Terrible Match Engine

Is it just me that has noticed the extreme change in match engine in 13? Everything just seems slow and broken. Players seem unable to sprint at times and often just stand still. Top midfield players giving the ball away constantly with rubbish 5 yard passes and to top it off 75% of mine and the AI shots are long shots in every game.

Why change what was not broken SI? I played FM12 up until last week and thought id treat myself to FM13. What a horrible decision.

For me the FM13 match engine is vastly superior to FM12 with far more movement,much greater variation and more "real" overall. To be at it's best you ideally need players with 2 good feet and set movement to "fluid" or if you have exceptional players "very fluid",otherwise play can appear to be a little static at times with less competant players tending to dribble aimlessly and lose possession often. If you subscribe to the Premier League you can view matches and see the kind of movement and variation that is possible.

The ME is a lot worse, hopefully it'll be much better in the next ME update.

Apsolutely the same here+any team I took couldn't save a clean sheet because my goally and defenders are completely brainless.

Curious to what the more seasoned FM players who have been playing for 5+ years have to say about the match engine?

I play alot of FM and just can't believe how much I have been put off playing it.

I've not been a huge fan of this version but I don't think it's that bad either.
