The Hexagon Challenge

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/izPiZrlNwagZyvUlqGJLt4uasgKPt6jMs38B4TPB.png

This is the toughest challenge I have attempted in Football Manager, and I just want to put the rules out there, or the ones I am at least using. I have decided not to use the rule that I cannot resign and move on to another job unless sacked or winning the competition for that continent, I just have more fun when I can move around and explore the nations! I have started with no coaching badges, and my previous experience is set to Sunday league manager, meaning my coaching stats aren't great, but that is part of the fun. I also would rather not go to Europe to start, and would prefer to win a few other competitions before going to Europe, given that is where I normally manage, its fun to explore other nations! This is also a Club/International Hexagon Challenge, as such I want to win all major continental contests for Club and Country, as well as the big one, the World Cup, and the not so big one, the Club World Cup.

Brief Biography

I chose to leave Adidas after getting the offer from Navua, given they are Semi-Pro, and would help pay for my first coaching badge, which they did do, and I now have. Navua then sacked me for league position, and during this time I applied for a few jobs in China, New Zealand, Korea and India Under 23s. I then got the Hamilton job where I am now, and thought nothing of the India Under 23s job, however a couple days later I was offered that also, so took it up and we went to the Asian Games. We got knocked out in the groups as India Under 23s, and therefore the Indian under 23s national team has no more competitive fixtures, so the game made me auto leave the role. I then saw that South Korea were doing well, and wanted the chance at a quick trophy, and the job for Under 23s was free, so I applied, got it in days, then led them to the Asian Games Trophy for 2018. Hamilton have since gone on to win the New Zealand league under myself along with the Charity Cup, then I got the unexpected message that Northern Ireland were asking me to manage them, first team too, so I left my wonderful role with the South Korean U23s and joined up with them. We left the role of Northern Ireland manager after one friendly. (So this is the reason, the game would crash dump trying to schedule both club and international football in for me, when in New Zealand and the OFC champions league, so I have resigned to see if it'll work, for those wondering, it has worked, the save is saved!). The Treble was achieved in the last season with Hamilton, winning the Charity Cup, ASB Premiership and the first continental contest, the OFC Champions League, I then told the board my contract would not be renewed and I will leave in June 2020

Ben McIntrye joins Shanghai Shenxin

FM sports news sources understand that Hamilton Wanderers leading goalscorer has been subject to a £800,000 transfer bid from Shanghai Shenxin. Want-away defensive forward MyIntyre is believed to have handed in a transfer request, however this was rejected by manager Homer, however this bid is too good to be true for the debt ridden Wanders and the bid was in fact accepted. McIntyre joins Shenxin on a 2 year deal on a reported £425 per week. This will come as a blow to Wanderers fans as the team starts its OFC Champions League campaign.

Nick Clegg returns to Hamilton Wanderers

Despite the earlier news that Ben McIntyre has left the Wanderers, the fans do have something to celebrate today, with the club confirming the return of last seasons on loan legend, Nick Clegg. Clegg who famously lead Homers Wanderers side to the ASB Premiership title last season on loan from Central United has today rejoined the club for a reported £235,000. Its no secret that the Wanderers have been struggling for goals and Homer must surely hope the addition of Clegg will help bolster his attacking ranks. Last season Clegg scored 23 goals and got 3 assists in 20 appearances for the club, earning himself 5 man of the match awards, the ASB Premiership golden boot, ASB Premiership player of the year and ASB Premiership young player of the year.

Further headache for Homer as Anderson looks to force move

There was breaking news from the Porritt Stadium today, with Michael Anderson handing in a transfer request. We understand this was rejected and he will remain at the club for the foreseeable future. This will be a relief for fans of the Wanderers, who are eager to see how there team performs in their first outing under Homer in the OFC Champions League.

BREAKING: Homer tell Hamilton board he will not be renewing his contract (29th May 2020)

FM Sports News Understands that Homer has told the Hamilton board he will not be renewing his contract with the club following a successful season where he won the New Zealand treble (ASB Premiership, OFC Champions League and New Zealand Charity Cup). Homer has had a successful two years with Hamilton winning them their first trophy's in the clubs 20 year history as well as being named manager of the year in both his years in New Zealand. Homer who has won 2 ASB Premierships, 1 New Zealand Charity Cup and 1 OFC Champions League will leave on the 30th June 2020, bringing his two year spell to an end. Early reports suggest he will move to China to manage 2018 AFC Champions League winners Hebei China Fortune, who currently sit 13th in the Ping An CFA Super League. Hebei have been without a manager since the 10th May when they sacked manager Gus Poyet after only 157 days in charge for his poor league position. However FM Sports News understand the Hebei board would rather bring in Philippe Troussier, the current Jiangsu Suning manager, who won the Chinese FA Cup in 2019 with Jiangsu. Homer is understood to be on a month to month contract until either Hamilton release him or another club signs the 22 year old manager.

BREAKING: Homer renews contract with Hamilton until 2022

Despite reports saying Homer will be leaving Hamilton at the end of the season, the board have persuaded him to stay after offering to pay for his second coaching badge, as such he is contracted to remain at the Wanderers until 2022. However with reported interest from Jomo Cosmos and Sundowns in South Africa, is it just a matter of time before Homer moves on?

In other news FM Sports News understands that new sponsorship deals mean Hamilton Wanderers AFC are now out of debt, and have a reported £500,000 in the bank. This news will come as a great relief to Homer, who can now focus on replacing players who are leaving, as well as strengthening in the attacking areas of the pitch.

1 November 2020

Zulfikar Singh joins Jiangsu Suning for £925,000

Attacking Midfielder Zulfikar Singh has left Hamilton Wanderers for £925,000 after Chinese side Juangsu Suning matched his release clause. We understand he has also handed in a transfer request which Homer had accepted. The deal will come as a disappointment to Wanderers fans, however, this money will come as a boost to manager Homer and the board at Hamilton, with the money paying of the clubs debts and providing them some money to use for the summer transfer window. Singh who played 55 games and scored 2 goals for the Wanderers joins Juangsu on a two year deal.

Wanderers sign 13 players!

Homer has clearly thought his side needed an overhaul, bringing in no less than 13 players, including Left Midfielder Rhys Devlin from St. Mirren for £10,000. Other players include Goalkeeper Matt Herbert from AFC Wimbledon (£4,500), Striker Jahleal Browne from Boston United (£10,750) and Target Man Charles Lokolingoy on a free transfer. These signing are somewhat of a coup for Homers side, with the announcements slashing the odds of Hamilton winning their third straight league title, putting them as second favourite.

Michael Anderson signs two year deal

There is delight in the Wanderers camp today as want away midfielder committed his future to the club. This will be somewhat of a surprise for fans of the side, and most likely manager Homer, with Anderson who looked set on moving away deciding his future belongs with the New Zealand side. Anderson will remain at the club for another two years earning £700 per week,
