So the countdown has begun on the Beta for FM20, what's everyone's first save going to be?

Mine is 1 of 2, I'm either loading up all Scandinavian countries and aiming to do win all of the top divisions or I'm doing a Hall of Fame career, where I start unemployed and try and top the worldwide hall of fame, am leaning more towards the hall of fame save first. Hardly ever have England loaded on my saves any more,so tend to stick to European countries with the MLS loaded too.

What's everyone else got in mind?

I've got an MLS save planned with FC Cincinnati, who finished bottom of the real life MLS by just the 10 points...

Edinburgh City, AIK, Bristol Rovers, Liverpool and probably 1860 Munchen or Holstein Kiel until I can have a dabble with Aachen.

Can see my first save being with Arsenal, didn't want to as can get boring quickly but I simply cannot take anymore of Emery's decisions in real life at the moment so he's gotta go.

Always with York, and likely creating a new team where I'm based now when the database gets down to about level 10-11, tradition and all that! Never done big saves, can safely say on FM19 I didn't manage a single game in a league higher than League One, never seen the appeal of it being honest, to me FM has always been building from the lowest point with my beloved club but everyone's different!

Probably Leicester in the BETA, then full release drops it'll be Blackpool of course. As the year drags on, I'm sure I will either venture to a big team on harder times like Chelsea or my usual drop down into conference north/south.

Will also be keeping an eye out for any challenges too

Do you live in York? As I do. I'm same as you, tend to stay away from big leagues, until I'm a few seasons in

That's a varied list. You'll be waiting for added databases coming out for all of those though apart from Ukraine.

Ahh got ya, they're doing well at the minute, top of the league still, they've got the new stadium as well. Hope they get back to the football league eventually, they're too big a club at the level they're at. I met Steve Watson not so long back, genuinely nice guy

Blackpool are the team I'm toying with using the beta, I'm glad Oyston has gone, that club was going nowhere under him so that's why I wanna give Blackpool a whirl.

In an unbelievable vein of form, 17 unbeaten I think it is now? Genuinely the best football we've had since Worthington took us to the L2 playoffs, and that was some fantastic football with players like Matty Blair and Jason Walker running amok.

As always I'll do a United save with the Beta and then I think I'll try my hand at managing St Pauli, think with the changes in regards to club goals it'll be a fun task. After the winter update I'll probably go on and do a unemployed journeyman save.

Celtic for the Beta and then it's over to Germany for a long term save with Greuther Fürth.

I'll also be picking up a save with Newcastle at some point.

How we all finding it so far?

I've just managed to get all of my work finished and everything downloaded to give it a good go over the weekend. I hate to say it - but I think my Beta save will be with Man United as it could be an interesting challenge, the squad is pretty set to at least be competitive and it's a job I'd never start at in a full version. Quite excited actually!

I'm thinking of using the touch version to start a game, purely for speed of play. Plus the main feature announcements have been added and also rumour has it finally this will be the year that it has an editor

I'm not sure, but you can continue to play your safe from beta version in the full version right?

In the BETA I'm just messing around with Liverpool, to get to grips with the games ins and outs.

Then Yeovil are my main save for this years game.

I'm currently managing Bayern Munich. It's going decently well, sitting second in the Bundesliga midway throughout October and just a point behind the surprise leaders in Freiburg. Just made the two signings - Phil Foden arrived on a season loan from Manchester City and I also parted with £13.5m to capture Erling Haaland from Salzburg and he's been solid thus far (currently out for 3 weeks) - he's bagged 9 goals in 8 Bundesliga games.

The main save when the actual game comes out is going to be with Notts County.

Has anyone scored a bloody 1v1 yet on this game?!

Nope. Not that I can recall anyway, but I don't think I've seen the AI score a 1v1 either.

Have to say I've not really noticed a problem with them, though shooting from ridiculous angles instead of crossing is a different story...

Yes! Messing around with Everton in the Beta and have had players shooting at goal from the bye-line, even though they are level with the post rather than pass to an open player in the box waiting for a tap in. I know players can be a bit greedy but seems ridiculous!
