this file?
Thanks in advance!

Should be compatible- but there will be a new db folder for the new version so you will need to copy the files into that new folder

Yes sure. Anyway could you test the file? Probably there are new players in the official db and I'm afraid to mess the things up

@jbz, last year I really enjoyed my careers thanks to your useful file. Are you planning to release a version for FM Touch 2018?
Or at least could you kindly explain how to create this type of retain file?
Thanks!

Should still work mate in the same place in the FM18 equivalent folder.
Assuming unique IDs of the clubs haven't been re-numbered

Hi there, have you anything like this in for FMT 20? I specifically am thinking of the iOS version rather than the PC one.

Thanks
