Around Europe Backwards - from Wales to Austria

Needless to say I'm happy with the last 6 games and we go into the last 5 with a real crack at it, we still have to play Bangor and TNS, and these are the games that will probably decide the championship.

We are in the Semi-Final of the Welsh Cup against Newtown, I will be fielding a full strength line up.

Bellamy, the 17 year old wonderkid, been injured since the most recent Bangor game so hopefully we will have him back soon in the run in. The free-transferred player from Barry has really made our midfield tick this year, although Finselbach isn't doing badly in his stead.

Sadly there are two cups in Wales so it's at least another season. Casey Thomas has fractured his skull in training and will miss the rest of the season, Josh Knight has the chance to take over in his stead.

Good luck with the last 5 games and Cup games. Double is still possible, but not easy with two away games against Bangor and TNS to come.

Going into this I really didn't have a hope, but both TNS and Bangor went to pot leaving me to coast home. The game against TNS I fielded a B-Team and somehow we won?!

We were lucky in both cup games and we were saved by last minute heroics from Frater in the Semi and Roberts (who was only playing due to squad weakness and joins Aberystwyth at the end of the season) in the Final.

We need to seriously strengthen for next season as I believe Bangor threw the title away really, and I need to win the Premier League Cup, a bit annoying as I'd like to move on, does anyone know the rules on this? I assume it's all cups .

The board have set an initial budget of 3.2k per week and 0 transfer budget. Hopefully I can get it adjusted as it might not be enough to strengthen enough although I only need to win the cup.

We have a squad oriented to the future and we should be stronger next season, keep an eye out for transfers and pre-season soon.

I'm not sure if there is a super-cup? Thanks if there is, haha! Wales has two cups, and the cup I need is just a standard cup, albeit with not many rounds.

Trivia: The Welsh cup I have just won is now only available to teams associated to the Welsh FA. But it was once open to English/English FA affiliated teams.

Previous winners (trophy wins in brackets) include various Welsh teams, such as Cardiff, Swansea, Newport etc but also some more left field English teams: Bristol City (1) (my team), Shrewsbury (6), Chester City (3), Wellington Town (3), Crewe (2), Oswestry (2), Hereford (1), Tranmere (1), admittedly they are all "border territory" teams.

Hereford actually managed to win something?!

Ok we'll start with the games.



Our preseason was just awful but the team's morale isn't too low, so this is good. That isn't a real cup there, It's a friendly competition I made.

Despite the defeat against Swansea I was happy with the way we restricted their chances. They have been announced as our parent club, we played our European tie at the Liberty Stadium too, because ours was too small.

The first leg at the Liberty was good and we really restricted a brilliant Dinamo team. In the second leg we got to 2-1 in the 80th minute and I decided to go for it, and it ended up 4-1 on the night and 5-1 on average. IIRC this one game got us 170k for competing in it. Our YEARLY wage budget is around 155k. So this money is really helpful for the club, you can understand when this money is being thrown around why TNS have been so successful.



Scott Evans (25 - ML, D/WBL, MC ) - Scott is a great player and very versatile, I wanted him before he went to Carmarthen. Carmarthen's relegation really helped us get him.
Alex Samuel (18 - MC) - I didn't see him coming in, it is really hard to get good loanees to come to Wales, he should be a star man this year.
Jonathan Evans (21 - AMC-ST) - Jonathan will be a squad player but he has real potential.
Meirion Hartnell (27 - AMC/MC/AML) - A squad player, I overpaid but he should do a job.
Sam Parry (24 - AMR) - Sam was returned before playing a game, we cannot scout the English league so I took a shot, and he wasn't good enough.
Jeff Garner (17 - DR/L) - Jeff is a great prospect and is a good right-back in this league, will be back up for now.
Tom Bates (16 - MC) - A Backup MC and has great potential.
Neil Cartwright (32 - MR, WB/DR, MC, AMRC) Another loan gamble, a rather more successful player, versatile and a squad player (largely backup to Chris O'Sullivan)
Elliott Jones (18 - ST) - Backup striker and youth prospect
Dylan Evans (19 - GK) - Youth prospect keeper.

Good signings I guess with the budget and the fact you are in Wales. Brought the title to Bow Street last year so I know how hard it is to get good players to your club. I know I used quite a lot of regens since it was 2014-2015. Good luck this season.

Not a bad pre season mate!

Hi guys, a good first 6 for us. I really didn't think we could compete with TNS, and I was right. Their strength in attack is just indefensible. Winning all the other games were important, and we achieved that. We look a better team than last year, and games aren't as tight as they were.




Also here is the all important Welsh Premier Cup draw, the most important competition for me this year, so I can escape to the Ukraine. .

A busy October for PTT, including the 1st round and the quarter final of the all important Premier League cup. We slumped to an unexpected defeat to Airbus, but I could not fault the team really.

The Semi Final will be played in November, for some reason I believe the Premier League cup final to be played in May?!

It SHOULD be an easy tournament to win, the good teams are out, 4th placed Airbus are a handy outfit, however.

I got very bored of this game but last night I decided to power through and this was the result (I don't want to bore you with the minutiae!)





Without a sniff for a while after resigning, Goverla - Zakkarpattya Ozhgorod, sacked their manager when they were relegated, I expressed interest and they were flattered with my application! The Ukrainian were mystified why an unknown English manager was given this opportunity of leading Goverla back up to the Premier League.



They've moved from 12,000 seater Avanhard Stadium to share the Lviv Arena (built for Euro 2012) a 33k seater stadium with half of the precedes being paid in rent.



Our squad is good and contains some good players, including David Odonkor, remember him?

Good club to have. No budget for new players will make it hard. Maybe selling one talented player will give you some room. Good luck in Ukraine.

Wow! I'm not on for a couple days and get back to find you've completed Wales and are now on to Ukraine! Fantastic god luck here mate!

Today I spent a few hours, completing my pre-season, brought in some back-room staff. Three loanees joined (2 from Brazil). Then the game crashed.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Because I am loathed to continue to waste my time.
