Because they're in real danger of being relegated.

Obviously, but that's hardly related.

They've just been beaten 3-1 by a team that's playing in League Two with what looked like quite a full strength side to me.

If they are knocked out by them it surely has to be the final straw considering they're only sitting outside the relegation zone because Wigan and Southampton have been quite unlucky this season. They've the worst defence in the Premier League and have scored the least (along with QPR).

Away goals only count after extra time rather than before in the League Cup, if I recall correctly.

If they win the second leg they will have won as many as Villa.

I can see Villa molesting Bradford in the return leg though. Hope not for the glory of lower league clubs.
Also, do Bradford stand to be in the Europa if they get to the final or will that place get put back into the Prem?

Don't think runners-up of the Carling Cup get a European spot.

Doesn't it depend who wins it? If as expected Chelsea do win it, who will most likely be in the CL next season then surely the runner up will get the EL spot?

Nah it goes to the next best PL team if that's the case.

Should the FA Cup winners, runners-up (if applicable) and the Football League Cup winners already have qualified for Europe, their place goes to the next best placed clubs in the Premier League.

Aww. That's no fun. Wonder why they changed it.
Oh wait no I misread the FA Cup bit. That was the only one I remember being runners up go through a la Southampton, Millwall etc.

Hate Villa since that day we got relegated and they decided to inundate themselves with banners. Didn't know they cared that much.

Thoroughly enjoyed Bradford taking them apart tonight.

With any luck they'll still be in this state when we come to Villa in 3 weeks, not least given I'm actually planning on going.

Bradford-Villa was amazing - don't think I've seen such a dismantling before.

WHO'S YOUR NEXT MESSIAH? ALEX MCLEISH. AGAIN?

In fairness it wasn't just Aston Villa who decided to revel in our relegation.

Geoff Shreeves is making his way to the Chelsea tunnel, to inform Ivanovic that he has just cost Chelsea a League Cup Final spot.

Not going to say much. We are just so wasteful. And yet again, Torres barrely does a thing in 81 minutes but in the 13 minutes Ba was on, he managed to have three chances, scoring one which was ruled out. We need someone that can constantly score.

Also, what the hell happened to Ivan? So not Ivan-like

We'll have to produce something special to reach the final now and unfortunately I just don't see it happening.

I'd be happy to see any of the three teams bar Chelsea win it. A Bradford-Swansea final would be the best though.
