A new young manager appears from the wild, eyes bleary with nought but a pocketful of dreams and delusions of grandeur. No aim here, just to be the best manager I can be with absolutely no experience and no coaching badges.
Leagues loaded are generally the ones I like and enjoy playing in, but as the years move on, I may add some more obscure ones.
Wish me luck! I need to afford to feed my dog,,,

After applying for what feels like 30 jobs, I finally have my first interview. Harry Kewell was fired from his job for having an annoying wife, so they decided to take the plunge and give me a job interview, better take my wedding ring off just in case...
I don't have high hopes, I thought I'd end up in Scotland or Holland, but it's good to dip my toe in the water.

This is the one, I can feel it in my bones. I'm pulling on the spirit of my great-great-second cousin thrice removed, who was Scottish, on my dads side that I can get my first job. Here goes...
Joe Boy
So there I was, wondering if I needed to pack my wellies for Scotland, when my local(ish) team Cambridge came knocking. After 6 failed interviews and god knows how many unsuccessful application, League 2 Cambridge United have decided to try their luck.
A BACKGROUND
THE TEAM
You know what, this isn't a bad team. Uche Ikpeazu and Jevani Brown have led the line well, but I think another ST should be brought in to compliment them, only scoring 12 goals between them. David Forde is an experienced keeper, but at 38 he's coming to the end. It looks like the team could do with a new RB, so it looks like the loan market will need to be raided. As most lower league teams, the squad looks a little bloated for my liking, so I need to try and trim the fat.
COMPETITIONS
Mercifully, they have been knocked out of all the cups, so I can come straight in and concentrate on the league. 9th has left them in a good place, only 6 points from automatic promotion, which should help me with the board aim of play-offs.
FINANCES
As with any club at this level, it is imperative to look after the bank account. A couple of transfers more than you can afford or wages that are too high can send the club spiralling into administration. Cambridge are doing okay overall, with the clubs coffers containing over £150k and £222k in the transfer budget. To stop this from happening, I aim to use the free loan market to supplement the squad until Summer, and hopefully, to another contract.

One month into the job, and the end of the transfer window. So what's been happening?
RESULTS
So, the first game was a real baptism of fire, getting spanked 4-0 by Coventry. I rightly lost my rag with the team, with top scorer Uche Ikpeazu getting out of his box because he doesn't like being told off. A 2-2 draw was sandwiched by 4 goal scoring wins. I'm hoping to find some form.
TRANSFERS
Ikpeauzu tested me and now he's gone. Less than his value, but I won't have anyone lipping me off, top scorer or now. For the ins, I have brought real talents to the club on loan, not only all for free with no wages but all over the pitch. The Leeds 3 are worth keeping an eye on. As well as the ever-versatile Rankin-Costello. I'm hoping to save the club money to help push on in the future.
LEAGUE
Keeping the board happy by hanging around the bottom of the play-offs. I really think if I get a good run, I can slip into the automatic spots.
Happily, the board like me enough to put me on my national C badges, another good excuse to keep the club in the black.

With the output of the cups is just focus and give the maximum for the championship. I hope you get the promotion. Good Luck

Squeaky bum time indeed...
