Keeping up with Shedender and Dan - If it's not to late!

After the second place last year it tasted like more. With Bate and Dinamo Minsk I had two huge rivals for the title. The last one is in real a Rival and each match is hectic with lots of cards in it. My squad was getting pretty strong already but I felt like I needed some more. Mainly in the midfield I had to bring some experience. I found that in Sivakov. Had traveled a lot in Europe (Italy and Belgium) and was on his way back to his country of nature. With Marcus Vincius I found a diamond I guess. A great striker. Strong and scores a lot of goals. Pyatigoris is my new Goalkeeper. For Ly I can say the same as for Marcus Vincius but he is my new lead central in defence. Gabriel on Leftback and Wojchiekowski right on the midfield. In the winter break I also brought in Pedro Oldino. He is almost done with his career but he wanted to score some more goals for me. The other players are talented back-ups with grow potential. I also needed to unload some players. Not for much money. I also loaned my talented goallie to Partizan. To give you an idea my squad was like this after the transfers. Pedro Oldino is not on the screen. So I think I took it to early before he signed or to late after he retired. Happy with the first half of the season. Only 4 draws (and one in Euro), but I couldn't get grip to BATE this season. Second half of the season was something worse but not much. Still couldn't beat BATE and lost once to Dinamo Minsk but with 4 losses and 4 draws it was not bad. Only BATE was special this season. Unbeaten and 7 draws they were a real champion. If I had won 3 times from them I still was 1 point short to claim this title. But again I was qualified for Europe. At one hand it feld like a lost year but on the other hand my team was stable. My topscorer Pedro Oldino is retiring and Marcus Vincius is ready to take his place. The only thing I really missed was a fast second striker who scores a lot of goals. This season only one striker scored for me and the other goals were from the wings and tall players at corners. Will invest in that next season.

Another try for the title. Last year was good but not good enough. Arthur is the fast striker I was looking for. And one good thing he is from Belarus. He played in Brazil somehow but I brought him back home to bring me the needed extra goals. Most of the other players I brought as back up since the other back ups where moaning or something. Three players where different. Hao Junmin is an experienced rightwinger and for the money I couldn't resist to bring him in. On my leftwing I brought Pintinho. Last season the leftwing was sometimes underperforming and I sold as I see it now the best leftwinger last year. Matheus I brought because my board sold Marcus Vinicius because the money was to high to resist. I think the board wanted money back since I spend so much the last few years. The sold my striker as said, a leftwinger and my goallie that was now ready to start. He hadn't even played a game yet and was sold behind my back. I understand they did but was not happy with it. Most of the other players I didn't need and had to leave to lower my wage bill. A great first half of the season. One loss and one draw against BATE and many goals from Arthur and Marcus Vinicius. It almost sounds like a Roman Comic or something. In Europe I lost my first leg to Panduri. It's not a goal but I didn't feel happy with it. The second leg also lost and Europe was over for me. I also lost one matchto Naftan and Dinamo Minsk and one draw to BATE. So I had only one point less than BATE had last year in there perfect season. I guess mine was perfect too with a goal difference of plus 69 I was really happy. The high league is in the pocket and Arthur was the big man for me. One title down in Belarus and 3 to go. I am still in the cup. I missed it last year. Don't know why but it just didn't start. The cup run is different than the league. It starts in June and ends in May. I also qualified for the Supercup. I almost forgot to post my squad that brought me the title. It is after all the transfers of last season.

After winning the title last season I had to win 2 more trophies with Gomel before I had to focus on the promotion. My squad was almost perfect for Belarus. I just bought 4 more players. Matheus was already bought last season, but also on this report. I don't know why. He is my new striker. Baranets and Fedorov are new guys on the midfield. Paco is a rightback. These are all fresh talents to replace the older guys in the future. Redzovic I brought too as a back up. I only can't find his position anymore. I loaded off lots of players for free and some guys on loan. At the end of the season my board decided to sell a lot of my new players below there real value. Only Pintinho and Kobozev are values I could agree with. Two more centuries. Gomel is the longest club I stayed now and I played 100 matches already. Time flies.... BATE is my main concurrent on all fronts. First the title and now the Supercup against them. Was looking forward to this real challenge. This was a very close game. The scores were 1-0, 1-1, 1-2, 2-2 and 3-2 for me! I had to work for every ball this match and battled to victory. Happy with this cup! After a few months I also played the cup final. It was a long time 0-0 with some chances for both teams. Until I got my striker free in front of goal. Their defender got one thing to do and tackled me in the penalty box. He got red and we converted the penalty in a goal. After that it was easy and we scored another goal. Another trophie down in Belarus! They call it the double and true it is a double. It felt like a triple although. After that I hunted jobs in the First league to fullfill my last trophy in Belarus. The board was not happy with it so I resigned after two more matches. Great season until I left. Only one loss and one draw. Maybe to earlie to say but I dominated the league before I left. I resigned and as I said before my board decided to sell a lot of good players. The core of the team was gone and I can tell u already since its not part of this challenge (and my post) they didn't win the league this year.

Wow well done on another two trophies, looks like you could beat us both at this rate!

After I left Gomel I started to tell the press that I wanted a few jobs to start some pressure on insecure management positions. First one was Gorodeya. I was still with Gomel at that moment and my board didn't mind so I decided to go on with that. DSK was a second option. After that my board was not happy (see last post) and I left Gomel. As said before on other careers this is a nice name and for that good to manage that team. What I learned in the years I do games of this series is that a name alone is not a good base to manage a team. I looked further than that and decided that the team was weak and there was almost no budget to improve this team. It will take years to improve this and to get promotion. In Belarus each year there promote 2 teams. Almost every year this are the same teams. Slutsk (it's a pity) is not one of them. Gorodeya was already my first choice. They have a decent (not good) squad already and most important a budget that is sufficient for some improvements in Belarus. On 16 August I received the expected message and accepted the job. As said before enough room in the wage budget and also some cash to bring in new players. I am happy accepting this job. This season is almost done and I can use that time to make a flying start next season.

Good luck hunting for those last titles

Thanks for the comments. Back in bussiness indeed. I started to bring in 15 players immediately since the squad needed some experience to save this season. Before the start of next season I brought in another 12 players. I couldn't sell to many players and none of them for any money. Some parts of my team are really good. But the gap in defence is a bit of a worry. Need to do something there next season. For people that follow my story there is a known name in Virril Vergeichik.He was my striker at Gomel that didn't score that well. Hope he will do at this level. Some mixed results I had the last few months of this season. 6 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses. Nothing special except I am happy with the win against Slutsk. Finished 11th. Also nothing special. Getting my team ready for next season was my mission this few months but I am not yet convinced my team is. I also got a lot of injuries.

Bought 11 players to strengthen my team. Khomko is my new goallie. Matveev, Branfilov, Kalachits in defence, Markov, Medvedev, Sitkov and Karasev on midfield and Mursalov a new striker. No central defenders since they didn't want to come and I couldn't find others. I sold a lot of players. Most are dead wood as I call it. Almost no money in return for this crappy players. My team is a lot better now, but still not brilliant. It's hard to find good central defenders that are Belarussian. No other nationalities are allowed here. The rest of the team is a lot better than standard and I just have to score more than the opposition. Good season with only 3 losses and 4 draws in the competition. Lost trophy is in the bag. Gonna leave Belarus now. Solid difference with the 2nd placed team. The longest stay of my career was in Gomel. The shortest stay in Gorodeya. I am happy with the goal difference and the win percentage untill now.

After this I directly quit my job here and left for Belgium. Next two updates are Job hunt in Belgium and a flash back to players that became really great after I sold them from my Sturm Graz management period.

Since I saw a few messages in the news I was reminded the team I used to have at Sturm Graz. Some of these great players are now world class. Here I post some screenies of them later in the game. It has nothing to do with the challenge but I think the next time I have this couple of talented players together it must be in England, Spain or Germany.

After Belarus was done I wanted to start immediately in Belgium. I quit my job and looked for vacant positions. I wanted to start at the lowest level since I feel best by that. It gives me time to get used to the country and I find it more fun to get from bottom to top than to win the top first and have to do the bottom afterwards. I filed in 4 job applications. And after this I quit my job at Gorodeya to let the teams know I am free. And immediately without a turn I received this: They must be desperate or they heard about my successes of course. I think they must be desperate. Last place after the first period. With a team (lucky me) good enough to get promotion. I see it as my job to get one period and get promotion right away. The transfer system in Belgium is a bit odd as I know now. in the first half of the season you can sign only free players. In the winter transfer you can sign players for higher leagues. And on the 1st of July you can sign players from your own league or from lower leagues. I signed a couple of talents to improve my squad for the second half of the season but all of them came after the season was finished. At least my squad is ready for next year . The ones I signed for free are talented backups. With Akkermans (ST) and Janssen (RB) the best of them. They play in rotation from the start. This players where all released before I came. Already quite happy with the squad. Not completely balanced though. Must give me a good run to ensure playoffs and maybe promotion. The first period was lost already. The second period we started good but with to many draws after the break and the loss against Tubize this one was lost too. The last period had to be mine. Dream on I said 4 losses and a draw where between me and promotion. Not even close. After the start of the season the 8th spot wasn't even bad but it was less than I hoped for. Now I get my team together for the next season. Already signed 10 players for the next season and I let in total 21 players go to improve my team to get promotion.

As said before I have to write some stories now before I play a few seasons again. I found some new players last season in November but due to the transfer restrictions in Belgium they all join on the 1st of July. Rogiers (GK), Beckers (MC), Guinot (MC), Simonaitis (MR), Yilmaz, (MC) and de Wit (DL) are all ready to start directly. The other players with one great prospect Wiersma (MC and ST) are back-up or talents that are brought slowly in the season. I unloaded a lot of dead wood. I only know Sven de Volder a Goalkeeper that is way over his top. The others are unknown for me. In all line I have some good players and talented back-up. This is the way I like my squad. My Assistant Manager thinks all my midfielders are AM, DM or CM, but some of them are Right or Left wingers. During this season I made another century. I started the season with a lot of draws and some losses. The draws where gone later but still some losses. From 4 December 2012 I didn't loss a game anymore. A great run that brought me the title and the overall Championship. Overall a very good season. Due to a lot of new players the start of my seasons are slow so I wasn't worried by that. The final leaguetable show that it was very close with Tubize this season.
I was promoted but not sure if this team could do back to back promotion. Vise just relegated from the First Division and are favourites for the promotion. The job is free so I applied a the end of this season. If they want me is not sure at the moment.

Must have done something good here. I have enough credit to look at other clubs and they even offer me a new contract. Looking at the squad it sure got a lot of potential and I can win this league in a few years but I think this year is to soon. I am happy that Vise wants me this season. As said before they relegated last year from the top level and this gives me a great opportunity to get them back at once and give me another trophy. They also gave me a nice bag of money to spend to improve the squad some more. Couldn't choose between the goalkeepers and bought three of them Obinna, Tchami and Bertin. Real reason was a good loan offer for Tchami to get some experience. My defence got some strength with Pintus, Jaubert, Janssens Pierre (Loan) and Kone. The midfield got the following players Messaoudi, Willaert, Ademole and Van Looy (back up moaner). My strikers were already good enough and to expensive to improve. In only brought in Algoet a Target Striker really needed in my main system. I loaded a lot of players of the train. Either they were not good enough or already leaving before I came. My squad is good enough for this league. Actually it is good enough to achieve midtable in the top league. Good results this season. The title was easy to achieve this year. I won each period and also the title. I hoped for a perfect season but 2 draws and 1 loss is good enough for me. Another suprise this season was the cup final I qualified for. It was thriller of a game and actually I didn't deserve to win this title. But I won't be moaning about it. Only two trophies left in Belgium. Now I get ready for the next season. Need some more improvements if I want to win this title. Already signed some free transfers that are joining next season.
