Two files, one retains all players from nations unplayable in the game, one retains players for all clubs with a UEFA coefficient.
Place into the EDT folder before starting a new game for this to work
(note applying the Sortitoutsi licence fix, place my files after the licence fix.

Not sure If that would work (for IOS Touch version)? I may give it a go though.
Would I have to create a folder called EDT folder? I don’t even know what that is?
Where would that even go in the folder route?
Any clues appreciated.

However, I don't know if it will work on IOS Touch version given the limitation of the game on this platform. It definitely work on PC Touch version, though.

Stupidly, I uploaded without checking in the game first- I saved as a EDT file instead of a DDT file.
Re-uploaded and now should work (not sure if in the iOS version though)

I don’t think the ddt files work on the iOS version which is a shame. Can’t get around the three nation only rule sigh .....

Can I just confirm them for Windows routing it should be ........

Just questioning this and also that the football manager part should be in lower case, not Football Manager?
Cheers

Lower case or upper case not important really, just paste the file in the right place using Windows File Explorer
(the path you showed was for full version of Football Manager, not FMT. File should work with that version too, but not necessary, as the advanced start game options in full version allow a lot more freedom to choose all players from nationality, all players based in nation, all players in top division etc. etc. for any country you like, so don't need to go to the trouble of creating a DDT file, much easier)
Also, depends which version of the database you are going to start your game with, if latest database in the 2040 folder, if original database, 2000 folder etc. etc.

Hi there, I have followed your guide to the T. Cleared cache in game on the PC and tried in both career mode and also create a club mode. All of the time, none of the main internationals from Malta come up, yet there is a retain Malta line of code in your .ddt file.
I have even copied the same files into the various databases in case there was an issue there. I am using the most up-to-date database that there is (20.4 i believe).
Any help from anyone is appreciated. This is for the PC Touch version of FMT 20.
Many thanks

(file extension should be a ddt, but should be in the edt folder)
So that should make the files work at least:
However, it will only retain as many players as there are in the database in the first place, and there aren't that many Maltese players in the FMT database...
(not sure how the FMT and FM full databases link together. If you are using the file that retains all teams with a UEFA coefficient file as well, you will see for some reason Balzan seem to have a full squad, including several Maltesers. But the other six teams only have between 4 and 8 players retained, and amongst those only 2 or 3 altogether of Maltese nationality. Seemed to be 5 or 6 additional Maltesers retained from foreign clubs. So you might struggle to get enough players to make the national team playable due to these database limitations.)

The next thing I was thinking of was using FMRTE to create the players over un-attached ones and then adding their photos to their respective new players id’s. Not ideal but would be a way of getting another 25-30 Maltese players into the database.
Thanks for your reply anyway.

Thanks for your help along the way jbz.
