Welcome to the first challenge for this years game, there will be 10 in total which will take us up to the release of FM21.
You've probably already guessed how this one works, simply take over the club bottom of the Premier League and do as well as you can with them. To make things a bit easier for you I have given them a large cash injection of £350m to the transfer budget, plus a £4.5m wage budget, so you can throw money around as you wish.
You've been quite lucky with the club as it's Southampton, I have removed all injuries and bans, plus called back the majority of the squad who were on loan for you.

Relegated - 0pts
17th/16th - 5pts
15th/14th - 10pts
13th/12th - 15pts
11th/10th - 25pts
9th/8th - 40pts
7th/6th - 50pts
5th - 60pts
4th & above - 100pts (no chance!)
Finish with a + goal difference - 20pts
FA Cup Q-Final - 25pts
FA Cup S-Final - 50pts
FA Cup Runner Up - 75pts
FA Cup Winner - 100pts
Rules
To try to prevent cheating there is a maximum amount of saves allowed which is 8, this will help against save/reloading after defeats!

Sorry only just see this, yeah it's a lot more interesting with the money. Once you're out of January (looking for players) it doesn't take long to get through it either.

Quick question though - is there any limit on what your management level has to be - historically we have always had to have min rating.

Manager should already be set, just load the save and play
Also I prefer to have it set to at least the level of the club as can become very hard if your players have little respect for you and also becomes moredifficult signing players.

Just a basic 4-2-3-1 at the minute, very much plan to tweak it when I'm next playing - gonna need a miracle!

Thanks to a good run of form from mid-March we managed to stay up though, gaining me a whole 15 points for my 12th place finish! That's it though...
For those interested, here are my transfers in:
Barbosa the best signing, don't know how @VP. only spent £20mill on him though! Edouard started well but faded, and Van den Beek was pretty consistently good too.
Worst signing was Bailly, did not play well and kept getting niggles - Vestergaard and Bednarek were better.
And my outgoings make even less interesting reading:

We ended up avoiding the bigger clubs so I'm glad we reached the final, even if we did need replays to get past both Bradford and West Brom.
