I am trying to import a tactic (.tac) file into my Football Manager 2018 game, but unfortunately the file is not appearing when trying to import.

Could you please explain to me why this is or if there is something else I need to do in order for the file to appear.

This may be a bug as someone is having a similar problem loading shortlists. Could you post on the SI Forum please https://community.sigames.com/forum/582-football-manager-2018-bugs-forum/

I'm also on a mac and have had the same problem. I have figured out a simple fix for my situation, hope this helps:

Load up the Beta game where you had the Tactics saved, go to the tactic screen and simply save again overwriting the tactic, when you load up your new game they should be there to choose.

Thanks... I have posted in there and I'll await a response.

I'm on a MAC and not had a problem on previous FM's... I was just wondering if others had experienced the same problem, or if I'm being a complete doughnut!

I didn't use the BETA... I waited until the full release

Ok, best to contact the maker of the tactic and get them to follow my instructions and re-upload as they crated it in the Beta causing the conflict

You need to be using .fmf files now as for the release of FM18 .fmf files (and the Steam Workshop) are now available instead of .tac files.

can you elaborate on this?

As i cannot get tactics to show up in the game when I am loading them..

I found it on SI Games forum whilst looking for the answer to the problem, I was also having problems loading tactics, but .fmf files load for me no problem from steam.

Hi, i'm having trouble loading my preious tactics I made in my first career on FM18. I just started my second career, went to load my tactics (they are fmf files) but it just says; "This file could not be imported".
Any advice? P.S. Im on windows 10 if that helps..
