Welcome to Brecon Northcote. Here's a little bit about them.
Not very informative, I know. Basically a random amateur club with a young history that just got promoted up to the Mid Wales League 2, the fourth division of Welsh Football. With their football league basically a nothing competition compared to the glamour of the Premier League and the Scottish Championship (maybe not), the level of competition isn't very high. That being said we are expected to finish bottom, so maybe high enough.
No staff, no players, no trophies, nothing. Starting from scratch. Just the way I like it.
Hang around for the next year and you might see another of these updates.

The lads. Still getting to know each other, but looks like a strong bunch who can compete for the title this season. Sam Tattum looks like the star of the team, and Liam Blake looks amazing as well. The first team looks solid, while the bench has a good blend of experience and youth. Brad Miguel represents our international experience, with a single cap for St.Vincent and the Grenadines. Should be a good season.
(If you wanna see anyone's stats, lemme know)
Backroom staff. Nothing remarkable. Lots of former players, Roy Gumbs had a cap for Anguilla at 39, and represents the international experience in this group.
Got thrashed in most of the friendlies, but didn't really have a squad for most of them so not annoyed about that.
So.....should be an easy season right?
Come back for the next update....sometime this century maybe.

Solid month, unbeaten in the league, but can't say it was unexpected. Liam Blake has been fantastic, scoring in 5 out of the 7 games and having 8 goals overall. The 7-2 over Dolgellau was quite interesting - the scoreline was 2-2 at halftime, but we exploded in the second half to dominate the game.
Somehow we didn't even have the best month in the league, with Montgomery going 7-0 in Aug-Sep fixtures, will be a tough matchup against them. The table seems pretty tight, with only a 3 point difference between 3rd and 8th. With the best goal difference in the league, we could have a major advantage come the end of the season.

Remember how I said that Montgomery were doing quite well? Well, we played them, and it didn't go well. We got completely FMed, doubling the shots on target and controlling possession, but still losing 2-1, pushing us 5 points of them. Very, very annoying. Then we went to Dyffryn Banw. They're in 10th. Easy game, right? Next thing you know, we lost 4-1.
You might be asking why. One reason - my reserves.
After the first month, a number of my squad players began complaining about game time. As a nice person who doesn't want to exclude people, I agreed to play them. In the Montgomery game, Liam Blake and Sam Tattum - my stars - began on the bench. Brad Miguel did nothing whatsoever. The next game, I rotated the side completely - all backups. The results can be clearly seen. The goal Blake scored? Off the bench.
After this run, I realised one important fact. In the lower leagues, always assume that your backups are shite, because it is a BAD idea to rely on them.
With my mind now clean, I started our best elevens in the next games. We got two solid wins, with Blake and Higdon showing their value with goals in both the games with goals. This led to this league table.
Thankfully, Montgomery slipped up and now are only 3 points off and we have a 5 point gap. First isn't off just yet, but we need to maintain consistency - the bane of lower league sides.
