So reducing the size of my squad has proven dividends, as the team are now playing more games together and getting longer runs in the team. Everyone's happy enough, except Smalling has started talking about seeking a fresh challenge. The spine of the team are pretty much undroppable as Long as they're fit, Pickford, Dier, Alli, Kane and Rashford.
Pickford has definitely proven an upgrade on Butland and I'm glad I've got him here for the foreseeable future. Dean Henderson has been given his usual cup games, which has strangely attracted some interest from other clubs?
Nothing great in the full back department at the moment. RB is looking possibly the weakest part of the pitch. Ethan Laird is on loan at Millwall and I may blood in him in the Summer. Sam Byram is attracting interest from Stoke.
CB, as I said Smalling has started to complain about leaving. I've kept him quiet for now but I may need to replace him in the Summer. Dimitris Vaseiliou is playing very well at Villa, so it'll be time to get him in soon. Dier and Jones has been my first choice pairing, with Smalling and Axel dipping in and out to replace Jones. Axel's also had interest from Wolves, if they come in with a decent bid, he can go and I'll blood some youth.
In the middle of the park I've seen the better improvements. Davies and O'Riley clearly have more ability than Livermore and Shelvey, so it was definitely worth the money. Alli has picked up a couple of Red Cards, which is becoming annoying.
As usual, all my stars are up top. Kane and Rashford are currently tussling it out for top scorers which is handy! The third spot usually drops to Wellbeck, but every time I give Vardy a go, he knocks it out of the park. His contract is up in the Summer and I need to decide on giving youth a chance or one more for our WKD swigging friend.
Don't get me wrong, I'm rally happy one of my lads has finally won the player PotY, but I'm really disappointed it wasn't Rashford.
Still in there! A media prediction of 5th, they can stick that up their arse! Currently top of the league and just about clear, losing only one game all season. Harry Kane has been the real difference, as is trimming the squad. Special note to Chelsea, unbeaten but with hella draws. This will be our year!
Champions League
Standard stuff with qualification secured and a next round game against CSKA, which I'm confident of progressing. AC Milan did hand my arse to me though in a 4-1 thumping. I took that out on Ludogorets by smashing them 7-0.
What's changed? Who's in? Pickford is now firmly established as no.1. Tom Davies and Lewis Cook have both had their England debuts in the last few squads. The team now consists of 13 MUFC players, which the media are very upset about.
What's Next?
Nothing really. The u23's are woeful at the moment as the majority of the team are on loan, so I may spend £5m for some 17 year olds to help them out. That's it really.

So yes, Arsenal came in with a decent offer which I took. I've to to be honest, I never imagine Byram would be here as long as he did so fair play. I took the sell on percentage out of the deal, as there's now way they're getting profit.
And in from the wilderness...
It's time to step up!

Great sell you made.

Twice in a row, and a lucky sausage too with two Spurs own goals. Another fairly easy run through to the final, taking in the B's of Brighton, Burnley and Bournemouth.

And it all comes down to it...

Well done on winning it

Thanks Man. I have 5 strikers rotating with 3 up top. You'll se in a minute, but the back up strikers chalk up 20plus goals to go with the first team. Jamie Vardy has been immense.
Crazy GD, but only just scraped the league!

2019/20 REVIEW
We've done it finally! After three seasons and a couple of near misses, we've managed to win the league. I spent most of the season in second, with Chelsea matching us the whole way through. But my strikers made up that extra point with an outstanding goal difference. With 13 points separating 3rd, we both ran away with it. I reckon Chelsea will be back biting next season too.
Speaking of which, an agonising cup final loss to Chelsea, ruining my clean sweep of trophies, losing on penalties after playing two thirds of the game with 10 men after Redmond was sent off.
The League Cup was wrapped up in March, with that tricky game against Spurs in the final.
However, the crowning glory of the entire season was a first champions league in 12 years, beating perennial nearly men Juventus 2-1 in the final. A brutal route, taking in CSKA Moscow, Atletico and PSG en route to the triumph.
GK Pickford proved to be a very good upgrade on Butland and I'm glad I took the plunge. The style of play that I use (we can score more than you) will likely not result in a golden glove, but his distribution seems to be on point. Good backup from Dean Henderson in the cups, but he's angling for a loan away so I may have to lose him permanently in the Summer.
Def My first choice pairing of Jones and Dier with club-grown Tuanazebe rotating with Jones has proved fruitful, unfortunately, it has pissed of Smalling who has asked for a new challenge. I think we may be saying goodbye in the Summer. Also, a hatrick from Jones!
After moving Byram on in the Winter, Ethan Laird was called back from loan to provide backup to Trippier. I'm happy to say, that he's shown immense potential, chiding in with 4 assists in half the appearances made by Trippier. I can see a callup to the England squad in the next year.
Speaking of youngsters, Sessegnon is no firmly the first choice LB, laying on an amazing 14 assists for the team.
Mid Midfield has seen most of the upgrades from 12 months ago. Dele Alli has outscored any midfielder in my tenure, with 19 goals along with 11 assists. The young CM triumvant of Cook, Davies and O'Riley have all proven to be good stock for the future, with O'Riley showing immense potential. This has left Tom Carroll on the peripheries of the team...
Fwd "Jamie Vardy was an animal" I said last year. 12 months on, and the now 33yo has scored 43 goals and 16 assists. I was going to let him go due to age, but with those numbers how could I? Another year beckons. Harry Kane was the unfortunate victim of a broken ankle which wiped him out for 4 months, including the upcoming Euros. Still, 27 goals in a debut season is not to be sniffed at. But look at those assists! 25 in 2/3 of a season. Speaking of assists, Danny Welbeck is still staying front and centre in front of Redmond with a monster 38 assists. And the main man, the guy who has been leading the line from the start of my tenure, Mr Rashford. 51 goals and 20 assists in 54 games are ridiculous stats, helped by a relatively injury free season.
Sheer dominance from the boy Rashford, finally coming of age and clean sweeping all of the awards as I prophesied right at the start. With all this attention, surely he's in for World Player of the Year? Shoutout to 33 year old back up striker Jamie Vardy for recognitions across the board.
Transfer pot is in, and with £192m at my disposal who do I want? Well...nobody really. The team absolutely dominated last season and I wouldn't want to break up a happy team. So now's the time to start blooding some youngsters in who were performing out on loan. Chris Smalling wants out, so Dimitris Vasileiou who spent the season on loan with Aston Villa is a good replacement and I'm looking forward to seeing the step up after paying £5.75m three years ago.
Next? Tom Carroll is past his sell by date for the club, and perennial sloppy-second merchants Arsenal are sniffing around. And to come in? Anglo/Portugese nephew of Nani, Angel Gomes has been playing premier league football with Boro all season and is more than ready for a run in the team.
Lastly, Dave Whitehead, signed at the same time as Vasileiou during the great Fulham pillage of 2017, has spent the season at Sunderland and Cardiff, scoring 18 in 26. A natural replacement for Jamie Vardy when I move him in next Summer.

Thanks Bud. I think it really shows how important a good tactic and team chemistry is. I'm hoping this will finally transfer to the international stage.
It also shows that as time goes one and the league is flooded with better foreign players, the better English ones can actually be picked up for a fair price.
