Rick is doing a walk for charity, he is a seasoned poster on here. He has received a lot of money from fellow members eager to support him.

You have just signed up to post this, you might get some money but I doubt you can expect much.

I realise this is for charity, but we can't have members who've never posted before come here begging for money. It's not what this forum is here for.

Yeah, I tried promoting my walk on other forums where I don't have much of a post count but I didn't raise anything other than a few snide comments. I think unless your a major charity people have to feel a sense of familiarity/affinity with you in order to persuade them to hand over their money. Good luck with you fundraising either way though, It sounds like a interesting and good cause.

You obviously mean well even if you have signed up to advertise, if you set up a text giving i'll throw in £1 or 2 as the money will be wasted on texting something shite to my mate anyway. Best of luck to you and guys, a couple of quid won't hurt your pockets that much will it? (Unless you buy a lass a drink with it and get somewhere)
