Estrela da Amadora. A club, that without any surprise, is unknown to most.
But that is about to change.
Short piece of the club's history
Founded in 22nd January 1932, Estrela da Amadora were a club in Amadora, a city in the Lisbon region, in Portugal. The club played their home matches at Estádio José Gomes in Amadora, Portugal.
The club featured in 16 editions of the Primeira Liga (currently Liga NOS for sponsorship reasons), the top tier of Portuguese football. They do not have many honours attached to their name, despite having a Portuguese Cup and 2nd tier title.
Sadly, due to financial struggle, the club went extinct in 1st March, 2011.
Now, in 2017, the club is refounded as fully amateur, and placed into 2º Divisão da AF Lisboa, the 4th division of the Lisbon district league system, and the 7th of the Portuguese system overall.
The Squad
As we can see, it clearly isn't the most balanced of squads, but we'll work with it.

Paulo Miranda is by far our best player, hopefully he can tap some in. I'll have a lot of changes to do, so I'll post screenshots of other players later.

LEAGUE TABLE
Very good. 4 promotion spots will make sure we get out of this division fairly quickly.
Also, we've gone further in the district cup than I expected. Into the actual tournament, I don't have my money on winning it, but these are fully amateur teams, so who knows.

Ups and downs all across. 2 defeats to lose the invencibility and the district cup elimination on pens did screw up a period that had started well with 7 points in 9 games. But I expected a bumpy road.

Very tight up top. Hopefully our form increases so we don't risk losing our promotion spot come January.

Happy New Year! And it was happy indeed, as we got a perfect spell, as we won all of our 5 matches.
