Today the 1st July 2016 sees marks a change in Colchester United the supporters did not see coming. John McGreal left the club after 59 days in charge of the club citing transfer policy difference with the board his main reason for leaving the club. As soon as McGreal left his offices in the training ground and the Weston Homes Community Stadium, the Colchester hierarchy got to work finding their new manager. Many candidates went and were unsuccessful but one man went in and blew the socks off the board, that mans name is Martyn Brown. Martyn who is 25 years old, totally new to club management and has no prior experience was picked out of all the candidates which is a surprise to all supporters of the club. However, the supporters are the type to give people a chance and a chance they are giving him.
The Legacy starts now for Martyn Brown and we shift the scenes into gear of player/staff recruitment over the summer period as well as the friendly matches before their first league game of the season away to Hartlepool.
*Please note I will post transfers until the window closes and each months fixtures and results along with any awards I or the players win.
