FM20 crossplay

Hey lads.

Does anybody know if online crossplay is possible?
Meaning playing on Steam, with your friend using Epic Launcher?

I own a Steam version of FM20 and the game has been having many hotfixes recently. Patch notes state that the main issues being fixed are online play-related. Also, many commentors are asking about having trouble connecting with their Origin-using friend to play FM20 online.

I don't play FM online at all, so I wouldn't know much about it, but it should be possible, provided that SI manage to fix the issues involved in it.
