BIG Chromer
So I shall now update you all, season by season on the progress of Chichester City (Nicknamed The Lillywhites) as we try and take Southern Combination Premier side all the way to the Premier League, then, into the UEFA Champions League. Something I would like to do with this save is eventually start raising our youth status, and make us more reliant on that, however, that is a long way off.
Anyway, no time to waste, the journey continues..
BIG Chromer
Season 1 was nice and easy, picked up some nice free signings, one of them being Ryan Mattos, eventually scoring 39 league goals that season. Finishing 1st and earning our promotion.
Season 2 got a little tougher, financial troubles began, we managed to do okay in the FA cup which helped greatly in giving us a little extra cash, but again, finishing 1st, we went up again!
Season 3 + 4 is where things got tough, Season 3 we were outmatched by nearly ever team for everything, and we were outclassed, managing to scrape a 5th place finish. Season 4 heralded a new era for Chichester City, gone were the familiar faces of Ryan Mattos and Chichester Captain Garry Jones, and more came in to replace, no one stood out, but we had a squad, and we managed a 1st place finish and up we went!
Season 5 saw up redo the squad yet again having learnt from season 3s mistakes, and we had an impressive victory in the FA Cup against Cheltenham, giving us a nice little bank boost. Finishing 1st in the Vanarama National South and taking us up again.
Season 6, I was anticipating the destruction and possible relegation of my team, now an Icon of Chichester City I was determined to do my all to keep us in the National League, and we did, however we did better than that and BECAME A LEAGUE SIDE, finishing in 1st place and clenching a place in the English Football League! Not only that but we beat Notts County in the FA Cup, yet again giving us a hefty bank boost, Where we were eventually knocked out away to Newcastle, however the tasty cash we made in gate receipts certainly helped dull the pain of us bowing out the FA Cup, I wasnt just proud of my team this season, I was made a Legend of Chichester City, the first one, of im sure many player to join me on my journey.
We also lifted the FA Trophy back to back in Seasons 5 + 6, helping cement us as a up and coming force to reckon with.. Now our Journey continues, as we start life in league 2, the squad remaining with the same core, but with some impressive youth coming in, anything could happen.
Below is the General Club screen, just to show some of the basics of the save, the kits being something I made myself -
