Soooo I'm considering a journeyman career and when I create myself I was going to add my real-life coaching qualifications... is that cheating?

Just wondering if that damages the integrity of the concept... or maybe I paid all that money and time earning them just for this advantage!

I considered this too as I have my first qual, but felt like I'd just go back to basics and start fresh for the save

For what it's worth I always see that journeyman saves typically / generally all start unemployed and no badges, however if we go down the 'it's your game' route then it's upto you. I guess with challenges that specifically say no badges / experience then it may be classed as cheating but for your won game if you are creating yourself as true to life then no I wouldn't say it's cheating.

I sometimes change the playing experience (not quite international quality sadly) so it wouldn't hurt to use yours. You don't need to use all the attributes you get given either, I don't think anyway.

A Journeyman save is a Journeyman - nothing says WHERE the journey starts from.

I know a lot are start unemployed, no experience etc. But hey - you got the quals.

Very true, I'm doing a journeyman starting with Arsenal, I want to move around but with top teams. Anything goes right?

FM is essentially a single-player game, so yeah - play it the way you enjoy it.

I always start at a random cub 'Pick a Team For Me', set my quals as suitable for that club, and go from there - I want the best career I can achieve.
Sometimes I'll choose a nation, or region, but otherwise it's random. I will stand or fall on my ability to make a group of players perform.
