Hi,
So i'm at the start of the season and Im getting a good few offers for my star players. Im set up to have the final say to accept the sale or not, I've sacked my director of football as he accepted transfer offers for players i have set as reject all offers. Now the chairman has started accepting offers as well. How do i stop this, i dont want to sell my star players, my club is rich and i have millions in transfer funds, i dont need to sell, i want to strengthen, but my chairman thinks differently......HELP PLEASE

Try setting asking price to 0 and reject all transfers

Try Staff Responsibilities, it seems as though you might have your DoF/Director in charge of offers coming in for players

he says he has sacked the DOF

this could be an issue with the club vision too which has many users not being able to sign players they want
open the editor and see what it says about the club in club vision too
also set the owner/board etc to have 1 in interference

If it's set in responsibilities, sacking your DoF would just mean that the responsibility then falls to your Chairman or another instead

Thought it defaults to you as the manager?
Good point though he needs to check that

I have a meddling chairman (Daniel Levy) and he regularly blocks transfers that don't meet his valuation.  As he's the chairman I can't directly take control. There's two things to do here - first of all, the player will probably complain, at which point I ask the chairman to resolve which sometimes leads to him agreeing to sell.  Secondly I slightly raise the price and offer straight out again - between these two you should hit the sweet spot where the game lets you sell the player.  If nothing works for some time don't disregard loaning the player out with his wages covered - he'll drop off the chairman's radar and the saved wages can be converted in to your transfer budget.

Change your preferences, manager to finalise transfers and under transfer settings click accept transfers meeting asking price

one way to stop players being sold is using FMRTE  you can set the contract to be a date in the future and even if the club accept bids the player will always turn down the offered contract stating he has only just joined the club etc this works even with non league players being offered a contract by EPL teams

Which menu is this in?  I can't find ‘transfer preferences’ or something like that anywhere. All of my Responsibilities in the Staff menu are set to me for signing and offers.  I'm sure the chairman just overrides them when he feels like it as described above.  Or is this part of the initial game setup and can't be changed once the game is running?

in each player you can set a transfer status and give instruction to the DOF

The trigger for this appears to be clubs more than your overall balance. You'll need to have the editor open and make sure your balance is higher than what the bidding team will pay.
