Hi guys,

I'm guessing we still can't enforce Athletic style rules with regards to player nationalities and clubs? Reckon we'll ever be able to?

Just looking at European finals of days of old where all the players are from their respective nations. Would love to enforce some transfer rules to see how the game would pan out if, say, United could only buy British players etc.

you can to an extent do that now, experiment with the fixture rules via advanced rules you can impose rules on individual clubs now

also impose rules to make clubs pick home grown players

and limit transfer activity by country/or continent/region -1 will stop transfer activity

Hey, really old thread so hopefully you guys are still active on here.

Have you been able to confirm that league rules set on specific clubs work? I've tried experimenting with them in the past but never had much success with it.

 

The most reliable way to give a club Bilbao style rules is to use one of the few hard coded clubs in the database that have the signing policy of only being able to sign players from the “Based Nation".

 

Bermuda Hogges is the best one to use.
