I will be updating the club side of things bi-monthly, and the national team annually. I have no idea how far I'll get with this challenge, or if I'll complete it, but I can't wait to give it a go! Winning the Champions League will be "easier" than winning the World Cup but it could still take decades!!
My aim this season is to get promoted from Serie D and try to remain competitive with San Marino NT.

A decent run of results in the 7 friendlies we played. 3 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss in total, against mainly teams in Serie C, Serie D and the Eccellenza. Looking at our league fixtures, we play 34 games as there are 18 teams in the division. I will play the 7 games across August and September, then come back for an update before my October and November matches.

From past experience, San Nicolo are always title challengers so the match away to them will be hard but I don't really know a lot about the other opposition so our aim will just be to get as many points as possible.

So, we began our Serie D campaign with 7 fixtures in the first two months. I wasn't sure what to expect, but any expectations I did have were blown away as we managed 4 wins and 3 draws, meaning we ended September as the only unbeaten side in the league. We started with two draws against Vis Pesaro and Vastese before easing past Nerostellati Pratola, Jesina, San Nicolo (who I expected to be title challengers, not sat one place outside the relegation zone) and Sangiustese. We closed off September with a disappointing home draw versus Recanatese, but we remain unbeaten and I cannot complain about that.
Somehow, despite such a great two months, we only occupy fourth spot in the league. Francavilla Mare are currently top, one point ahead of us, and we face them in November in what could be a crucial game. There are no playoffs in Serie D; the league winners go up and that's it, so we have to make sure we end up as league champions- something I'm confident we can do as long as we can turn some of these draws into wins.
I will play the 8 games in October and November (as shown below) then come back for another update
