Premier League Statement
April 3rd 2020

Following the latest guidelines put in place by the UK Government the Premier League has come to the conclusion that the 2019/20 season will be voided immediately. The Premier League can also confirm that neither of the 20 Premier League teams that have taken part will be declared as Champions, gain European competition or be relegated.

This comes following talks with other football governing bodies around Europe who will also be taking the same course of action. The 2020/21 season will be put on hold until the global pandemic of the virus COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has come to pass.

The 2020/21 season will be the 2019/20 season refreshed. UEFA will later confirm that the teams who began their UEFA Champions League & UEFA Europa League campaigns this season will be reinstated for the next European season.

We would like to express our thanks to the English Football Association and all 92 representatives of the Football League who have come together to make this unprecedented decision. More details will be available over the coming weeks.

FARKE TO REMAIN AT CARROW ROAD
July 12th 2020

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/sZKHOyO3CfWoTHbXeYOY82Y4NyWO52W3Kme02e1t.png

NORWICH CITY can confirm that German manager Daniel Farke will remain as manager at Carrow Road despite the club’s perceived lucky reprieve from the previous season which was eventually voided due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Daniel Farke’s contract was extended to June 2022 in March 2019 (our record-breaking season in the Championship) and the board wish to continue supporting the man that brought the club back to the Premier League.

The club wish him, his staff and the players the best of luck over the course of the forthcoming season and believe the Canaries are well equipped to stay up and also entertain the home fans too with their fast paced football.

CANTWELL SHINES IN VICTORY
Match Report - August 22nd 2020

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/8SnuCPshXUzL7fPhX49MuYqIaYd9R3fToxyoGbES.png

Todd Cantwell scored and laid on two assists for his teammates as Norwich won their first game of the season in the Premier League with a convincing 4-1 victory over Southampton at Carrow Road.

Norwich took the lead through Cantwell on 13 minutes as he found the top corner from 21 metres. It took less than sixty seconds for the Canaries to double their lead as Cantwell laid the ball off for Kenny McLean to strike a low drive past the Saints goalkeeper from just outside the box.

Ondrej Duda made it 3-0 with a penalty on the half hour mark after Ryan Bertrand brought down Teemu Pukki in the area with a misjudged challenged. It was a brace for Duda after the hour mark as he found the net with a stunning free kick that gave Alex McCarthy no chance.

Southampton striker Che Adams score a consolation goal on 77 minutes, heading in from close range following a pin-point cross from James Ward-Prowse.

The win takes Norwich up to 6th place on 5 points after 3 games.
