Getting Around Europe Quicker Than Shedender

We had returned to competitive action from the winter break very confidently having netted eight goals and conceded one with just two games and two wins. March was about to get busier though as we went on to face six games over the month. We had five important league games as well as the quarter final first leg of the Pohar ceske posty. Could our cup dream continue.


March began with us traveling to Most who weren't out the title challenge just yet. A good game which had no goals saw it end as it started at nil nil.

As we returned home so did the goals as we welcomed Jihlava. A five goal thriller began after just four minutes when Rezek gave us the lead. We were pulled back level moments before the half hour mark however came fighting straight back when Dvorak netted for us. We went into the second half leading two one, however doubled our advantage when Pilik netted. Jihlava pulled one back again but we saw out a three two win.

And as we traveled to Olomouc-Holice the goals seemed to have dried up again. Despite us dominating over the ninety minutes we were unable to find the net, as were the home side and for the second game in three we saw out another nil nil draw.

And as we returned home things got worst. We welcomed Trinec and battled hard but lost come full time. We tried everything but didn't take the chances we did make. Trinec snatched the win in the eighty first minute from a corner which we failed to defend.

The quarter finals of the Pohar ceske posty saw us face top tier side Slavia Prague and the first leg we welcomed them. They took the advantage early on when they took the lead but before the break we managed to claw back level through Havlicek. However despite our best efforts we weren't able to hold onto a draw in the first leg as Slavia Prage allowed their superiority to shine through and grabbed a second.

We ended the month with a tough game traveling to Bohemians Prague. A tough place to go and in truth it was a tough game however we were able to win in a narrow victory. The only goal of the game came on the half hour mark when Havlicek to secure the win.


We blew our lead a little bit however managed to keep our top spot. We stay top with fifty three points as we sit six points clear of second place Zlin who sit on forty seven points. However we then open a nice gap up over third and fourth as Most and Trinec both sit twelve points behind us at the top of the table whilst fifth place Usti nad Labem sit on forty points, thirteen behind us!

The penultimate month of the season was upon us and we faced another busy month. However with a decent month and a slip up from others around us we really could put the league title beyond doubt. But we had to keep our focus. We'd kick off April with the second leg of the Pohar ceske posty quarter finals which we already trailed in as well as facing four league games.


We began April on the road traveling to Slavia Prague in the Pohar ceske posty. The first leg of the quarter final saw us lose two one and unfortunately we couldn't come back in the game. The second leg was better for us, we took the lead after seven minutes with Rein netting and ten minutes later we were two up and ahead on aggregate when an own goal went in. Unfortunately we conceded one either side of the break and this saw us end two all on the night but slipping out the quarter finals four three on aggregate.

We returned home and returned to league action as we welcomed the leagues struggling side Taborsko. A good performance saw us take the lead just seven minutes before the break when Kaspar netted for us. However the restart wasn't brilliant for us as Taborsko pulled level. However Rezek netted for us twenty minutes from time to secure all three points for us.

A second game at home saw us welcome Caslav which went on to be a six goal thriller. We may of conceded in the opening ten minutes but this seemed to spur us on as Homola netted a penalty on the twenty fifth minute before Dvorak netted two minutes later and three minutes from that we were three one up with an own goal. Second half we stretched our lead to four one when Sedlak confidently nodded home a corner. We conceded a second but were home and dry by then.

The goals continued to come when we traveled to Usti nad Labem. A good game saw us lead after thirteen minutes through Rein but come the break we were two one behind as the home side rallied the come back. Second half we started stronger again with Rezek leveling. We conceded a third and looked like we were starring at defeat. Luckily Rezek got fortunate to add his second to bring things level before an injury time winner from Homola secured a four three win.


The final game of the month saw us wrap up the league title with three games still to play! As we traveled to Karvina we celebrated with a three one win along with the title. Kaspar gave us the lead after twenty six minutes before Karvina set out to spoil our day when they leveled. Second half we knew the title was in our grasp and two goals in four minutes from Kaspar and Homola saw us wrap it up with a three one win.


As I said, we were champions and still had three league games to play so we will look to end the season on a high now. We sit on sixty five points after twenty seven games which sees us twelve clear of second and third place Most and Zlin respectively whilst Usti nad Labem and Trinec sit third and fourth, nine points off that second place and final promotion spot which will be hotly contested over the next few weekends.

Wrapped the league title up with three games remaining so I suppose you can relax now and start planning for next season? No shame in crashing out of the cup as you faced a top flight team but you did very well against them and that has to be a positive going into next season.

Or will you resign and manage someone else?

We have indeed Shedender however we won't focus on next season just yet, I want to see the league season out on a high so hopefully grab three more wins this season! We performed very well in the cup, got to a round further than the board expected and only narrowly lost out, we faced some big teams in the winter break which we also played well against. A few good signings this season and it could see us compete in the top half of the top tier. I will be sticking it out here unless a 'big' and 'appealing' job does become available!

Here it was, the final month of the season and we were playing for nothing now. The league table was secured last month and with us narrowly going out the cup against higher leagued opposition we could have a calm run in to end the league on a high. However we wouldn't let off the steam all together. We had three league games left to play and it would be nice to end on a high having run away with the league title this season.


We began the final month at home welcoming Hlucin and running to victory with ease. An own goal after fifteen minutes began the romping before we doubled our lead seven minutes later through Riha. Four minutes later we found ourselves three up as Rein netted. We missed a few more chances either side of the break but did end up adding a fourth when Vojacek netted eighteen minutes from time.

A second home game on the bounce saw us welcome Sokolov and we netted four again in another confident showing. After just eight minutes when Pilik netted confidently for us. We were two up twenty minutes later when Cerny grabbed a rare goal as we continued to dominate. We were three up at the break as Suchanek netted eight minutes from time. Second half we conceded within six minutes of the restart but it didn't knock our confidence as we added a fourth with Suchanek's second of the evening with three minutes to spare.

We ended the month and season with our most impressive victory of the season as we went into party mode. We traveled to relegated Pardubice and claimed a very inspiring five nil win to finish on a high note. We took the lead in the thirty ninth minute when Rein netted and he added his and our second on the stroke of half time to make it two nil. We even forced a third before half time when Sedlak jumped highest from a corner to nod home confidently. Second half we laid off a little before Rezek made it four nil with nineteen minutes left on the clock but it was that man Rein who took the pundits with his hatrick goal to make it five nil in the final ten minutes.


The final league table looks like this as we ended up running away with the title come the last few months. Since the winter break we've been almost unstoppable which saw us open up a fourteen point gap over second place Zlin who managed to claim the second promotion spot. Most missed out as they finished third just a point off of second place, at the other end Taborsko and Pardubice go down and out of league football here in Czech Republic.

The final month was brilliant for us Shedender! I can't see us winning anything this upcoming season however stranger things have happened!

The season had come to an end and we had made a very good year of it. My first ever here in Czech Republic had seen me win the league and now promotion. We still hunted down the other three trophies available here. Here we will review the season expectations from the board for the new year as well as the financial situation and the friendlies set for us this summer.


Our promotion last year was fantastic and the board have rewarded us for that with a strong financial backing. However they only expected us to avoid relegation, well thats what we will aim for. Only two spots in the league will go down so I am hoping we shall survive that. On the financial side the board have given me over two and a half million to spend on transfers and budging the wage budget up to forty six thousand, thirty thousand more than we are currently spending.


The financial situation at the club just continues to get better as our balance continues to grow. We sit on six point six two million pounds in our balance which is fantastic for us just being promoted. Our budget as already discussed sits at two point four three million whilst our wages can go up to forty six thousand. We are under spending on the wages by thirty one and a half thousand, loads of room for improvements!


I have given us a very challenging pre season for us to try and cope with the new players coming in and going out to improve the squad and get them use to the formation. We begin with a trip to Germany to face 1860 Munich. We will also face Augsburg away from home, Victorian Pizen, Austria Wien and Zaglebie Lubin. We will face Chanovice at home and then end pre season with a trip to Dun.Streda.

Pre season has come and gone and it wasn't too much of a hassle for us. We went into it with confidence and already with a decent squad however with the transfer budget and wages I was given I wouldn't turn down any players that had the chance to change the club. We also faced a number of pre season friendlies where we didn't really cause an upset at all and struggled.


On the verge of the transfer window opening we said goodbye to three players as they weren't up to standard at the club and we released them on free transfers. However with that we had the chance to strengthen the squad. We signed five players this summer and spent a total of three point one million as we tried to put together a squad capable of surviving relegation this season.


I am very confident with our defence this season as we have a strong keeper however no back up which I am still looking into as well as having a very strong back line. Three strong centre backs available. Two strong right backs and two strong left backs meaning we don't need to worry too much on them. Midfield is a little weaker, we still need to try and improve the centre of the park. Upfront we seem to be very strong as Rein, Kaspar and Cerny all proved their worth last year and I'm confident they can do it again.


With all that money spent this summer our budget has taken a slight hit and we now have just over three million in the balance which is still a nice amount for a recently promoted side that has spent three million in the summer transfer window. We don't have any transfer budget left however are still under spending on wages by fifteen thousand should we find any decent free transfers!


Friendlies really didn't go to plan for us as we started very poorly. The first game saw us lose three nil to 1860 Munich before slipping to a three two defeat against Augsberg and a three nil defeat to league opposition Victorian Pizan. We picked up a strong point in Austria against Austria Wien but returned to losing ways against Zaglebie. We finished with two wins, against lower sides as Chanovice and Dun. Streda.

Unlucky with the preseason form, however I'm sure you will be able to turn that around once the season starts! Looks like your putting together a good squad as well for the season. Good luck!

Pre season wasn't brilliant alec, I thought we would of tested ourselves a little more than that! Our squad looks strong but I know we are still a little way off the quality of some of the teams in this division.

Another pre season done and dusted meant we were another pre season closer to England. However our main priority laid here in Czech Republic. With promotion we needed to try and get off to a comfortable start here in the top tier and with just one game in the month of July welcoming Mlada Boleslav we had to try our best.


The only game of the opening month saw us welcome Mlada Boleslav and we opened the season with a narrow win. We were behind after just eight minutes as things got off to a bad start however come the break we managed to pull level with Rein netting his first of the season. Second half and sixteen minutes from time we took the lead through Rein's second and just two minutes later he secured his hatrick and gave us a three one lead. Mlada Boleslav tried to fight back with a goal three minutes from time but the win was ours.


As pointless as it is here is the league table after the opening game. We are one of eight teams who got off to a winning start as there wasn't a single draw on the opening day. We have the leading goal scorer in the league thanks to a superb hatrick from Rein. However it won't all be this easy,

Off Topic:

Incase anyone did wonder, Hajduk went on to win the league for a third year running in the 2028/2029 season. Meaning when we broke Dinamo's twenty one year grip of the title in my time in Croatia in 2026/2027 season they haven't lost it since. So Hajduk are clearly on their way up!

We had got off to a very confident start here in the Gambrinus Liga following a narrow win to get our first three points on the board. However we knew we couldn't get ahead of ourselves it was just one win. The month of August was a more challenging one as we faced five games. Four in the league before we would round off the month with another attempt at the Posty ceske pohar as we began in the second round.


Despite making a winning start we couldn't make it two wins in two as we fell to a harsh defeat as we traveled to Banik Ostrava. Despite starting well we did find ourselves behind after twenty minutes following a defensive error. Come the break we found ourselves two behind but playing good football. Second half we managed to pull one back when Kaspar netted but it wasn't enough.

We then returned home to welcome Teplice where we saw out a four goal thriller which ended with both sides taking away points. We started poorly and were behind in twelve minutes but three minutes before the break thought back level through Rein. Two minutes after the restart we found ourselves ahead as Pilik struck home a perfect free kick. But it wasn't to be our night as Teplice netted again to take home a point.

As we traveled away to Bohemians 1905 we managed to return to winning ways as we secured a narrow one nil victory. The only goal of the game came through Kaspar after just sixteen minutes as we looked to keep some good form going now.

We made it two wins on the bounce as we traveled to fellow promoted side Zlin and battered them with a comfortable four nil victory come full time. Kaspar was our star man as he put us one up inside the opening five minutes and doubled our lead before the twenty minute mark. We added a third before the break with Pilik getting on the scoresheet. However it was all about Kaspar as the second half began and he secured his hatrick with our fourth!

And as we traveled away for the second round of the Pohar ceske posty we faced Slavia Prague who knocked us out last year. This year round we managed to ease to victory and into the fourth round. It was a perfect start for us as we led through Cerny. We conceded ten minutes later but moments before the half hour mark we restored our one goal advantage as Cerny added his second. Second half began and we remained confident and played good football which saw us go three one and then four one ahead as Cerny grabbed his third and fourth of the evening! We conceded a goal late on but a four two victory saw us through!


We are much more competitive than I thought we would be so far in the league this season as we sit way up in second place despite being threatened for relegation. It certainly isn't anywhere near over yet and it will continue to get tougher but for now we can enjoy the high life of the top division. We trail surprise league leaders Sigma Olomouc by three points but sit in joint second with Brno. Fellow newly promoted side Zlin sit rock bottom without a single point on the board as of yet.

The league was going very well this year and we were certainly far above our current predictions for the season however we still couldn't start banking on this. Another month has come and gone and over September we managed to once again course an upset as we faced two different competitions. The league gave us four games as well as us facing the third round of the Pohar ceske posty third round.


September began confidently as we turned on the style in the second half to grab all three points. Despite a quiet first half we got ahead when Riha netted eighteen minutes from the end. And even that wasn't the end of things as we managed to grab a second three minutes from time, this time Cerny on the scoresheet.

We managed to continue our unbeaten run as we faced a second home game on the bounce welcoming third place Jablonec. A tough tie saw either side capable of claiming the points. We took the lead after just seventeen second with Pilik grabbing the opener. Jablonec netted nine minutes later though and this proved to be the final goal of the game, ten minutes in and it ended one a piece.

We then traveled to league leaders Sigma Olomouc where we surprised everyone as we came away with a stunning five nil victory. Riha put us infront after twenty two minutes with the only goal of the first half. Second half we improved and Kaspar netted his first of the evening four minutes after the restart. With half an hour to play Riha had his second of the day before Kaspar secured his brace with twenty minutes to go. With both strikers on a hatrick it was down to Kaspar to net his hatrick coming thirteen minutes from time.

We then managed to make it two five nil wins on the bounce as we sailed into the fourth round of the Pohar ceske posty. We traveled to non league side Dobrovice and were ahead after just three minutes to please the fans as Kaspar netted. Resek made it two before the break. Second half we continued to play our good football and three more goals came, the first from Dvorak before Cerny got on the scoresheet and then substitute Pribyl managed to make it five nil.

We ended a good month remaining unbeaten stretching our unbeaten run to nine games in all competitions as we traveled to Dukla Prague. Cerny may have got us off to a good start after twenty one minutes but it wasn't going to be all three points for us as Dukla Prague netted in the second half.


After nine league games we are still over achieving in the league as we sit way up in fourth place and only a couple points off the top spot. Viktoria Pizen now sit top on twenty points with Jablonec sitting second a single point behind along with Sigma Olomouc. We sit fourth along with fifth place Slovan Llberic with us both sitting on eighteen points and doing very well so far.

We were continuing to overachieve in the league and our cup dreams were still alive and kicking and despite us falling slightly behind in the league we are still over performing. October was quite a short month with just three league games as well as the first leg of the fourth round of the Pohar ceske posty.


We had a tough opening game of October as we welcomed Slavia Prague but we put in a solid performance to come away with a single point. We lead after twelve minutes when Pilik put us ahead with a confident strike. However as we conceded a goal either side of the break it looked like we were going to blow it. But we held on late and a goal in the final minute from Dvorak saw us claim a huge point.

We went three without a win as we traveled to Slovern Liberec. We weren't at our best and this showed in the first half as we failed to score whilst the home side managed to net twice. Despite us grabbing one with fifteen minutes to go through Rein we were unable to grab a point.

As we returned home we finally picked up our first win in four and it proved to be an early goal that sunk Sparta Prague. A goal after seventeen minutes from our trusty striker Kaspar saw us manage to pull off a surprising win and take all three points.

We ended October away to Mlada Boleslav, the side we opened the season against winning three two. However this time we came away with a better victory in the Pohar ceske posty first leg of the fourth round. A brilliant second half showing saw us take our chances. Pilik gave us the lead eventually with just eighteen minutes left on the clock before we added what could prove to be a vital second as Cerny netted six minutes from time.


We are up to twelve league games played now and we are continuing our good run in the league as we continue to sit fourth in the table. We now trail leader Viktoria Pizen by four points now as well as second place Sigma Olomouc. We sit three points off third place Sloven Liberec. The league is definitely tight and our cup run is still on, so a chance of European football come the end of the year is still on!

November was to be the last football we play during 2029 so you could understand that I wanted the team to end on a high. It was going to be a big month for us and we needed to try and continue to perform to our best to keep upstaging the 'bigger' teams in the league. We went into November trailing league leaders by four points and sitting down in fourth. November gave us five games to contend with. Firstly we would face four Gambrinus Liga games before ending with the second leg of the Pohar ceske posty fourth round as we searched for a spot in the quarter finals for a second season.


The final month of competitive football this calender year saw us welcome Viktoria Zizkov. We started well as we led after just five minutes through Kaspar. We found ourselves two up within half an hour as Rein managed to slot past the keeper.Before the break we were three nil up with Kaspar's second of the day. After the break we did concede one through a lack of concentration before Umoh nodded home to seal a four one victory.

We then faced league leaders and traveled away to Viktoria Plzen and fell to defeat. We started slowly once again and we fell behind when Viktoria Plzen going ahead before they netted a quick second. Moments before the break we managed to grab one back when Riha netted in injury time. Second half we conceded two and were almost out. Rein pulled one back for us but we were poor.

We sorted our form out when we traveled to Pribram as we managed to return to winning ways. It was just a once goal game which went our way. The only goal came after just nine minutes as Riha managed to find the back of the net to guide us to all three points.

We ended the league campaign for this calender year on a high as we recorded back to back wins and back to back clean sheets as we traveled to Mlada Boleslav. Another pleasing performance saw us go ahead after sixteen minutes when Rein netted once again for us. We waited till the second half to add a second when Kaspar broke free twelve minutes from time to double our lead.

We returned home for the final game of November and the calender year or 2029 as we welcomed Mlada Boleslav, this time in the second leg of the Pohar ceske posty fourth round.We already held the lead from the first leg and the second leg we just had to hold for at lest a draw. We concede on the half hour mark and were sat behind. Second half we managed to pull back level through Rein. We advance to the quarter finals for the second year running.


We've just gone past the halfway stage in the league now and are still very competitive with our over exceeding expectations to date. We are up to thrid in the league table and whilst the league leaders are starting to open a gap we are looking for a surprise spot in Europe. Viktoria Plzen sit clear with thirty eight points, seven ahead of second place Sparta Prague and us in third place. We only have a single point over fourth place Mlafa Boleslav who we just knocked out the cup and two points clear of fifth place Jablonec.

heh..two days off and you have already won Druhá liga and very good first half of the season as well as cup. Plzeň will be very tough opponent! And could you post a screenshot of Gambrinus liga past winners from 2012/13 season till the present, please?

Ah two days off too many Miimaa! Glad you caught up, we eased to the Druha Liga come the end and are doing very well in the Gambrinus Liga! Our cup run is into the same stage as we were last year too so hopefully we can advance this year! Of course, I will add the league history to this update!

The winter break was upon us and it was one where we faced a hatful of friendlies but no transfers. I decided the squad were doing very well in the top tier and it didn't feel like we needed to upset this by adding more players to the squad. However here is the friendly run down.


Firstly the financial situation is beginning to take a huge hit here in the top tier. We aren't making as much money as we were last year and our balance is now down to just over one point five million. A budget which we will need to work on next year. We've reportedly lost nearly three and a half million so far this summer however our wages are still well in tact with plenty to spare.


A very good winter break for us saw us play plenty of fixtures and perform really well for us. We faced ten games over the winter, some at home, some away from even our own country as we tested ourselves. However we only lost twice, whilst drawing three and winning the other five. Striker Kaspar was among the goals all winter whilst we only managed to keep three clean sheets.


Mainly for Miimaa but also anyone else who is interested in the past winners of the Gambrinus Liga. Unlike Croatia and Dinamo's rain, no one side has claimed the title year on year and it has changed hands plenty of times. Viktoria Plzen have won it nine times, including winning it twice, three times in a row. Sparta Prague have won it six times whilst Slovan Liberec have won it three times and last but not least, last years winners Mlada Boleslav won it once.

The winter break was very good for us and we now returned to competitive action to round off February. It wasn't a huge, busy return either as we faced just one league game. We would welcomed Banik Ostrava and try to return to action where we left off, trying to earn all three points...


Only one game in the returning month of competitive football we welcomed Banik Ostrava and we managed to pull off a surprise two nil victory. We began strongly as we took the lead inside eleven minutes when Rein slotted home an early opportunity. We didn't wrap up the win until late on in the second half. Kaspar, the man in good form in the winter break saw him add our second one minute into injury time.


With one win in the league from our only game in the returning month we managed to jump up to second in the league table and narrow the gap at the top. Viktoria Plzen lost their return game whilst we won to jump to second and then closed the gap to just five points to try and keep our league title bid on track.

It's nice to see the top flight hasn't been dominated by one team, unlike Croatia before you took over.

You're still doing tremendously well for a newly promoted side, only five points behind Plzen and still in the Czech cup too. KIU.

Thanks for the league history, but I am a little bit disappointed about Slavia Prague (my favourite club) that they have never appeared between the top 3. Anyway keep it up and good luck.
Btw. when I played FM11 I have managed 2.liga's side Caslav (provincial club, predicted in the bottom half of the table); in a first season we won the promotion and we managed to win Gambrinus liga in the season we were the freshmen. So it is not impossible for you to win this season already. And did you know that Gambrinus is a brand name of beer produced by Pilsner Urquell?

Indeed it is good to see it Shedender! We are still close to Plzen however looking at their history of the league trophy its highly unlikely we can do it now!

Not a problem Miimaa, always happy to show extra screenshots. I was shocked to, however then I was more shocked when I saw this. Slavia Prague were relegated just a couple of seasons ago! Ah sounds good, gives me a little bit of hope but we shall see!

We are still technically in with a shout Benniewijs however I can't see it happening personally!

Following a successful winter break and a successful game back into competitive football we looked to get back into the swing of things as we faced five games. Three away games along with two homes games for March would see us try and keep up the pressure on the league leaders.


We began the month confidently as we traveled to Teplice where we started confidently grabbing a goal after just five minutes through Pilik. Twenty one minutes in we managed to grab a second and turn into sailing mode as we dominated following a goal from Rein. Second half we conceded one but were safe with all three points.

Our only defeat of the month came as we traveled welcomed Bohemians 1905 who proved to be too good for us this time. A poor showing from us saw us go behind in the first half and concede a second during the second forty five which saw us slump to a two nil defeat.

It didn't take long to get back to winning ways as we welcomed the leagues bottom side Zlin where we grabbed a one nil win. We left it late to claim all three points as the one goal game neared an end before we won it. With ten minutes remaining Kaspar knocked the ball in.

As we traveled to Brno we felt slightly hard done by as we slipped to a one all draw. We conceded a penalty on the half hour mark where we slipped behind. We claimed a draw with thirteen minutes left on the clock as Kaspar netted again for us but it was a dubious penalty we gave away!

We ended the month on winning ways as we traveled to fourth place Jablonec with another narrow one nil victory. The only goal of the game came moments after the restart as Rezek managed to jump highest from a corner and managed to net to secure all three points.


We have slipped down to third place in the league but have kept the close gap on the league leaders Viktoria Plzen. The league leaders now sit on forty nine points with Sparta Prague sitting second with forty seven points. We sit third still five points behind the leaders on forty four points and fourth place Jablonec sit two points behind us. Who have a fourth point gap over fifth.

We had now slipped away from the league leaders a little but had kept our cup run on track in March. However we knew the season still had two more big months before we could finally relax. In April we faced a busy seven games and at this stage of the season could be costly as we need to try and stay at our best. With games in both the league and the Pohar ceske posty we knew it would be tough to keep our good form going.


The month started with one of three consecutive games against Dukla Prague. We welcomed them in the Pohar ceske posty quarter final and the first leg was a six goal, goal fest. We were behind after just seven minutes and moments after the half hour mark we found ourselves two down. It looked even worst eight minutes before the break! We were three down and sinking! Luckily a small hope came back when Suleiman pulled one back and a goal in injury time from Rein brought us back in contention. We managed to snatch a draw with twelve minutes to play as Rein added an all important second.

And as we welcomed them in the league clash we were set up for an eight goal thriller! This time we were the side to take the lead with Riha netting after twenty minutes from the spot. Three minutes later Dukla Prague leveled however not for long as Rezek put us back infront on the half hour mark. We added a third on the stroke of the break with Rein netting. Dukla Prague began the second half better as they pulled another back but we improved again with Kaspar grabbing our fourth and Rezek netting his second and our fifth. Dukla Prague did net a third but it was too late as we crossed the line with the win.

The second leg of the Pohar Ceske posty and the third clash on the bounce against Dukla Prague saw us travel to them and win in a much quieter game. With the two games totting up fourteen goals between them we were somewhat surprised when we came away with just a one goal win. Kaspar was the man to grab us the win and send us into the semi finals with a fiftieth minute goal.

Returning to league form to welcome Sigma Olomouc and we were given a hiding. We may have lost concentration a little too much on it as we were hit for five. We never really competed in the game as we conceded two before the break and conceded another three in the second half saw us slip to a five nil defeat!

A second at home on the bounce saw us welcome Slovan Liberec and luckily we got back to winning ways as we snatched a narrow one nil win. The only goal of the game came just six minutes from time as Pirbyl, on as a substitute managed to nod home for us.

Then it was time for the semi final of the Pohar ceske posty and the first leg saw us travel to Jablonec which would be a test for us but one we relished. A tough game saw us take our chances and go into the second leg with confidence. Pilik gave us an early lead after just five minutes to get the fans hoping for a final. Second half we won it with twenty two minutes left on the clock as Kaspar doubled our lead, advantage us!

We ended the month traveling to Slavia Prague where we once again slipped up, not the best ways to end the month. A poor first half saw us behind after minutes and come half an hour we were two down. Slavia Prague continued to dominate into the second half adding a third before we kicked into gear. Kaspar netted twice for us to bring us back to three two behind. We went on to concede a fourth as Slavia Prague put the game beyond doubt.


With just four league games left of the 2029/2030 season it now looks very unlikely that we will make the top spot however we were never expected to. We only wanted to save ourselves from relegation and we have more than done that. We aren't out of it for sure as we sit third, trailing Viktoria Plzen by nine points however would require a big slip up by them and second place Slavia Prague who sit seven points ahead of us! However we are still alive and kicking in the cup semi final, with one foot already in the final!

It's been a remarkable season in the top flight of the Czech league and I'm pretty sure you'll secure a European spot this season and possibly the Czech cup too.

Technically we are Shedender but its not going to happen as I have backed up all the way this season, but its still been a pleasing year! A European spot is almost certain for us this year, we don't need one and could probably do without it but the extra revenue will do the club wonders! And we are still alive and kicking till the end in the cup!

The final month was upon us and finally we could look towards the end of another good battling performance from everyone associated with the team. However we couldn't relax just yet. I wanted my players to be aware they were fighting for a top three finish and with the cup still available we had to have our mind set correct. Three league games and a potential two cup games for the final month of the season.


Unfortunately we kicked off the final month on a sour note, recording back to back defeats as we traveled to Sparta Prague. A win could of seen us close the gap a little but it wasn't to be. Despite up taking the lead after just five minutes through Riha we shortly fell apart. Conceding a sloppy goal before the break and a second after the break as we slipped to a two one defeat.

And it was three defeats on the bounce as we welcomed Jablonec in the second leg of the Pohar Ceske posty semi final. We led on aggregate two nil going into this game but almost threw it away. Their strike after half an hour brought them back in it, but we managed to hold out at a one nil defeat and despite losing, advanced to the final.

Four games without a win it became as we welcomed league leaders Viktoria Plzen however we did play them very well! We fell behind before clawing one back before the break through Kaspar. Unfortunately it was to be another sour day though as we conceded after the break to confirm we couldn't win the league.


The cup final came around and with us on the back of four games without a win we needed something special! And it went all the way to penalties. The game itself was entertaining and we took the lead after just fourteen minutes through Pilik as it looked to be our day. However seventeen minutes from time, some poor marking in the box cost us and it went back all square. Extra time was played through without either side finding a winner and it came down to the shootout. We were fortunate in the fact we put ours away and our keeper was on top form! We had done it! Four one on penalties, we ticked off trophy two here!

This boosted our league form as we finally picked up a win when we faced our last home game welcoming Pribram. We did it for the fans and what a performance it was. We took the lead through Pribyl after seven minutes and five minutes later were two up as Cerny found the net. Pribram battled hard to pull one back before the break. Second half it swung our way again as we added a third through Sedlak nodding home a corner and finally Kaspar getting on the scoresheet to make it four.

We ended the season away from home and popping into June as we traveled to Viktoria Zizkov. A game we really could of done with winning ended all square come the end. We were awful in the first half and this saw us two down by the break and sinking. However a superb second half saw a turn around and us claim a vital point. Rein was our man on form as he netted twice in twelve minutes to end the game at two all.


We managed to maintain our third spot in the league come the end of the season to mark was has been a truly wonderful season to be in charge of. We mounted a serious title bid the whole way through our first season back in the top flight which was very pleasing. We may have ended fifteen points off the league champions Viktoria Plzen and twelve points off second place Sparta Prague but in truth it was a very good season for us. We scored the third most in the league whilst our defensive record wasn't brilliant, we did very well.

Anyway another lesson of Czech language ... Česká pošta means Czech Post (and before this, national cup was held under sponsorship name Ondrášovka Cup - they produce a mineral water, so...)
There will be tough duel at the Supercup final against Plzeň, good luck.

Thanks Miimaa, was a great season for us, shame we couldn't win the league but as I said we weren't good or strong enough this year, hopefully its a morale booster for next year! The cup victory we got lucky, we should of lost it judging on our performance but we held on! Thanks for another interesting Czech Republic fact! The Super Cup certainly won't be an easy tie!

The season was over and done with and now we can focus on another new season which was up and coming but before that we had another pre season to battle through and it was sure to be another hectic one. Here are the boards expectations for the new season, the financial review, a bunch of friendlies that have now changed as well as the Cesky Superpohar draw!


Following our wonderful season last year the board haven't gone back on things and have made their intentions clear once again as they expect us to try and make another bid for European football come the end of the season. They haven't back this with as much financially as they did last year but this year we don't need as much improving as we needed to the past couple of years!


Following our great league finish and winning the cup, along with qualifying for the Europa League this year we are definitely back in the black and nicely as we sit over two and a half million pounds up in profit again this year looking on to the new year. A small budget of just under nine hundred thousand for transfer and already spending over the wages we need to make a few changes.


We had a training camp up in Austria where we faced FC Redbull Salzburg along with UFV Thalgau with a long line of other friendlies including a big clash at home welcoming English side Newcastle. However some of these fixtures have changed due to the Cesky Superpohar draw!


Here is the all important Cesky Superpohar draw which will be huge for us this summer as we look to kickstart the season with a bang. The cup win allowed us to compete in the competition which we will look to win however have never won so must push on! Our opponents will be league champions Viktoria Plzen as they didn't lose against us on the last four times. A new holder will be crowned!

The summer has been and gone and it was another busy one for us, whilst our European bid hasn't kicked off yet we still had a busy run in to make several transfers in and out of the club to improve the main eleven as well as a busy pre season fixture list ended by the Cesky Superpohar. It was a fairly decent summer and definitely alot of good parts to take out of that.


Here are the summer dealings in and out which was quite reasonable considering the money we had to spend and what we did with it come the end. We brought in three players, the first a new keeper, Renivaldo has signed to be our new number two whilst we brought in two loan deals and are still looking at a couple more, we have currently spent just seventy seven thousand pounds. On the other side of things we sold two players which saw us make three quarters of a million which helped up out massively.


The squad report is looking very strong for another season and with the media tipping us for another top five finish we certainly are looking good. Renivaldo could make the number one spot as him and Kral are both fairly well rated. Our defence is looking strong as we managed to hold onto leading centre back Umoh and Suleiman whilst Sedlak kept his spot. Our midfield is looking strong whilst we could do with a new attacking right midfielder and my hunt for a new striker isn't up just yet.


Our financial situation has strengthened over the summer as we earned money on transfers and through away friendlies which has really helped us out. Three point two million in the balance along with half a million still sitting in the transfer budget should we know it. With some of the transfers changed into wages we now have eleven thousand pounds to spend on new players for wages alone.


I believe the Cesky Superpohar only rearranged one pre season game this summer which didn't affect us to much. We faced five games which challenge us whilst we picked up two wins, two defeats and one draw. Picking up a nil nil draw against Newcastle was fantastic for us. The expected easy victory against UFV Thalgau saw us claim an eight two win fantastically.


The Ceske Superpohar wasn't to be this year for us. Despite a very close final Viktoria Plzen managed to escape without defeat against us for the fifth game in a row. We fell behind after just thirteen minutes when striker Ales Krejci put the league champions ahead. We nearly conceded a second four minutes after the restart when number one keeper Kral saw himself nearly net an own goal. However we did concede a second in the second half, once again Alex Krajci netted to make it two nil as they secured the win.
