Good preseason and some good signings made! That 8-2 victory looks like some of your players had some fun! Good result against Newcastle too, must have been the fact it was in the Czech Republic, at St James Park they would have thrashed you

Thanks alec! It was a good pre season and the signings have definitely made the squad look a lot stronger than it first did! The eight two win was amazing as was picking up a draw against Newcastle!

The opening month of the season saw us round off July with just one game this month. Following our dizzy heights of last year with us winning the Pohar ceske posty and finishing third in the league it was important we got off to a decent start. We started against Banik Ostrava in a game which wouldn't be easy.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/K7yBaKhjyqaBINxBAvjesQQsH57CijHV8yzQ2xHe.png

The opening game of the season and only one in July saw us start at home and welcome Banik Ostrava. A seven goal thriller began with us on the back foot as we conceded after just ten minutes, however it didn't knock our confidence and nine minutes later we were level when Kaspar netted his first of the season. We found ourselves in the lead moments before the half hour mark as Riha netted before we added a third come the break as defender Sedlak nodded home a corner. After the break we continued to battle on and we added a fourth as Rezek netted three minutes from the restart and we even made it five one when Suchanek netted after coming on at half time. We conceded six minutes from time but held on to a huge opening day win!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/eZIkzJwkCTEF7FYWufj6S9Dw3aPtJfI9eWX9DLsO.png

Another pointless showing of the league table but after one game we shoot up the table and sit second again this year after the opening game of the season. Sparta Prague stormed out the pack with a four nil win to sit top whilst our goal difference of plus three was good enough to go second. Two draws unlike the opening month of last season where everyone won/lost,

See, I said that you wouldn't win the league.

I suppose you're happy with the third place finish and cup success and rightly so but it's a shame you couldn't win the Czech Super Cup this season but I'm sure Plzen were clearly the better side?

Shedender your nothing but a liar! But third in the league and cup success was a very good return to the top flight for us. Not too worried about losing the super cup, it was a good performance from our players for our first ever appearance in it. Viktoria Plzen are a very good side!

A very good start was made in the league with our five two victory over Banik Ostrava left us sitting high in the league. Now we went into August facing a very big month with two different competitions to compete in. We faced five Gambrinus Liga games along with two qualifying Europa League games as we searched for our first ever appearance in the Europa League group stages.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PtwAYybtPMV78I2FqrEMIBYHEoLvdbTqEgf2eiG5.png

We traveled to Teplice and managed to start the season with back to back wins as we led after just four minutes with Kaspar confidently knocking home the opener of the month. We had to wait till the second half for our second and to put the game beyond doubt. Six minutes after the restart Rein netted low and hard to secure the win for us.

We managed to record back to back clean sheets as we returned home and welcomed Bohemians 1905. The game was over after just eleven minutes as both goals came in that time and nothing else happened. Rein gave us the lead after eight minutes before Kaspar netted three minutes later as the two were once again teamed up well to perform that.

We made it three clean sheets on the bounce and four league wins as we traveled to Brno. A quiet game saw us take the win with just a single goal proving to be enough. Kaspar netted for the fourth time in four games as his strike seven minutes before the break won it.

Our first ever appearance in the Europa League didn't quite go to plan. We were drawn against Steaua as we traveled to Romania. Not a bad game but we were poor in the first half as we slipped two behind early on and conceded a third before the break. Luckily second half we were gifted a penalty with Cavallo netting before we conceded a fourth. Rein netted in the last playable minute to give us a second away goal and give us hope for the second leg.

Luckily our league form didn't take a huge hit as we returned home and welcomed Jablonec who sat third, a position behind us. We managed to take the lead after just ten minutes as we took no time to get going with Rein guiding us into the lead. And it was Pilik who added the all important second goal nine minutes after the restart as we continued our perfect league start.

The second leg of the Europa League playoff second leg and despite trailing four two we turned it around to claim a sensational three nil win on the night to send us to the group stages. Dvorak made it four three on aggregate with the first goal of the game after twenty one minutes with the only goal of the first half. We had hope and with just under half an hour left on the clock we were level on aggregate with a goal from Cavallo. We went and won it three minutes later as Riha made it three nil on the night and five for on aggregate! We progressed!

We traveled to Dukla Prague for the final game of the month where we finally lost our unbeaten start to the league. We were poor and this saw us two down at the break and struggling to find anything. With fifteen minutes remaining of the second half we grabbed a goal through Umoh from a corner but it wasn't enough!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NGz8Ea0phl4x1BLCUMQ62YaDnV6ARAPbCNM1ZHJ1.png

We've made a storming start to the league season yet we still don't sit top! Sparta Prague are the side to have made the best start to the season with five wins and a draw. They sit top on sixteen points with us close behind on fifteen. Jablonec also sit third with fifteen points level with us. Mleda Boleslav sit in fourth with thirteen points and Slovan Liberec have twelve points in fifth.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NW1xObkd0UbrvkTvfQtUbMrMdAqZ0dJs3eZkEyI1.png

Having made it to the Europa League group stage we have been dealt a reasonable group however we are so much weaker than these teams we probably don't stand a chance. We were fourth seed and got drawn with third seed Austria Wien, second seed Everton and first tier, German giants Schalke. Its a group we can learn from and just for featuring we've made almost two million!

We were flying up in second following a very good start to the league season. With a defeat ending our early unbeaten run to end the month it was important we picked up immediately in the month of September. It was a tough month which saw us face five games coming across in three competitions. We faced Gambrinus Liga action, Europa League group A action and Pohar ceske Posty action, could we cope with it all?

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/stdXcC4g8I7ukcyUNwvfGrgGD2scVPsIBQvXgk0m.png

We began the month in the Pohar ceske posty second round where we traveled to Touzim and ran out easy winners. We took the lead after just twenty minutes through Cavallo before Kaspar doubled our lead in injury time of the first half. Second half it continued to be all us as Riha made it three and Vojacek came off the bench to make it four. We finished the game with Cavallo's second as a five nil win sent us into the third round.

The first game of the Europa League group saw us welcome Austria Wien and came up just short. Despite us thinking we could grab something a goal four minutes from time was enough to sink us and dump us to defeat.

And this affected out league form as we slipped to another defeat to make it back to back league defeats. We traveled to Slavia Prague who haven't been their best the past few seasons but they did enough to secure a win over us. A single goal in the first half was enough.

We then traveled to Pardubice in the Pohar ceske posty third round and it went into the luck of shootouts to send us through. We were expected to run riot but it didn't happen. We were behind early on and leveled eight minutes after the break through Rezek. It went to penalties where we claimed a four two victory but we weren't at our best.

We ended the month back at home and back in league action as we picked up our first league win in three games. We welcomed Sigm Olormouc and narrowly escaped with all three points. We took the lead after twenty four minutes as Riha put us infront before he grabbed his and our second moments before the break from the spot. We conceded one in the second half and saw one against us ruled out and maybe fortunately held on to all three points!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/iLg8K7ryZRDwxXYxCqwgVSASkjdv9O7bg9Y8FWOQ.png

We are still in good competition in the league table which sees us sit down in fourth for the time being. Sparta Prague continue their fine form as they haven't lost in the opening nine games. With twenty two points they have Jablonec right on their heels who have the same points. Mlada Boleslav move to third on nineteen points with us fourth on eighteen points. However we have a game in hand as do Sparta Prague so we could potentially move up to third.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FDlCmHuP3iZJaBuscPjbt0KLtjHXjN9bI52uNiOX.png

The group stage has started and it wasn't the brilliant start we had dreamed of. We may of thought we could of won against Austria Wien but unfortunately came up short which saw us lost one nil. This sees us sit third after one game in the groups whilst Austria Wien sit second and German side Schalke go first with a three nil win over Everton sending the English side to the root of the table.

So our Europa League form wasn't brilliant to kick the groups off but our opening few months in the league and hopes of retaining the Pohar ceske posty was well on the cards now. We headed into October with another busy month of three competitions. Three Gambrinus Liga games, two Europa League group A games as well as the first leg of the Pohar ceske posty fourth round!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/sTMR7GU81GZfh9Ycedm5wEoFfcSbh6AxVNnY0x4x.png

The month started on a positive as we traveled to England to face Everton. A tough game on paper but one we played very well in. We were ahead after just three minutes as Solar netted a perfect free kick up and over the wall. Unfortunately Everton spoiled our party as they netted in the second half, but we still grabbed a point and just over eighty thousand pounds for that.

We returned back to Czech Republic and back at home we welcomed Slovan Liberec in the league and we managed to continue our fine league form. We took the lead moments before the break through an own goal and this boosted spirits. Second half we netted after five minutes with Sedlek nodding home a corner before we wrapped up a three nil win through Kaspar.

We then traveled to league leaders Sparta Prague, a very tough place to go to and with them dominating the league early on it was a big game for us. We coped very well and despite going behind in the first half, managed to battle a draw late on. We equalised a minute into injury time when Umoh nodded home a corner.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/TyyeelXcNNfQhPQrI8Ynf53KFWlPJZSlppoWU601.png

A busy month of traveling then saw us travel to Germany to face the hardest opponents in the group, giants Schalke. A big milestone it was too as we faced my six hundredth game in management! A very good game saw us lead after half an hour through Rein before conceding moments before the break. And after the break Schalke played good attacking football which saw them go two one ahead. However another late goal saved us, this time two minutes into injury time Kaspar stole a huge point for us.

Back to Czech Republic and on the road we traveled to Pribram and a strong second half performance saw us battle to three points. We took the lead in the fifty eighth minute through Jurcik before Pribram were reduced to ten men. We went on to add a second and claim the win when Dvorak managed to score for us.

We ended a busy month away to Slovacko in the Pohar ceske posty, the Liga 2 side were expected to lose and we narrowly claimed the win. We led after six minutes through Solar before Jurick doubled our lead after twenty four minutes. Before the break we conceded one and it was game on. We restored our two goal lead with twenty minutes to go as Rein looked to put the game beyond doubt. However Slovacko didn't go down easily, they pulled another back with ten minutes to play but we held on for a first leg win.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/vpSv0rlHZl91dqH3j9XpEloloJhgqzxmhtbWiAJ4.png

We are now fast approaching the halfway stage in the league and things are still very tight between the top four teams. Sparta Prague stay top of the table as they move onto thirty points whilst Mlada Boleslav sit two points behind in second on twenty eight points. Third place Jablonec also have twenty eight points whilst we sit fourth having played a game less but have twenty five points. A win would see us jump to second as we'd have a greater goal difference.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/lrDWkVQDtdGcekwTWwzg7ovFBi3AI52hUjBTC75c.png

We now have two points in the Europa League group stage after two cracking performances against giants Everton and Schalke. We may not be on course for qualifying but we were never expected to and if we could keep a top three finish I would be very happy.

We needed to continue our unbeaten form from October and take it into November as we battled through a long hard month once again in the three different competitions. A busy month indeed saw us backed up with seven games in just four weeks as we battled it through. The Gambrinus Liga gave us five games as we looked to close down league leaders Sparta Prague whilst we had a single Europa League group A game at home and a home clash in the second leg of the Pohar ceske posty fourth round.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/viaKm1kMQXgnqkarquDbgmXx5cyNhdBOEgA6JjfG.png

We began the month in league action welcoming last years league champions Viktoria Plzen where we smashed five in. We started slowly conceding in four minutes before we dragged back level through Rein. However come the break we trailed two one. Second half we came out fighting, leveling through Rein before Kaspar made it three two. Rein secured his hatrick late on before Kaspar netted his second in a very good five two win.

Our only Europa League group A game of the month saw us welcome German giants Schalke and already shocking them once grabbing a point they were in for another shock. We managed to turn them over here in Czech Republic. We led through Solar after twenty two minutes before going two up later in the second half. We conceded one in the final ten minutes but held on strong to a huge three points!

A third home game on the bounce saw us welcome Opava and the newly promoted side were struggling but put up a strong fight against us. The only goal of the game came seven minutes before the break as Umoh nodded home a corner to earn us the three points.

http://i.imgur.com/aerM4zC.png

We traveled away to face another newly promoted side. It was to be another milestone for us this game as I approached my one hundredth game in charge here at Ceske Budejovice which is the longest I've been at any club. This time we traveled to Hradec Kralove who have started this season so well. It was set to be just another one goal win and it went our way again as we kept back to back clean sheets. Our winning goal came twenty one minutes before the end of the game as Kaspar netted.

We stretched to three clean sheets on the bounce and keeping our unbeaten run in tact as we traveled to Mleda Boleslav as we smashed a two nil win. A goal either side of the break managed to be enough for us. Rein gave us the lead after nineteen minutes and the game was rounded off twelve minutes from time when Kaspar netted as the partnership continued to grow.

Our final league game of the month saw us travel to the leagues bottom side, struggling Banik Ostrava and we slipped to a poor defeat. A very poor start from us saw us two down inside ten minutes before we finally pulled our finger out and started to play some decent football. We grabbed a goal in the second half through Kaspar but were starring at defeat come the end.

We ended the month with the second leg of the Pohar ceske posty fourth round tie and we welcomed second tier side Slovacko. We already lead three two from the first leg and this time we managed to snatch a draw which was enough to put us through. We were behind after half an hour and trailed throughout the second half. Luckily we grabbed a late equaliser to go through as Siegl came off the bench to secure our spot in the next round.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PnYRLi3EB4VG6NNwoCEGK38OA8xOyVF5hVpQdg6d.png

The league table has seen a drastic improvement for us and should we have ended the month with a win over Banik Ostrava we could of been level on points with Sparta Prague. Instead they remain top on forty points with us sitting second on thirty seven points. We have a two point gap over third and fourth place Mlada Boleslav and Jablonec respectively whilst fifth place Dukla Prague are fifteen points off the top spot and ten points off fourth place as they begin to slip away. Last years champions, Viktoria Plzen sit down in tenth!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/WSghBKnMP6A7jsUFNKORpK4CCR9DGR4DTZN6HSIX.png

Four down in the Europa League group stage and with just two games left to play, both the only games in December we could make a late push into the next round should we pull off a couple of surprising results. We still have to travel to Austria to face Austria Wien and welcome Everton who remain bottom of the table. We just need to give it our all and maybe Schalke could slip out the qualification spot.

We haven't played a game in December over the past few seasons but this year I have an update for December as we are still alive and kicking in the Europa League group A. We only faced two games in December and this would round off the group and with an outside chance of still qualifying we felt quietly confident we could cause an upset following our recent home victory over Schalke.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/khGoGudG7Gbjc7SDgIvPsY4AJsYcGfRQils3bjea.png

We began by returning to Austria where I would visit Austria Wien, a team I've faced many of times when I began a few years ago now. But we played very well to grab a win. We led after just two minutes through Umoh as he nodded home a corner brilliantly. We added our second on the twenty sixth minute with in form striker Rein getting on the scoresheet. Austria Wien came back into the game in the sixty third minute pulling one back but we were home and safe.

We went into the final group game in third, facing the groups bottom side Everton. A win would see us go second only IF Schalke beat second place Autria Wien in Germany. We did our fair share of the deal as we completely outplayed Everton and smashed home five in possibly my most pleasing victory of this career to date. We raced into the lead and after twenty minutes grabbed the goal when Riha netted and then he found his and our second just two minutes later. before half an hour was even played we were three up with Rein netting as Everton were sinking fast. After the break we added a fourth through Kaspar before Everton pulled one back with half an hour left on the clock. But any doubt of throwing it away was lost as Riha confirmed his hatrick twenty minutes from time.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/5ZrGyQGs9mWpGSISFISW7ftoVFr5MaL8om3mWTdO.png

We had done just enough thanks to Schalke! A superb final three games of the group stage from us saw us beat all three of the group teams and this propelled us up to second place as Schalke beat Austria Wien on the final group game. This sees us rewarded with another financial boost as well as head towards the next round whilst Everton embarrass England by finishing on just a single point!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/MTQsOh2lLb0jp8Zpvocpw7Vy4qQ5KT6aeS2th98T.png

We've been rewarded with a rather nice tie in the Europa League first knockout round. Following our surprise progression we went into the hat and have been pulled out against another well known side to me. It will involved another trip back to Austria. We will welcomed SK Sturm Graz for the first leg before traveling to Austria for the all important second leg, a tie I am confident we could win!

You won't have a chance against my Sturm Graz ! Kiddin..... but good results for you. Difficult to get the title if every year there is another big contender for the title. Hope you can further close the gap and bring the title home. Good luck with it.

Haha the draw against Sturm Graz was a very kind one to us Benniewijs and after beating Austra Wien I feel we could do them over. The title will be hard to achieve but we are sure to run Sparta Prague right the way to the end this year and hopefully they slip up!

Having played later into December than usual we went into the winter break later however this didn't stop the usual winter break plan. I left the players to relax with their families during the rest of December before getting back to busy friendly action over January and February before returning to competitive action. We eve had a single transfer deal happen this winter.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/WmGr3SKOTr0AOL8JVAnuBKAbYKJHxKIl9ApJtoMR.png

Nigerian defender Promise Suleiman has left for league rivals Dukla Prague after a very nice offer was made. The centre back had only made four appearances this season and was valued at just over quarter of a million. However when I turned their bid down, telling them I wanted a million more they offered it and we had no choice but to accept. This takes our transfer income up to two million for the season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wJGAHVeWRFVqF07c1JoR31Lq7Rytxk4GjsdDr542.png

Our budget has been brilliantly refined as we sit almost five million back in the black as we are continuously on the rise up now. Europa League football has certainly improved the clubs budget over the last few months as we've made almost four million pound profit already this season. We still have under a million to spend should we need it and have a great sum of wages spare should we need it.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/zuIyPyp6QVRmHBnw5aNnmDDTh01uzZtk3jSwjzHU.png

And life on the pitch during the winter break was just as pleasing as life off of it. We faced a busy schedule ten friendly games across a couple of different countries. We traveled to Austria and Germany as well as faced some big home games and the main fact of pre season is that we stayed unbeaten. Our ten games saw us win eight and draws just the other two. We kept five clean sheets which was very impressive.

Great success in Europa League, I know you can beat Sturm Graz and progress to the next leg; and I am very happy that the Czech club is the one you have been in charge the longest period so far. An unbeaten Sparta will be very tough opponent for you, very tough spring indeed. KIU

Thanks Miimaa! Its been very good for us this year in the Europa League and the financial reward we are receiving from it just spurs us on more! I am surprised that Ceske Budejovice has become the longest side I've been in charge of in days and matches played! Catching Sparta Prague won't be easy, they are on fire this year but we will just continue to battle through and see what happens!

The winter break had gone very well and despite losing a centre back through a very nice money making deal we looked very good through the friendlies. Now to cap off February we kicked the ball for the first competitive time this calender year. We ended February with three games. Both legs of the Europa League first knockout round were played either side of our only Gambrinus Liga game.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uoGUz1ownx4kerRskDfXvYvj5pcg4fRA0l23BKYr.png

We returned to competitive action in the Europa League first knockout round and the first leg drew us at home welcoming Austrians Sturm Graz. It was a very good performance for us as we raced into the lead after four minutes through Rezek whilst we quickly went two nil up within twenty minutes. That was the only two goals of the game, meaning we kept a vital clean sheet at home.

We traveled to Bohemians 1905 who we easily beat in the winter break but slipped to defeat in the only league encounter we faced of February. The only goal of the game came from the home side after sixty seven minutes as they done enough to sink us.

We ended February back in Europa League action with the second leg of the first knockout round and despite holding a two nil win we almost blew it! We led on the night after twelve minutes when Sedlak nodded home for us. After twenty four minut Sturm Graz forced a comeback with their first of the two legs. However we quickly restored the comfortable lead when Rein netted. Sturm Graz weren't lieing down easily and come the break they led three two on the night but still trailed four three on aggregate. Sturm Graz added a fourth goal on the night with ten minutes to go, making it four all on aggregate but we had two away goals, they couldn't find another goal and despite a heavy four two defeat, we advanced into the next round!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PjzdMWPkhglmc0K17RQWLZfrVxIT5nYBfPBUlreE.png

Its all about to get a lot harder now as second knockout round of the Europa League has drawn us against Ukrainian giants Shakhtar. Shakhtar have won their league seventeen times in the last twenty one seasons and have won the Europa League once back in 2009. They are going to have to be trusted and we are going to try our best with the first leg at home before traveling to Ukraine for the second important leg.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/LJ8PYjWSZ72ipodGo255qvwMlZwtGgtKGa0dIgJ4.png

Sparta Prague open up a gap again and remain unbeaten as they stay top of the table and move to forty three points, holding a five point gap over second and third place Mlada Boleslav and Jablonec respectively both on thirty eight points. We sit fourth now on thirty seven points, trailing unbeaten league leaders by six points. Dukla Prague remain off the pace in fifth with twenty eight points.

A good winter break and not a bad return to competitive football despite losing our league games last month. We advanced in the Europa League which saw another financial boost to the club. March gave us a busier month as we faced six games in the two big competitions. We'd look to shut Sparta Prague down a bit with four Gambrinus Liga games as well as two Europa League second round clashes.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/pK6Fc5CwCZJ6S8GOv349b1b4c06aCouFCa03c8ES.png

We claimed our first win in the league this calender year as we welcomed Teplice and ran out narrow winners in a one nil game. Riha claimed all three points for us with a goal seven minutes from time to see us keep up the pressure over the league leaders.

Back to back wins and clean sheets were confirmed as we welcomed Brno in a second home game on the bounce. A very pleasing performance saw us dominate from start to finish to claim the points. Rezek gave us the lead after twenty minutes before Kaspar doubled our lead eight minutes later. The win was rounded up in the second half as Rein also got onto the score sheet.

As we traveled to third place Jablonec we knew it would be a tough game but still came away with the points in a narrow five goal game. We were behind after nineteen minutes but quickly drew level through Soler before falling behind from a spot kick three minutes before the break! Second half we came out fighting as Soler added his second to bring us level before Kaspar wrapped up the win with fifteen minutes remaining.

We returned home to welcome Ukrainian league holders Shakhtar in the second round of the Europa League. A tough game may of seen us take the lead after twenty one minutes through Rezek but come the break we were back on level terms. And Shakhtar added a second away goal in the second half to take away a two one victory.

Our league action took a small hit when we welcomed Hradec Kralove and we almost blew it. They were much better than us early on and a goal a few minutes before the break gave them the upper hand before adding a second with half an hour to go. A late spur of energy was seen as we pulled one back through Rein with eleven minutes on the clock and three minutes later he has his and our second to earn us a point!

We ended the month in Ukraine as we faced Shakhatar for the second leg of the Europa League second knockout round. We already trailed on aggregate and weren't expected to pick up anything in the second leg. This proved to be right as they netted three goals before we grabbed one in the final fifteen minutes with Kaspar netting for us. But we crashed out, meaning we can now focus on league action!

Sparta Prague have finally lost this season! But they still hold a more than comfortable lead over us but have Mleda Boleslav breathing down their necks now. Sparta Prague have fifty two points with Mleda Bolesav sitting second just two points behind on fifty points and us up in third trailing the league leaders by five points. We also hold a two point gap over fourth place Jablonec with Dukla Prague now sitting eighteen points from the top in fifth place.

You can still get the title. The biggest problem is that you have two contenders for the title. They both have to make mistakes and you can't anymore. Good run in Europe. To bad it ended. But it was no goal so nothings lost there. Good luck the last months of the season.

It was very good for us to advance Zan2k9! We were never going to beat Schalke really but we did do very well to get as far as we did. Hopefully Sparta Prague will lose confidence now and crash down!

Thanks Benniewijs! The league race is on and as I said we do really need to try and put pressure on the top two and hope they slip up! Your right, the Europa League wasn't important so we don't mind going out of that, it allows us to focus on the league for the final two games!

As March saw us crash out the Europa League it would allow us to focus on the one trophy that we could play for this season now that we actually needed. The League title. With Sparta Prague beginning to slip up we knew if we could put a good month together then we could come back in it. However still two different competitions, three Pohar ceske Posty games as well as four Gambrinus Liga games to try and close the gap.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/AojOZJo9U69MfHRtkAsdlbpoGQhkhHOnKDfYmyF4.png

We began April in Pohar ceske posty action with the quarter final as we welcomed Opava. The game was very tight and the first leg was won by just a single goal. We netted after twenty seven minutes with Kaspar netting the only goal to give us the advantage.

At home in the league we welcomed Dukla Prague who are falling away from the top four and we made our differences seen as we smashed in three in the final thirteen minutes! We took the lead through Jurick with thirteen minutes to go before he netted his and our second forty two seconds later! We wrapped up the win in the only minute of injury time as Kaspar found the net.

The second leg of the Pohar ceske posty saw us travel to Opava and with us already leading one nil all we had to do was play out a draw away form home. We did more than that as we stretched a two nil win on the day. Riha had both of our goals in the second leg. He put us infront after eighteen minutes from the spot before doubling our lead two minutes after the restart, from another penalty!

As we traveled to Sigma Olomouc where we managed to throw away a two goal lead with a poor performance. We led after just two minutes through Pilik who also had out second in the twenty fourth minute. However Sigma Olomouc hit back from a spot kick before the break and went on to nod home a corner in the second half which gave our title hopes another huge hit.

As we returned home to welcome Slavia Prague we returned to winning ways with a very good victory. Suchanek gave us the lead seven minutes before the break with an impressive solo goal. Second half Rein doubled our lead to make us in full control before we even added a third when Pilik struck seven minutes from the end.

The Pohar ceske posty semi final drew us against second place Mlada Boleslav where this time we came back from two down to steal a draw away from home and put us in good shape for the second leg. We conceded twice in the first half to put us on the back foot. Second half we netted after ten minutes when Soler struck before we equalised through Jurcik seven minutes from time.

We ended the month in league action as we rounded off a brilliant unbeaten month in all competitions. We traveled to Slovan Liberec where we snatched a one nil victory to close the league table right up. The only goal of the game came through Suchanek with his second of the month as he netted six minutes after the restart.

With five games to go Sparta Prague have lost their top spot which they've held all season and just three points separate the top three with eight points separating the top four! Mlada Boleslav now sit top with sixty points whilst Sparta Prague slip to second on fifty eight points, one point ahead of us in thirty on fifty seven. Jablonec still sit fourth and are just eight points off the pace. As I said, just five games to go and with us still having to play both at home, the title race is still on!

As Benniewijs said, the title is possible to get, but you must stay unbeaten until the end of the season and hope that Sparta will make a mistake. GL
Shakhtar was off your limits, but nice duels.

I'm very surprised to see Viktoria Plzen down that low, didn't they win the league just last season? You're doing incredably well and still in the hunt for the league title. KIU mate, you're very close to making off another trophy in the Czech Republic.

Thanks Miimaa, the title race is still alive and we will play it out till the end! Shakhtar were too good for us but hopefully I done the Czechs proud in getting past the group stages of the Europa League and into the second knockout round!

Thanks Benniewijs! You say exciting, I say nerve racking!

It was a great run indeed for us loscules22 just a shame we couldn't go further however Shakhtar were too good for us! Viktoria Plzen just aren't the same team they were last year when they won the league title. The Champions League past winners can be found here

Viktora Plzen are struggling this season Shedender and I think its fair to say its not a season like they had last year! Still in for the hunt for both the league and cup so a domestic double is still alive!

We went into May and it was set to be a huge month. The 2030/2031 season was on the verge of coming to an end and it was set to be a brilliant end. The final month would see us face fave Gambrinus Liga matches as the title race came down to this with just eight points separating the top four. We also faced the Pohar ceske posty second leg of the semi final against Mlada Boleslav.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/sCx4ztTHpZq5GmDMhU6On3ox833w1QrUTCyv36RO.png

The month began with us welcoming second place Sparta Prague knowing a win could see us jump to the top with the right results elsewhere. It was to be despite us taking the lead after thirty seven minutes through Rein we went on to concede a second half goal which left it at one a piece.

It wasn't to be our season in the Pohar Ceske posty as we slipped to a defeat in the semi finals. Despite us already holding Mlada Boleslav to a draw in the first leg, we just weren't as good in the second leg. We may have put out a weaker side and didn't need the cup however a second half strike saw us fall to a defeat.

We went three without a win as we traveled to last years league winners Viktoria Plzen who were struggling this year. A goalless game saw us share the points one a piece but it wasn't to be a good performance, we were lucky to escape with a point!

We finally returned home and returned to winning ways as we welcomed Pribram where we were lucky once again. We were almost behind early on as we gave away a penalty which our keeper confidently saved. We added the only goal of the game in the second half as Dvorak managed to find the net for us.

The penultimate game of the season saw us welcome Mlada Boleslav the league leaders. A good first half saw us ahead after twenty four minutes through Rein whilst twelve minutes later we were two up and cruising when Dvorak doubled our lead. We conceded a second half goal and were on the back foot for the game but we held on to a huge three points!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wEYZvJ7T7NoPPLd0gCel4y5h7I2I44rb31QW47tq.png

This left the league table looking like this going into the final game of the season! Just two points separated the top four sides. Sparta Prague won the Pohar ceske posty over Mlada Boleslav so now hold a Europa League spot for next season. They are top on sixty six points with us a point behind in second with sixty five joined by third place Mlada Boleslav also on sixty five. Fourth place Jablonec have had a storming final month and now sit just two points off Sparta Prague in first on sixty four points.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EkpYVA93Vbx2yoEwKg6zucaSy6R6fmZbq8PLINM1.png

The final game of the season saw us travel to Opava who were already relegated so we felt confident. We went on to claim a win late on. We fell behind after just half an hour as Divecky scored direct from a free kick as they held the lead at the break. Second half we forced a comeback as Umoh nodded home a corner with half an hour left on the clock before a penalty in the final minute of normal time was converted by Jurcik to potentially gift us the title!

Elsewhere third and fourth place met each other. Mlada Boleslav welcomed Jablonec where they recorded an easy three nil home win. This meant they were still in with a shout of the league title whilst Jablonec were out of it. Sparta Prague welcoming Slavia Prague in a huge rival match which ended goalless!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/gRXf52fbiDWIoDNZrWYsT881PF1jpaQGfiyh9Klw.png

The final day saw Jablonec in fourth stay there, third place Mlada Boleslav jump to second with Sparta Prague dropping from first down to third...meaning we were the champions moving from second to first on the final day. It was a thrilling end to the season as just four points separated the top four come! We had only finished ahead of first on goal difference by +2. Sparta Prague may have easily had the best goal difference with ease but they find themselves ruing the draw against us in the first game of the month as it cost them. At the other end Banik Ostrav were relegated!!

It was the best season ending I've ever been involved in Benniewijs! If I was to be on the side with Sparta Prague it would of been awful! One more to go for us!

Miimaa I think the Czech Republic Gambinus Liga could possibly be my most favorite league of all times! What a season we had. Sparta Prague will be very hard for us indeed!

What a superb end to the season, clinching the title away from three other teams and winning it on goal difference has now left us with just one trophy avoiding us here in Czech Republic. We came back off the end of season break with the board releasing their new expectations for the season ahead, the financial situation and the friendlies and games we have over the summer.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/WIbUWcWzujXnGXpVZf2062HPwqPGflfb4hxNCfoe.png

Firstly the ever ambitious board are at it again as we have plenty of money on hand and have to try and meet their expectations to meet their needs of Europa League football once again. The board have given us three point two million for new players in transfer fees along with just under fifty thousand pounds for wages again this year. This will give us plenty to spare for the new season.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/X9pRv1x2HIuVJWoQBO7WThvS7M4BtF5W7uqP0DRT.png

The balance is at its best its been since I arrived at the club a few years ago with six point six million holding in the balance along with half of that available for transfers with three point two million available. We are currently spending twenty seven thousand pounds of the forty nine thousand available in player wages leaving us a fine difference of twenty one thousand to add some quality to the squad.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/z1cwSzDMu4joP2oe9iz0duSzXw3N5wN0cs8koaS6.png

The Cesky Superpohar avoided us last year as we lost out to Viktoria Plzen who ended up having an awful season last season. This year we will face Pohar ceske Posty winners Sparta Prague who led the table for most of the season, blowing it at the end to us. Hopefully this will be the year for us and we can head into Denmark! But we won't get ahead of ourselves just yet!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/jCCHA8ejPjSmOzWcZ85FIntOlVgjWbsGDEyfvysF.png

This is what our summer schedule looks like on the pitch. We have four friendlies which is all we could fit in and they won't be easy as we travel to Stuttgart and SK Rapid along with two home games against Jablonec and Chievo which will all test us. We also have the Champions League second qualifying round as we will face Welsh side TNS. In between the two Champions League clashes we will face the Cesky Superpohar clash with Sparta Prague which is at home!It

The summer transfer window and friendlies are still in full swing so this update is to report back on both legs of the Champions League second qualifying round against TNS as well as the cup that evaded us last year, the Cesky Superpohar. A big three games for us.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/eV8HFNqnmxwC6xCOWdZ7RPIqnKYp221uDXdAtA3E.png

The first leg of the Champions League second qualifying round saw us travel to Wales to face TNS! A tough place to go saw us play good football and take the lead eight minutes before the break through Fabio. We conceded in injury time of the first half to bring things back level. Second half we showed our power as Rein netted ten minutes after the restart and Umoh nodded home a corner in the final nine minutes.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/zKQyykR7JcIRWOECUXBd7hcIqsE3VyuVjZom3DWb.png

The Cesky Superpohar was finally ours at our second attempt! Last year we missed out in a two nil defeat this year we claimed a two one win to claim the final trophy I required in Czech Republic. Our free scoring full back Sedlak gave us the lead with a fierce low shot after just nine minutes from twenty one yards out to send the fans into raptures. However on the twenty first minute Sparta Prague were back level with Lukas netting a tidy finish inside the box. We netted the final goal of the game just eleven minutes before the break to end a action packed first half as Rein netted confidently as he did so many times last year! Czech Republic...done!

I even played out the second leg against TNS as I felt it was in my honor to do so as I had stayed as Ceske Budejovice longer than any other club. So the second leg of the Champions League second qualifying round saw us welcome TNS and already holding a three one win. This was my one hundredth and thirtieth game in charge of them. It was a brilliant game to as we comfortably won five nil. Kaspar gave us the lead after five minutes before Hovorka doubled our tally five minutes later and come the break we were three up through Gimenez. Running riot we made a few changes but continued to score for fun as Riha netted six minutes after the restart and Rein also found the back of the net.

Czech Republic was now completed and this only left me one thing to do and that was step down from my job here at Ceske Budejovice and it was a hard job to step down from having taken them from the second tier to the top, winning all four trophies. I will run down the details of the time I've spent here as well as my overall details as well. Here is the reviews to date.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/DJqT0IPW57qsxRJjf5uzX1T4QrF7ZeVieALtuWNZ.png

As I said a few days ago, Ceske Budejovice are the club I have spent the most time at. I have been here at Ceske Budejovice now for three seasons I believe and one thousand one hundred and seven days. Playing one hundred and thirty games, winning eighty five, losing just twenty five and drawing the other twenty. Scoring two hundred and seventy three, conceding one hundred and thirty five giving us a positive goal difference of one hundred and twenty eight and a win ratio of sixty five percent.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/DxGPaQw1Glco9HQtP70giYWdoJCOT9tbQnXkPya9.png

And with a heavy heart it was an emotional goodbye to Ceske Budejovice and shortly out of Czech Republic. A very good time here at the club and here in Czech Republic as a whole. Two league titles and two cups title being the domestic cup and the super cup has left us with the time to remember here.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/al7eozkNSIomFTbvinQLGvn9LKF1crIMSgV3zhO0.png

Here are the manager and player statistics from my time in this whole career. We have now managed eleven sides with the longest lasting one thousand one hundred and seven days which was the latest job here in Czech Republic. Shortest was with Antwerp for two hundred and ten days! My manager is now a millionaire having earned one point three million. We've brought fifty eight players costing us up to fourteen minutes now and have sold thirty one making twenty six million. Releasing fifty players to date!

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Tycx4D68A7jAPwCsnG45ucBa5P50rJCdgOQhsteS.png

And finally...the on the pitch stats. In my time now I've seen my teams play six hundred and thirty six games with us coming out on top as winners in three hundred and eighty, drawing one hundred and nineteen with us losing the other one hundred and thirty seven. This gives us a tidy win percentage of fifty nine, keeping it above half is the main goal! We've scored one thousand one hundred and fifty three goals, conceding seven hundred and twelve with us having a positive goal difference of four hundred and forty one. The trophy cabinet speaks for itself!

And onto Denmark I go!
