Although this is time consuming it does allow you to continue with a save game if you have the In-Game Editor!

Its pretty easy
start the editor
find those teams that are in cups (euro fa etc)
example:
My team Man Utd
U can see in the screenie what I meen
u just delete those marked with red only those with cups

Let's recap everything.
Here's the screen which shows that 3d kits are indeed not working in Champions league:
To correct this, go to kit colours in editor (or ingame editor) and delete or remove everything. Then add this 5 basic items and don't assign any competitions to them. Just add them and put basic colours, like this:
Then save game and restart(!). After restart, kits are working fine (same match):
If you do that in normal editor, you have to restart career. With ingame editor, you can continue careers in progress.

it's OK I did it with the editorr of the paid game and it works for the moment in FA CUP I'm waiting for my next league game of champions ....thx m8

i played with sporting cp...why in champions league sporting have original kits (i played vs sevilla and i didn't qualified in CL, but i got the Europa League group stage but vs Fastav Zlin original kits didn't show me...i played in some default kits). Can somebidy can help me...you have the all pictures

I picked up the editor. Do I need to clear cache, etc. after making changes?
follow my instructions on the pictures then when all done save your game no need to clear cache HAPPY DAYS

In the in game editor make sure show licenced kits are ticked and not un ticked
