Only if it’s against a club who have club specific adboards assigned to them. However, you can switch the xml file with FM open just make sure you swap files before playing you specific match.

Have you modified the xml file? These errors tend to happen if there is an error in the xml file
If you message me the details I'll throw something together
There is a guide on how to add adboards to the game on page 1
If you never used the FM19 version of the patch you only need the full pack. If you used then FM19 patch and copied it over to FM20 then you only need the update pack. The update pack was only created to save people with previous verisons from downloading a 600MB file for 20MB's worth of new content.

....
In your Tutorial Video for Installing your Adboard Patch - you don´t show one Step:
5. Choose your prefered xml file and copy and paste this file over the existing fm.xml file in the football manager 2020/ads directory.
In your "Read Me.doc" File, which is in the downloaded Files, you can read this Step.
For all Users, who want to have Club Adboards, they have to do this Step, right?
rabcp
As the video shows the clubs xml file is used as standard. Therfore, If you want the club adboards you dont have to do anything

Dutch Eredivisie,
English Football League,French Ligue 1, Italian Serie A, Portuguese Primeira Liga, Scottish Premier League, UEFA Champions League & UEFA Europa LeagueSorry but I won’t be adding these, while I appreciate the effort, I would need permission from the initial creators of these files and even then, I would not use them as they are the wrong size and not realistic.
I've no idea to be honest, hopefully someone who has tried this with an ipad can provide an answer.

Amazing work, and when I get paid next I will support this as it must take a massive amount of time. One thing I noticed was BetFred Cup semi and finals at Hampden, seem to show video ads for Arsenal. Emirates, then adidas etc. Have I picked it up wrong, or is the xml file pulling from the wrong place for the Betfred Cup. Thanks again.

I've made a new JD Sports and Pirelli board in the Europe Generic folder.
Updated Carmarthen Town, Bangor City and Wrexham
Made a new Crown Oil for Rochdale and ManUtd.com for Man Utd.
I've also included my fm.xml which reflects the changes to Carmarthen Town.

Thanks for your support. I have just checked this out, for some reason FM is not treating the semi-final as a game at a neutral venue and is loading the 'home teams' ads, if the 'home team' do not have video ads (e.g. not the old firm) then default video ads are displayed instead. If you use the 'no clubs' xml file for matches at neutral venues then competition ads will show as intended.
Cheers mate, I'll get these added
RhylFCKiko
I've again added my fm.xml to reflect changes

Funnily enough after watching today’s games I’m currently updating the FA Cup video ads!
RhylFCKiko
I might look at a few more EFL sides over the coming days. If anyone's requesting, i'll see what I can find
Rich B
Nottingham Forest would be much appreciated please
RhylFCKiko
Forest were already covered mate.
I've done Rochdale, Wigan and Crewe so far to add to what i've already done. I'm covering Northern clubs first because I like the North.
Rich B
Huuuge thanks from me dude
RhylFCKiko
I'll work on a few more clubs, and then release a pack of every club covered so far (and my FA Cup boards)
ArnDaddy
this pack looks incredible, great work. I have been trying to get it to work but so far all the ad boards are showing as FM08. I have made the font the correct size, changed the folder from hd to sd and unchecked the 'takes to website' but nothing seems to work. I watched the video and am pretty sure all my folders are in the correct place.
I am playing in LigaMX but in the CONCACAF Champions League it is showing the FM08 banners too... Any ideas on what it could be that is stopping it from working? Did I need to start a new game?

This occurs when there is an error in the xm file, have you tried to modify the xml file in any way? I have checked the LigaMX and the CONCACAF Champions League and both work as intended.
Thank you, there are Argentine ads within the game, they are in need of an update but as I never play the game outwith Europe they are not a priority for me in all honesty
