The 6yr old superfan we saw everywhere last season, Defoe's BFF, has sadly passed away this afternoon.

We all knew this day was coming, especially hearing the news yesterday that he was unresponsive, but it still hurts. I'm upset at the loss of a person I never knew, I can't imagine what his parents are going through, relief, sadness, loss...

Cancer truly is a cunt.

RIP Bradley, you little warrior.

I am just happy that he had a great time (or so it seems) this season. Meeting some of the biggest footballers and all! RIP the little fighter!

Coincidentally we played a pre-season friendly against Sunderland tonight. Any thoughts of this being a game to test the waters and see where you are quickly went out the window when the news broke. Very sad atmosphere amongst both sets of supporters. We did have a minute's silence before the match and a minute's applause in the 6th minute in honour of the young lad. Result (2-3) didn't matter at all tonight and I'm just glad that this turned out to be a very tasteful and respectful tribute to the young man and you had to have a heart of stone if that didn't bring a tear to the eye. Also our chairman came out with this gem of a gesture before the match started:

Proud of my club tonight

Rest in peace little Bradley

Gutted, I never looked much into the lad because I knew I'd be upset if he was to go, but the support for him has been immense and rightly so. Got many thoughts with all those that knew him they must be devastated, RIP Bradley.

Yeah, huge respect for Defoe for the way he's supported the poor boy over the last six months or so.

Horrible for anybody to suffer through cancer but a six year old is just even more tragic, I honestly don't know how I'd cope if my two year old little girl became seriously ill.

RIP
