It semi annoys me that the transfers are simply put into the game rather than entered in as transferring @ xx/yy/zzzz.
I can't see how this would be any more difficult than what is currently being done by the community. It would also ensure the financial repercussions of such moves actually occurred since it seems you don't update teams finances to match the transfers.

Just want to add that this was by no means aimed to cause offense to those who put hard work into updating our game. But more a query and hope for the future

Putting the future transfer in would mess with finances a lot. If we put in 3 players going to Real Madrid for £100 in January, they might run out of money, or spend money in the summer and then again in January, making the game more uneven.

Secondly in our experience most people want it so they can play with the current line up, much fewer people want future transfers, so the effort to do it just to please a small number of people isn't worth it from a time point of view.

But doesn't it mess with the finances if you don't have any money going in/out at all... Like if a club sells someone under the current methods they get nothing in return..

I agree with Samuel. The way it is now takes out the realism of the game and player development imo, I don't understand how this is more preferable

I agree with the OP
and the future transfer option does not have any bearing on a clubs finances, in game if you agree a transfer the money goes out/in for clubs when the deal is agreed not on the transfer date.

ie if I set up a transfer on 30thMay 2017 and the transfer date is 1 july 2017 the cash changes hand on the 30th may between clubs.

if you want to check this set up a future transfer and check the club finances of both the buying/selling clubs you will see they do not change at all(check finances in editor, set up transfer, start a game and check)

as it is now with the sortitoutsi file here should Mbappe go to Madrid for £100m + .......he will be moved to Madrid at start of 2016 the result Monaco will not get that cash or Madrid lose that money and this happens if you use future transfer too but you have realism of the deal going through in July 2017, surely the better option???

if you want financial realism you either edit the clubs finances with pre game editor...or as I do with in game one, I set up the major transfers to be future ones and edit the clubs finances accordingly so in the Mbappe example I take £100m for Madrid's budget and add that to Monaco etc, it doesnt take long to do as there is usually not much of a net loss/gain for clubs as they are buying and selling so balances out

what I do is use the may start run game on holiday for a few weeks until you get the clubs budgets for 2017, you can view all playable clubs with in game editor, just note them -

balance/transfer budget/wage budget and using the editor adjust them when you start your save pre/in game to reflect the future transfers this way you have REAL transfers going through at the right time and the finances right as correct as much as possible(as we do not know what clubs set as budgets in real life)

Would it be too complicated to code this in the data update so we could get the two options to download?
